Questions about PCT after a Test P Only Cycle

Hey guys, this is going to be short and straight to the point, I'm going to be running 200mg of Testosterone Cypionate weekly with injections every 3 and 4 days on Monday and Thursdays. I want to do this cycle for 12 weeks and I have been doing research on PCT for it, some people say you don't need to do PCT, others say you need to do crazy amounts of different pills and stuff, just wondering what's your guys thoughts on it and whether you did a similar cycle and what did you use for your PCT and how long.


If my age is a factor in what to use, I'm 22.

I'd inquire first on what your goal is for the cycle brother, what your current body composition looks like, and how your training and nutrition look. 12 weeks is NOT a long time to be running a cycle so if you want to get the most out of it you need all of these to be absolutely dialed in.

Alongside of this - do you plan on running cycles again in the future? Why only 12 weeks?

May be WAY better ways to do this sir!

Thanks for the reply mate, the cycle is to bulk up and add more muscle. I was thinking 12 weeks just to see how I react to it but I'm sure there would be better ways to see how I react to it by the sounds of it. I'm currently 6"1 85kg with about 15-16% bodyfat off my eye, I train 5-6 times per week and my nutrition isn't absolutely dialled in, I do get lazy with it and cop out to some fast food every now and then

I do plan on running more cycles if all goes well, I want to reduce side effects as much as possible for a first time cycle which is why I thought 12 weeks at 200mg was a good sweet spot, however I am happily open to different suggestions on how to run it.

welcome to the EVO family :D @impala67 We really don’t know enough about you to give cycle or PCT advice yet, age alone isn’t enough and guessing helps nobody. Start a proper pre cycle log with your training history, bodyweight, lifts, diet, bloodwork, and goals so the EVO family can actually guide you before you even pin anything. 15min of your time to change your life :D

Why is a Log Journal important?

  • Doing a log will actually help you way more than just dropping random updates. When you lay it all out week by week you start to see patterns in your body that you won’t catch otherwise.
  • Other guys here run logs all the time and there’s no privacy issue, nobody is asking for your name or anything personal, it is just training, diet, and how the compound feels.
  • The feedback you get is also way better because people can follow along and spot things you might miss. It also helps the next guy who is thinking about running the same compound so you are giving back while you learn.
  • Even if you think you might not stick with it, just starting the log makes it easier to come back and add quick notes. That way you get more out of what you are running instead of keeping it all in your head.

To really guide you we need more info from you:
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight,height,age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.
  • Please post a Log Journal asap for us

95% of people out there don't even understand what PCT is. The objective of PCT is to help give you a soft recovery. And also the objective, if you do a proper PCT, is not to delay recovery. That is a huge mistake that people do.

Bros should be aware of the dangers of using steroids at 22. Keep your cycle short and keep PCT 6-8 weeks.

I think a 6-8 week cycle would be very good for PCT. Make sure you have Nolvadex on hand.

Yeah that's why I was thinking 12 weeks for first time, don't want to overdo it an have something go wrong straight away.

I'm not sure if i'm really interested in starting and keeping up a log, just trying to see what you guys think about PCT because it's a bit of a grey area from what I've seen.

1. Too young to be on cycle. No cycle = no PCT
2. 200mg is a TRT dose

I'm not on here for a recommendation whether I'm at the right age to do it, just wanting to make sure I've got a good understanding of PCT and what I would actually need to worry about.

Just be aware that at 22 years old, you run the risk of permanently causing dysfunction of your HPTA and your reproductive system. As long as you're aware of that and you want to go through with it, then go for it.

clomid/nolvadex + a strong T booster like hcgenerate (ebay or n2bm)

You need to get blood work done before the cycle. The idea behind doing a cycle, PCT, and then recovery phase is getting back to your baseline. But if you don't know what your baseline is, you'll be shooting darts in the dark.

nolvadex is the #1 used serm for pct of all time
