Need advice for newb Test E cycle

44 yr old, been lifting 5-6 days a week for the past year. Pretty high volume. I'm genetically really thin, so it has been really hard for me to gain muscle mass. Nevertheless, I've improved a lot with no supps other than creatine. 6'1" current weight is 175 and about 15-18% bodyfat.

My test levels are nornal for my age, I was at 600 a few months ago... I want to try Test E alone, for 6-8 weeks, but I need to know exactly what to do as far as PCT goes or what to watch out for. Can someone break this down for me?

Most of the old guys I know who run a cycle never get their levels back up afterwards and have to go to trt. Are you aware that's a risk?
 
I'd have to agree with Genixcon. I don't know it to be 100% fact but I've heard that the older you are the harder it is to recover.

600 at age 44 is pretty good. I know a lot of guys who had lower levels in their late 30s. When I was prescribed TRT at 40 mine was around 500.

If you are pretty happy with where you are and how you feel, I'd say keep hitting it hard and hold off on AAS.

If you really want to try a cycle, just be prepared for the possibility of TRT if you can't get back to decent levels naturally. You should also get your body fat a little lower first to lessen side effects and get the most from your cycle.
 
Is there something else I should try then, I was thinking about a sarm like osterine. Would that affect my natural T production?

if you just started lifting a year ago at your age then that is years and years of lifting you missed out on. the body has muscle memory.

now if you lifted off and on over the years that is different.

also genetics play a role. i would recommend you drop your body fat first before steroids regardless. sarms are a great option, dylan laid out a plan above. esarms has great sarms and you can use dylans 20% off code
 
... then again, what's stronger in your mind? Stay natural or enhance yourself. I must say, its better to stay the same, nit messing with AAS and your endocrine system. It is absolutly possible to build phenomenal physique naturally. Yes, it requires a LOT from you, training, overloading, diet, suplementing, rest, .... I am to hit 47 soon, and for 25 years of weight lifting I was natural. I took my natural physique as far as I can. Then at 45 decided to take a blue pill and to see how deep is the rabbit hole.

All these guy above are giving you good advice, dont do it. BUT, hey, lets be honest, at some pont they started too.

So if you decide to go for it, state that, that you made up your mind and will embrace the good and the bad. And we will help you!

LGD 6 - 10mg every 36 hrs, or Ostarine 12.5mg daily for 8-12 weeks. You're still going to suppress your natural T level about 30-60% so be careful with what the guys said about AAS because sarms use the same mechanism of action.

After you run a small cycle like that you could jump into that triple-stack Dylan suggested.

I gained 10lbs in 8 weeks on 6mgs LGD every 24/36 hrs (half-life is closer to 36hrs so I would occasionally boost the dosage by dosing after 24hrs) kept the gains it afterward too with ease...

One final note SARMs don't aromatize into estrogen so get some bloods see where youre at either mid-cycle or end preferably both your estro and test will drop slightly. I didnt PCT after Osta and LGD cycles and I felt fine my estro/test recovered in less than 3 weeks.

**Ostarine 12.5mg** haha FYI didnt mean to be too specific but thats just what I had capped 3 cycles, anywhere from 10-20mgs daily would do ... just my 2 cents
 
Thanks for all the helpful advice! I find it funny that a forum full of people on steroids are suggesting a newcomer don't do steroids LOL. I totally see what you're saying though.

I've just been frustrated because:

1. have definitely plateaued the past 6 mos. where it is really slow for me to move up in weight, and I have changed my routine up. I do a ton of volume and I have 2 personal trainers I use.

2. I feel like I work harder than everyone else at my gym, and I am definitely the skinniest out of all the bodybuilder guys there.

Also I may have overstated my bf% earlier, it is probably 15% last time I measured it 3 mos ago it was 13, and I just ate a lot of sugary shit over the holidays. Tops and sides of my abs show, I just have a little fat over lower abs.

So another thing I was wondering was what if I did a shorter cycle of Test E, just to see how my levels come back, like maybe do it for a month? Would that better my chances at not messing up my levels permanently?

Ostarine was the SARM I was thinking about trying...

Plateaus are normal.
 
well we run PED's to break plateaus so i say go for it. if you want to go sarms route you will get mild benefits with low risk. if you want to go the steroid route then go for it, just keep your cycles short and you will have an easier time recovering.

I would use LGD myself but Osta also good, they are very similar LGD is more anabolic mg for mg, anyway get bloodwork before you start and after as a minimum so you know whats up....just my 2 cents again
