Im from the Midwest alot of people sound Canadian so its normal to me lol, plus my coach is from Canada i cant talk shit lol
That Fargo Midwest accent is the best. It is kinda similar to a northern Canadian accent actually.

When you were on the podcast I didn't pickup that much of an accent dontchaknow

Shhh 😂 blowing my cover over here, im originally from the east coast Pennsylvania to be exact thats why u dont here that shit coming out my mouth lol

I'm open about everything, but thankfully no planet fitness skeletons in my closet lol. Only seen them from the outside haha
They loved bringing it up always reminded me where i came from, truth be told if it wasn't for that podcast and those two guys i would see any of the success i have, my coach is great and he also plays a huge role in it, those guys got the wheels turning and made me reflect and helped me make the decision to join a bodybuilding and powerlifting gym, after that my growth with the help of my coach exploded.

Great point. I got the really expensive pure cold pressed avocado oil. I'm only adding 1 tbsp to the shake. Helps eliminate the super chalky texture of the vegan stuff. Hopefully next bloodwork my uric acid is back up and I can stop this vegan stuff lol
good job. EVO family appreciates that tip

No way. PA is one of our closest neighbours here in Toronto. It's beautiful out there. Explains the lack of accent. You gotta work on that bro.

Just found out we're recording Saturday morning. The boys were really cool about accommodating my schedule cuz I'm so busy with work. No idea when it's coming out though, I'm just along for the ride on this one.
bros dayum that came on fast. look forward to it

I think they strike a really good balance on the show and play off eachother really well. @Mobster has brings then funny, tons of life experiences, and old school hardcore mentality and then @stevesmi has great stories combined with a wealth of scientific info. They really make the perfect pairing cuz on their own the show wouldn't be nearly as good.
very true

That wont ever change my guy lol how i speak is here for good lol

Yeah I work in Wisconsin all the time. Yall talk Canadian every time it gets cold. Cracks me up. And the wearing shorts in the winter. The further north in Wisconsin the more unhinged the behavior.

Ya it's difficult because when you do a labour job that changes day to day I have no idea what my work output will be like. I also don't like taking training days off...feels like weakness creeping in when you let that happen.
Climbing poles on leg day has had me wrecked a couple times. I lean into the pain and tell myself that if I can’t do both I can’t do either. But I always hit a breaking point and then I can’t lift for a while.

Never say never. Those accents have a way of creeping up on you
Bro, are you an alt of ImHim? Just curious ;) The names are just opposite haha.

You better put some respect on my name and state lol 😆 😂 i fucking wear shorts and a t shirt in winter even when its -20 lol yeah we are just built different man lol

Ya thankfully my work isn't as crazy as yours. I rarely cook 1 specific body part, except shoulders sometimes, but it's more systemic fatigue. Then I get home and I'm tired but I still have to train, but I don't do missed training days. I know it's a meathead move but most of the time it works out ok lol. Only now and again so I crash my recovery...it's a fine line

That's hilarious.

Naw my name is just my initials, and a little reminder to just be myself. It's easy to get caught up here trying to be someone you're not. Seeing all these amazing physiques, thinking why can't I be like that guy. Just a small reminder to be myself.

@Noah Wixx is way more Canadian then me lol. You won't catch me out in shorts in the winter...I should just hand over my citizenship now...shame lol

Thanks @LevButlerov

It comes some easy now. I'm hungry lol. I eat a lot of meat and then at the end of the day I'm like oh 450g of protein, or 480, or 500!!! It just happens.

I think the NPP has really spiked my appetite a lot
Dang, that's some seriously growing amounts of protein. I feel like I could never get that much down a day. That would be like 5 lbs of a meat a day for a carnivore! I would definitely need to take something that would make me hungry to make that happen. Awesome job bro you got to eat a lot if u want to grow a lot!

