Ok so Ive been working out heavy for around 4 years now and have made huge gains. I eat plenty of meals a day ( 6 or 7) and as far as supplements I only take whey protein and creatine. I only take 50 grams of whey protein a day which is very little compared to the amount of protein I get from food. I only take 1 teaspoon (about 5 grams) of creatine and only after I work out 4 days a week. Recently I got a physical and the blood work came back and showed that I had increased liver enzymes. The doctor said that it is probably from the creatine. She wants me to stop taking it for a month and come back for more blood work. So I guess my question is, does creatine cause an increase in liver enzymes? Also, should I expect any adverse effects of stopping creatine abruptly?
tl;dr I have increased liver enzymes, is creatine the cause?
