Thursday
Maxed out (like to the stops lol) the gym scale. Was a little damp from the rain I'd been in walking down so... home scale said 336lbs. Even though it was still tough and I got a great pump I was holding back a little to set me up for tomorrows max bench session. Currently, to the best of my knowledge, the best bench in my local gym is 205kg/451lbs by Shay

Dumbbell Hammer Curls
to 70kg/154lbs x 15 reps

s/s

EZ Skull Crushers
to 69kg/152lbs x 15 reps

MA Pulley P/Downs
stack x 20 reps

Bet your hand size is huge.
Length wise a little above average (not much mind) but my hands have broadened and thickened over the years of training. I also have long thumbs compared to some which is great for thick bar and pinch work

However, the grip community can obsess over these things whereas I just often outworked them regardless of hand size

How much do you think hand size actually plays a part in grip strength?

None. It's up there with dick size and having a personality. Or bicep size and winning the MrO.

It's comparable to those idiots who tell you 'if I used steroids I'd look like you'. No you wouldn't.

My hands are wide and thick cos I've lifted for 43 years. The length is genetic. The work and my records are all my own

Friday
@ Powerhouse. Chris and Ken with me and I also coached and spotted Kirk on another station.

Close Grip Bench Press

Iso Mid-Row

I should also state that any properly set up competition includes events which suit smaller hands too

So this is the last day of the EuroPharmacies/Purity Source Labs 28 day bulk. How did I do? Well I hit, at one point, an all time highest body-weight of 336lbs and maintained my previous best of 334lbs. As a 'bulk' it's 100% been the best ever.

Strength wise I'm right up there too. My all time best ever bench press of 429lbs, Another PB on the mid-iso row with 308lbs and other lifts went up very quickly.

I used EP sus and deca throughout (250mg each every 4th day) . Zero issues with PIP unless my injecting technique was poor. EP Dbol for the first 18 days at 30mg then I switched to 50mg a day of EP Anavar for power only over bulk. I also ran an AI. In addition, as i have for months now, EP MK677 at 25mg a day. The total doses was the highest amounts of PEDS I've ever ran and I deffo noticed how I felt on this cycle

Post cycle I fully expect to keep a lot of strength (if not all) as I'm focused on low rep strength right now but equally I'll drop at least 5-7lbs of body-weight. Being 336lbs is GREAT for strength but super poor for cardio so getting some level of comfort back in that area will be good. The bench press I'll restart a program on with the working sets reset at 145kg (5kg up from the last one). Some other lifts haven't maxed out so even losing some strength after a cycle wont play on my mind

My forum name, one I've used for 20+ years, ironically isn't 'hood' related. It comes from the magazine I edited and published - Muscle Mob. That title came via three sources. One was a writer of Mick Harts 'No Bull' magazine. Another was John Romano (along with Dave Palumbo) and finally the previous publisher and editor (the first year) the late David Gentle. Ergo if you read the magazine you was a 'Muscle Mobster'. John did a 'Muscle Mobster' T-Shirt (I have one for winning an MD 500 word essay competition - I won 2 in total (both published in MD)). I also created sew-on Muscle Mobster patches featuring the Millennium Dumbbell

Basically anyone who lifts and also supports or is a fan of the sport above and beyond the norm. I think I qualify lol

@Mobster for sure you're making some training changes I want to see how you do, you're huge so these are light days for you

yes a lot of people are copying his workouts they are excellent

What is your max goal weight I hope you're not going to end up 400 pounds

I can see mobster pushing 350 no problems

Friday
Trained with Chris (to 70kg) and Ken (5 sets of 3 x 112.5kg). I was seeing where I am now (post the 195kg effort last week) with a view to seeing where I'd start from on the next training cycle. I also road tested elbow wraps. I ended up on a much bigger number (post cycle) than expected. My right shoulder does feel sore (during and after)

Close Grip Bench Press
to 120kg x 1, 145kg x 3, 150kg x 3, 155kg (mis-load by the guys), 160kg x3 and 165kg x 3. Felt good(ish) so 170kg x 1, 175kg x 1, 180kg x 1 and stopped at 185kg x 1 (not supposed to be able to do this at this point)

s/s

LPD/Low Cable Row
(LPD only cos I was waiting for the other machine)
LPD 1/2 stack x 12 reps LCR 1/2 stack x 12, stack x 12 reps

Bwt: nearly 334lbs

So I'm gonna do an 16 week prog (ending approx at the end of February)and try for the 200kg/440lbs again. Go back through this log I saw what I was doing on September 9th which was 140kg for 3 x 7 sets. That seems a bit much set wise so I'll stick to the following:

Wk1: 145kg 5 x 3
Wk2: 147.5kg 5 x 3
Wk3: 150kg 5 x 3
Wk4: 152.5kg 5 x 3
Wk5: 155kg 5 x 3
Wk6: 157.5kg x 5 x 3
Wk7: 160kg 5 x 3
Wk8: 162.5kg x 5 x 3

At this point, baring in mind I did 5 heavy sets today to 165kg x 3, I'll review the sets and reps. My last 1-2 sessions (Wk15 or so) will be 4 x 1 x 190kg

great work bro

16 week program. what compounds are we running for aas

16 week program. what compounds are we running for aas
Nothing for as long as possible. I literally just stopped after 8 weeks last week. At the end of the first 8 weeks I'll reassess. If I do a new cycle it'll be as long after as poss. Then probably just 50mg of Anavar a day

I need to try this approach sometime after running a cycle and keeping it simple and maybe try and add on with trt ro maintain my edge and help combating strength loss etc, var is on my list to try one day
The issue is thus (and why so many end up cruising etc): we cycle strength (or muscle) without PEDs then add them in. We get a LOT stronger etc etc hitting new bests. We come off and OBVIOUSLY do not hold quite as much muscle etc. That can be a head fuck for many. So you can deliberately cycle back strength and or change up the routine. I still (as per my tips thread) reset the weights (see the bench program as written) and do what I can to maintain SOME of my muscle gains.

I've set myself some targets. One, for example, is to try and do 600kg (1320lbs) for at least 4 reps on the Power Squat Machine. On other lifts it's to match old PB's (120kg for reps on the seated press etc)

Monday
Had a big Power Squat Machine number in my head so...
Power Squat Machine
205kg x 8, 405kg x 6, 605kg x 4

Leg Press

Lying Leg Curls
hams felt it again
4p x 8, 6p x 8

Leg Extensions
1/2 stack x 8, stack +18.75kg x 4

Bwt: 332lbs