See I said the exact same thing before I started this high protein diet, but it's not as hard as you think. Took me about a week to adjust and get my protein up from 300-400g a week, and only one extra scoop of protein went into that 100g increase. Just increase your meat intake each day. 20-30 extra grams per meal one day, a little bit more the next day. It's funny how quick the body adjusts too it..next thing I know some days when I eat like a pig at dinner I'm at 500g of protein when I log my dinner macros lol.

Podcast complete, what a fun time. I got super nervous outta no where when the podcast started...hearing Steve do the EVO intro live suddenly it just hit me..I'm on the podcast.. my hands were shaking...what a dork lol.

Hopefully I did a good job for you guys. I woke up early, drank some coffee, did my supplements, hit some cardio, review my cycle notes, tried to think of everything I could do to improve the outcome...and then my fukn internet drops. I have a hardwired 3gb fiber to the home feed...and my internet goes down. Guess that's where that saying about God laughing at your plans comes from.

Big thanks to @stevesmi and @Mobster for having me

No clue yet. That's up to the guys and the admins on the streaming services. I listen on Spotify and YouTube and Spotify uploads them faster. Not sure about iTunes, but they're available there as well.

Log Day 132

Yesterday was pretty tough. A little bit tired from work and sub-optimal sleep and the night before last. My numbers were a bit down but not terrible. I'm training as we speak and my numbers are back where they should be so thankfully I'm not in a total slump.

Eating has been good on my new macros. I am feeling a tad hungry, but I'll get used to it. I've been eating like a monster for 4 months so it makes sense.

Found a way to make my vegan protein palatable, just add some avocado oil and it's drinkable. I'm sure I'll get used to that too.

Pinned with an insulin syringe for the first time last night. Went pretty good. Think I'm gonna start warming the test in water to speed things up a bit. It wasn't as bad as every says timing wise. Barely even felt the pin. I'm liking it.

@BeMe glad to hear your numbers are back to normal man. Way to keep check on that

That's a right of passage in Wisconsin u dont do that we know you aren't from here or one of us lol

He's done 4 episodes now. I only thought it was 3, but nope 4. So I got 1 to listen too still.

If you search @Noah Wixx name his interviews will come up.
My very first one is under toppsbaseball88 i remember being so stoked to talk with Stevesmi, on the simple fact i have alot of respect for him and the knowledge he taught me with the evo podcasts.

I felt the exact same. I had the small advantage of having a consult with him once before so I was kinda comfortable talking to him already. When @Mobster came on I was kinda like...holy shit...I'm actually talking to Mobster. Then when Steve went into the intro I was like omg...I'm on the podcast...and the nerves were intense.

Yeah i was pretty excited for sure i know how you feel, when i got to do the shows with both of them i felt very at home and in a nice groove the guys are awesome with helping you along and giving you freedom to speak and really be part of the show with them, thats why i say class acts both of them.

100%

Stevesmi is really good at controlling the pace cuz there was a few times I think we coulda just kept talking on and on about one topic but he kept it moving. The time flew.

It would be fun if they did a long form podcast like Rogan and just let things fly for as long as they could talk. I have a list of questions to ask Steve anout subjects they've discussed on the podcast that I need to know more about for personal cycle planning. Gonna ask him on our next consult.

I do think that would be a really cool idea or do a round table with two loggers on the same podcast

Log Day 134

Took my last dose of Primo and NPP last night so my cycle is officially over. @stevesmi and @Mobster made a great case on the podcast today for not tapering long ester compounds and it sounded very logical. Extending the length of a cycle to taper is more negative then positive. Next time I'll probably just stop and see how that goes for me.

Now that I'm off it's a sport TRT+ cruise til my next cycle. 70mg test e EOD and 2iu GH everyday before bed.

The GH still has me recovering amazingly well. I feel like I'm getting an extra hour of sleep every night.

I still haven't experienced any drop off in the gym and my weight is hanging on around 190lbs. I'm very interested to see how things go in the coming weeks while I'm cruising. Hopefully I can keep hanging on to my gains, or atleast most of them.

Ya it's tough because both sides seem really logically sound and both arguments make a lot of sense.

I think the only for me to do is try both and find which one suits me best.

