What would be the best way to entire ketosis? Water fast or keto diet? When I did fasting i was very comfortable on it but when I follow a ckd kind of irritation happen..but why I don't know...what you thought on it? On cutting cycle should I use fasting or fasting with carb cycling?

Are you associated with CKD? What symptom you facing during irritation by CKD?
well, regarding a keto diet, you should intake food which is high in omega-3 fatty acids.
Lower your carbohydrate intake and glucose levels, the better be the overall results. Its better to take about 30- 35 grams of net carbs per day. Increase high fat in your diet (70%).
 
My macro is 80 % fat 15 % carbs and 25 % protine that all

Depends on who you listen to, if you followed a strict keto diet then a max of 20-30g of carbs, anywhere between 80 and 150g of protein is permissible and rest from fats, however this would not be way I would do it.

Personally I would follow a low carb high fat diet which would be ~30g nett carbs (total carbs less fibre), 1 to 1.5g protein and the balance of calories from fats, not a strict diet and probably not going to get you into a deep state of ketosis due to gluconeogenises
 
if you water fast you will entire a deep ketosis by day 3.

the keto diet i never believed in. i still do not believe you can enter ketosis by eating just meat and greens. everything you put into your body gets converted to sugar. so the only way to not have that happen and actually go into ketosis is fasting. i have yet to have anyone prove to me otherwise and i have tried it myself multiple times

How do you explain how people get high ketone blood readings when still eating

do they get it consistently? they actually do not

i actually asked dave palumbo who pushes keto diet this question and he said "oh those strips are not accurate" .. yeah sure buddy.. what happens is you wake up in the morning, piss on a strip and get ketones.. well yeah you been not eating all night, that is fasting.

when you water fast from day 4 on you will be pissing out ketones at a high amount 24/7. i logged it with pics as proof. i have yet to see any shred of evidence a 'keto diet' can match that.. not even close .. and i have tried it myself.

my view is that anytime you eat anything it gets converted to sugar in the body, our bodies run on glycogen. so eating steak all day isn't going to put you in ketosis like people think. but by all means prove me wrong i am always learning
 
Don't do keto, tried it but wasn't for me. Just saying that that ketone strips do not give an accurate result as once you are in ketosis your body is utilising the ketones instead of the carbs and therefore strips are rendered useless as the levels of ketones in urine drop once you are fat adapted. Blood Glucose / ketone meters are more accurate.

Agree with you on fastest way to get in ketosis is not to eat. Keto advocates (outside of bodybuilders) would say only 60, 70 or so g of protein is all you can eat

Protein can be converted into sugar via Gluconeogenesis.

Fats CAN NOT be converted into sugar.

That's why a keto diet is very high fat, low protein and zero carb. Usually 80% fat, 15% protein, 5% carb

the keto diets that 99% of guys do are not that way at all.

they think that eating steak all day is keto. it is a misrepresented diet just like paleo

He stated 70% fat 20% protein 10% carbs being 20 net carbs per day or less only getting carbs from vegetables which being plants that grow above ground and certain nuts are high in fat. He says not to subtract the fiber from the carbs count the carbs all together. Check that podcast out you can learn a ton! I believe is episode 994 Joe Rogan podcast

that is the standard keto diet yes

but the facts are it doesn't actually put you into ketosis. even if eating JUST FATS did put you into ketosis, as soon as you ate a steak, or piece of chicken you would get kicked right out.

my big gripe with keto diet is that they don't want you eating fruits. the bottom line is fruit has a very low glycemic load. fruit also is very easy to digest and are loaded with vitamins we need

You're right, the body does convert fat and protein into glucose. Even patients on medically monitored 2 week water fasts, still have glucose in their bloodstream. Being "In ketosis" is... not exactly as extreme as the term itself implies. For one thing, even when drinking nothing but water, your muscles and other tissues have enough glycogen to supply full levels of glucose for almost a week.

What's being called "ketosis" is really more like "a decrease in glucose levels" coupled with "an increase in ketones" not "an absence of glucose with only ketones". The whole "Your brain starts operating on ketones" however, is complete garbage and never, ever happens. But when there are more ketones, your brain does use less of the glucose. The keytones sort of crowd out the glucose. But the effect is still pretty modest.

What is the fascination with reaching ketosis anyways? You can lose fat if you just eat less calories than you burn in a day. Doesn't matter how you get those calories. Guys will just keep looking for some "magic diet" when it really isn't that complex.

Exactly. The Dave Palumbo keto diet is NOT a keto diet. It's way too high in protein to actually enter ketosis.

A proper keto diet is essentially a pure fat diet.

It was only when I did Alexia’s keto program that I realized all the mistakes that I’d done before on keto… I wasn’t even in ketosis, no wonder I didn’t lose weight. ;) Alexia was great, she gave me all info that I needed and also moral support when I wanted to run back to McDonald's. ;)

100% Because, god forbid, people admit they ate too much. They KNOW they gotta eat less.
