Rest in Peace Pa O'dwyer

The bodybuilding community has lost a true legend.
@BigCheese2000 notified me straight away since we both follow and share his content with eachother.

Pa O’Dwyer has tragically passed away at just 40 years of age. What makes it even harder to process is that only 22 hours prior, he shared a photo playing Lego with his kids — a powerful reminder of how fragile life really is.
I shared Pa’s content on my Instagram almost daily. He was a genuine voice for those who didn’t have one. Pa never hesitated to stand up to internet bullies who tried to tear down our bodybuilding brothers and sisters for simply sharing their progress and achievements. Jealous keyboard warriors thrived on negativity, but Pa didn’t tolerate it — he called them out openly and unapologetically.
At the same time, he consistently shared positive, wholesome content: kids getting active, women hitting PRs, and everyday people bettering themselves. He truly embodied what this community should stand for — support, accountability, and respect.
Rest in peace, brother. My deepest condolences to the entire O’Dwyer family during this incredibly tragic time. You will not be forgotten.

Damn man, I am really grateful that he was the type of person to stand up to bullies. I don't know this guy but it sounds like he was a good dude. Hopefully he did not suffer.

We're seeing a lot of guys about his age dropping dead. I don't think people realize the bodybuilding lifestyle does shorten your life.

Arguably strongmanism too.

Being well over 300lbs then reducing you're weight a LOT (he's been super lean recently) PLUS PEDs etc#.

He has had a cancer scare in previous years

Wow he died super young, 40 years old is nothing. It's too bad because he seemed like a dude that was a cool guy

Hey fellas,

As far as we can see it was a heart attack.
He was in a very big weight cut currently so would say that along with maybe some other things habe contributed.
One of our Irish brothers here has said that he lived out in the country a bit and wasnt very close to a hospital.
I dont know if that would have helped him but could have possibly made a slight chance of survival.
We are all speculating at the moment & regardless we lost an Iron Brother.
His following on instagram was huge and gaining momentum each and every day for calling out bullies or internet bullies commenting on Gym bros/girls like us posting our achievements.
He truly was a great guy (yes i didnt know him at all) but seeing his posts everyday on Instagram made my wife and I have a chuckle everyday.

If you can do that kind of impact to people you dont even know! Then thats a pretty special person to lose

@Mobster is correct about the aggressive weight cut.. here is before and after.
His videos he is always quite full and large so the cut must have been pretty quick and aggressive ..

143kg down to 103kg.
40kg cut!