I know this taper has been really good for me so far. I've maintained my strength and gains. Time will tell. I'll keep logging it.

you can taper all you want. but the esters will taper on their own. unless you use a no ester option

Intense debate. I love it.

Both sides make so much sense.

I wonder if there's been any studies done that would settle the debate. Doubtful, but it would be nice if there was.

Next time I'm running longer esters I'm just gonna stop and see how I feel. If I can shorten my time on cycle with the same results that would be great.

well look at it this way. if you run a cycle with a long ester you.. lets say test cyp. it will take a solid 6 weeks for it to be out of your system. the bloodwork proves it

Adding into this debate remember for almost 3 weeks i dropped my dose from 500 test into 250 test and from 150mast into 100 mast ?

I saw zero strength lose no regression in my lifts weight moved or reps or endurance.

This week is the first week im officially back up at 500 test and 150 mast.

I noticed no mood changes or any mental swings

Both compounds long esters

Very true. Makes total sense to me.

You've had a few disagreements with common opinions because of esters. On one of the podcasts you spoke about it and said "I'm a strong believer in esters". You were speaking in relation to pinning schedules in that instance.

During that 6 weeks when the half life is wearing off does someone's test levels drop off a cliff after 6 weeks or slowly decline over that period? But then I guess the next question would be is it the same for all compounds, probably not.

Interesting. Makes sense.

But @LevButlerov did mention a phenomenon like a high when you come off and get almost stronger. He warned me not to fall into that trap and start lifting heavy and get injured.

Yeah i never looked at it in that context or paid that much attention i always fall into the camp im gonna get weaker lose skze and strength, could just be in my head at that point.

Lev does make sense ive noticed like i said when we spoke last night it can become addicting lifting stronger simply because now you can. When you realize all lifts are going up by 10-20lbs week after week once the compounds truly kick in it is hard to let off the gas.

Its something u learn to control over time.

Ya I stopped pushing 1 rep maxes mid cycle. After hearing all the stories I held back and stuck with high rep work.

Now that I'm coming down in working in the 6-12 rep ranges again but still staying away from the really heavy stuff.

Pushing a big bench for the first time is sooooo tempting tho. But hearing @stevesmi talk about tearing his shoulder on Tren I'm being good. I only have 1.8 shoulders on my body at this point already lol

Nothing but Tren and red meat for me until I'm strong enough to make you my poosy. I figure it will take a couple weeks.

slowly declines until there is so little left it feels like you fall off a cliff

I hit my big 315lb bench and that was good enough for me because i actually hit over 300lbs so as a bodybuilder i will take that as a win, dont need to push any further.

I will just do weighted dips and improve that area over time, yeah tren is a wcary one for that reason the strength aspect lol.

I'm definitely going to run it that way next time and I'll log my experience the whole time. I'll be sure to remind everyone of this debate when I do.

So is it the same when starting a cycle? Let's say you know already you're good at 500 test e per week. Would you better off just starting at 500 right away vs titrating up?

Thanks bro. Still pretty mild compared to your workload tho lol. You really stand out as one of the most hardcore training logs I've ever seen.

There were times when I was questioning myself a bit wondering if maybe I'm going too hard when I was really pushing really hard on cycle. But then I remembered logs like yours and thought, I'm not even close to some of these guys so I'm good.

i dont agree with mobster and steve on this one i think all compounds u gotta taper brother
but not tapering is a way as well

On his show he said
`1) Tapering has less of a shock on the system. But it's not the system it's how YOU feel on vs off test. You'll still have to wait for the longer esters to clear regardless of tapering or not. That's not feel that's science.
2) We said: You still need to get your own test restarted. That's true regardless of the method.

Tapering up or down is the very same as pyramiding. Which was a HUGE deal back in the day and I was HUGE on the idea. But you're shut down (or almost) regardless. It did NOT help with natural production.

Nor with the actual results.

All tapering does is make you feel less of a difference.

