TRT independently

V.I.P.
EVO Logger
I’m about to start my own independent TRT journey. I’ve been researching and contacting clinics for 2 months and I have now realized what a ripoff it is financially and I’m not willing to pay for it. I’m 35 and have lifted weights intensely since my early 20’s. I feel like I’ve gotten the most out of my body naturally and want to take the next step. I’m not looking to get massive or become a bodybuilder. I just want to elevate in certain areas in my life physically and mentally. I’m not interested in even going over 300mg/week of test. I’m interested in doing daily dosing. How often would you recommend getting bloodwork done? Are there any other supplements you would run to mitigate any side effects such as Nattokinase or any other supportive supps? Any advice and suggestions are really appreciated. Also how often would you check BP?

welcome to the EVO family :D @Knapp10991 thanks for the share!
If you’re going self TRT, bloodwork and a TRT log are mandatory or you’re just guessing, so get baseline labs first then recheck around week 6after starting and then every 2 months once stable.
Check BP at home a few times/week at the same time of day, and run basic support like omega 3, magnesium, and fiber, but the biggest supplement is a clean log with daily food, sleep, training, and weekly bodyweight so the EVO family can actually dial your TRT properly. I know sounds odd but its a true guide to have a log without it it's a big TRT fail. 15min to start it up :D

HOW-TO LOG?

Why is a Log Journal important?

  • Doing a log will actually help you way more than just dropping random updates. When you lay it all out week by week you start to see patterns in your body that you won’t catch otherwise.
  • Other guys here run logs all the time and there’s no privacy issue, nobody is asking for your name or anything personal, it is just training, diet, and how the compound feels.
  • The feedback you get is also way better because people can follow along and spot things you might miss. It also helps the next guy who is thinking about running the same compound so you are giving back while you learn.
  • Even if you think you might not stick with it, just starting the log makes it easier to come back and add quick notes. That way you get more out of what you are running instead of keeping it all in your head.

To really guide you we need more info from you:
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight, height, age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.
  • Please post a Log Journal asap for us

Daily has yet to be proven as more effective.

What you're discussing is called self-TRT, and a lot of people are doing it. As long as you are doing your blood work and making sure you're dosing correctly, then you could certainly do it that way.

Once you figure out your TRT dosage, you don't have to get blood work done very often, maybe two or three times a year.

Bros, lotsa dudes doing this. It's definitely a good option. Only time I would say do regular TRT is if you have good insurance and it covers it so you get it for free.

You get blood work done to see how your body reacts to the hormones and how it balances estrogen. Once you get a read on how your body is, you don't have to get blood work that often after that.

not interested in even going over 300mg/week of test
Plenty! Very manageable and effective
I’m interested in doing daily dosing
You can do that. You’ll get tired of it eventually and that’s fine. Do it until you don’t want to anymore. The vehement and strident cries for stable blood levels are overblown. Your natural levels are far from stable but if you’re healthy it’s juuuuust fine. Of it makes you feel good, do it! I have. The routine of it is sort of helpful
How often would you recommend getting bloodwork done?
@LevButlerov is your guru. I would increase the frequency with the dose. When you’re cruising on a somewhat natural level of trt, quarterly seems safe. But get the most bloodwork you reasonably can before you start, and get it when you’re in good shape, unstressed, well slept, not recently ill, well hydrated, etc. you’re not trying to fool anyone especially yourself. That’s the beauty of self trt.
Are there any other supplements you would run to mitigate
You can just eat natto. It’s hard to trust supplements. I was taking $100s of dollars/month of supplements with no particular effect. N2guard improved my bloodwork by a lot
Also how often would you check BP?
Daily at first. Be mindful of the device you use, they can be unreliable. A certain YouTuber encourages wrist bp cuffs. Absolutely trash. Next time you see your doctor bring your cuff and compare. Check both arms, they will read different. BP is the most critical thing to watch. You will regret ignoring it sorely. And 300mg/wk could be plenty to elevate your bp.

You seem like you’ve got it together. I think this could go really well for you and you’re super fortunate to have came here before you got started!

Welcome!

Welcome to EVO brother and to the world of "self TRT".

You're going to feel better and your body will thank you.

Bloodwork and a log will be crucial for this journey and you've found the best place to inquire about this. Bloodwork before and then a few times in the first few months will get your TRT dose right in check where you feel you need it. We will guide you through this every step of the way just follow @LevButlerov's how-to guide and let's get you started! There will be other blood markers for us to keep in check for you as well on TRT and we will help you with that too.