Adding into this debate remember for almost 3 weeks i dropped my dose from 500 test into 250 test and from 150mast into 100 mast ?

Both compounds long esters
So arguably you'll still have had some of the higher amounts in the system for ALL three weeks.

I used the same argument myself (I was being dull before the penny dropped) in my log 3 cycles back. I'd hit a lifetime best bench of 202.5kg on sus and deca. Two weeks post cycle and I'm still pushing big numbers completely forgetting the half lives. If, as Stevesmi says, it's be short or no esters that's different.

Yeah i never looked at it in that context or paid that much attention i always fall into the camp im gonna get weaker lose skze and strength, could just be in my head at that point.

It sounded as though that's what it comes down to. I can see how both sides make sense so I just gotta try both and see how I feel.

You guys always preach on the podcast, nothing is true for everyone, all our bodies are different. This is probably just another example of that.

Really interesting debate though. I love when the vets go back and forth on a subject cuz guys like me really learn a lot.

Unlike when @Mobster drops one sentence on me and disappears leaving me questioning everything I've ever done in my life LOL. Just kiddn, it's a good method cuz it forces me to go out there and figure things out for myself, after you've pointed me in the right direction. I was trying to say that on the podcast but the convo went in a different direction.

look forward to hearing it @BeMe hopefully there is a nice mix of funny/serious. that is what makes it entertaining
I think we managed that. It's all kind of a blur to me..it all happened so fast. I do remember the Steve's laughing, and we finished talking about @BodyMonster34 which is always a good time.

bros if you cruising you won't notice big off cliff. people who stop cold turkey with no pct are the ones who deal with that @BeMe
That's a really good point in all this. I'm cruising on a pretty decent dose of test and GH.

I was a TRT lifer before I tried this first cycle. When I got tested just before I turned 40 my testosterone was in the low 200s.

Thanks @Ulter !

I'm not an engineer, I'm an electrical contractor, but I'm a very mechanical guy and can relate to how engineers view the world to a lesser extent. I don't know the terminologies, or calculations like you guys but I can look at stuff and appreciate how it works together. That's kind of the approach I have with all this tracking I do. The more you measure the more you know. If someone smart studied all the stuff I track and took over my peds/training/nutrition they could probably turn me into Ivan Dragoff from Rocky lol.

I offen feel the guys who say control your tempo dont go that heavy are speaking from experience and understand what can happen.

Yea the stories of injury on cycle are endless. Gotta listen to the guys that came before us and avoid those pitfalls.

Log Day 135

I finally built up the courage to listen back to the podcast. Thankfully it wasn't nearly as bad as it went in my head. Atleast my voice wasn't shaking like my hands were in the beginning lol. Something about hearing @stevesmi do the Evolutionary Hardcore 2.0 into really triggered something in my brain, like oh shit you're on the podcast. I always thought that was recorded too but he does it live.

Yesterday was a pretty active rest day. Had a ton of running around to do after I got a shit ton of paperwork completed. I hit 12k steps with no treadmill.

Recovery was good yesterday. Caught up on some missed sleep the night before and felt great this morning. Tonight I officially start cruising.

Not even old naggy stuff?

I will aggrivate old injuries now and again. My knees especially. I'm pretty good lately tho. I've learned my knees can only handle 1 squat session a week. Doesn't matter variations or anything...1 ONLY. Took me a bit to realize that lol.

That's a bitch. Was it a repetitive work thing?

I got it in my right wrist, but that's the least of my problems with that thing after the major issues I had there.

My doctor told me back in the day I'll have arthritis and there's nothing I can do about it, just gotta deal with it. I stopped hitting punching bags cuz I didn't want to speed it up. 1

I got the raw link from @stevesmi

Not sure when its coming out. Might need some editing cuz of my internet going down during the podcast...the only time it ever goes down is the one time I really need it.

More like pulling a heavy pallet of bricks up an incline driveway and the lift on the box truck was manually operated, coworker didnt show up that day so it was me solo on the truck, because the incline the lift platform was at a slight incline so im trying to hold the heavy pallet on the platform with one arm fully out stretched and my other arm fully out stretched trying to operate the lift, and snap crackle pop my friend lol

Damn! talk about a serious injury, you need real BPC therapy on the regular. @Noah Wixx

@BeMe How did I just come across this gem of a log after you've been helping me on mine for so long? Talk about a nugget of gold of a first few posts. You're a beast for detail... I've got a lot to read in the morning!

It's nothing to do with training to failure as such (certainly not directly). How many times did we see, as I've mentioned on the shows, pec, bicep and quad tears back in the 80's and 90's? Often. The issue was less form and more on training vs off training.

On we gain quicker and get stronger quicker. Far quicker, in fact, than our connective tissue. So tendon, sinew and fascia tears AND muscle tears.

Lev IS correct, if not accurate for the why, in that IF form gets sloppy injuries will occur. But then the key phrase becomes 'training to failure IN GOOD FORM' and thus negating his statement.

The whole 'holding back from failure' or 'having something in reserve' is ok. It's no big deal as such. Arguably you're holding yourself back from making progress quicker. Like I said earlier it's more likely we do it so as to be able to stick with our 7 day week training schedules vs balls out and then resting long enough to recover. Equally we COULD train balls out and really work harder on recovery (of course we all work and or have other shit going on). Heck, only the late Monstro was a pro bodybuilder in title and in act too.

Ya I definitely don't think training to failure was the problem, but those final few reps are the danger zone typically. Maintaining good form throughout is pretty critical to staying healthy with the exception of a few cheat exercises that can be done somewhat safely.

As you said, tired and sloppy are the 2 big killers to watch out for. Never training to failure would be no fun at all. I'm usually guilty of overestimating my reps in reserve just cuz I love pushing it so hard. I keep my music cranked pretty loud so my wife doesn't hear and make fun of the sounds she hears coming outta my gym lol. She loves teasing me about the noises she heard during training.

yeah i hate electrical contractors .. you are the guys who always show up late to the jobs on a deadline. lol

I bet your wife's name is Candice and Candice is actually a man similar to feinkle and ihorn in ace venture
bro ace ventura a troo story too. i bet if you holder you would have put laces in and screwed up the kick like Tony Romo Homo did in playoff game and ruined my cowboys season

Lol the feeling is mutual towards electrical engineers. Always designing prints that will never work in reality lol

You're a cowboys fan? I thought u were cool..now not so much. Probably a longhorns guy too lol. Tea sipper.

I don't really mind that. I should lean back out a bit as I come off and I'll get a better look at the new muscle I've added. I'm really curious too see how much I actually gained on cycle too.

Log Day 136

Not a ton to report about yesterday. Weekends are rest days on this new split so nothing but steps yesterday. Got my steps up walking around the Toronto Aquarium. Went with the fam, pretty good time apart from all the crowds. It was some anime convention down there too so there were a lot of freaky lookn people. Even saw some furries for the first time lol.

My food timing was all messed up yesterday..had to leave for the aquarium at 1 so I ate 2 meals before then, really packed it in. Didn't get home til 7 and I ate dinner around 8. I was starving so I ate like a pig. My sleep last night was messed up from that meal. I'm posting the charts. My heart rate was all over the place. I got a decent sleep but the quality was down. Almost looks like my sleep graph when I used to drink a beer with dinner sometimes.

BP this morning was the highest ever at 140/80. Starting to wonder if I need to take something to bring it down.

I know I know...I'm not a picture guy. I could hear @Npcclassicphysique champ in my head saying where's the pics lol. It was sooo damn crowded and I was chasing my nieces and nephews around to give my bros a bit of a break.

Heart rate probably did get high from all the stress with the crowds and people pressing up on me constantly...does that count lol.

Then driving out was a whole nother stress ball. Downtown Toronto on the weekend in the summer is a nightmare. Took my bro more than an hour to go 2 miles to the fair after. Me I did a whole bunch of illegal turns and drove like a total ass hole to get outta there a bit faster
