With my new work schedule I sometimes run into a decision that I have to make

I have to choose to eat a meal late at night(not the problem) to get my cals in for the day, or go to sleep at my regular time to get my 8 hours of sleep-- I have been choosing to eat and then miss some sleep, but what do you guys think is more important--I am bulking btw

So what is your thought

Miss 8hrs of sleep but get your cals

Get 8hrs of sleep but miss some cals

so your saying your in a situation where its impossible to get your calories in during the day... i dont know how thats even possible

Surely you can still get all your food in during the 16 hours you are awake?

Also, some people don't need 8 hours of sleep...

Seems like maybe you need to start meal prepping and toting the food with you

Sleep to me is the most important thing you can get when training on gear.

As others have said try to add a couple hundred calories to your other meals. Carry around protein bars or meal prep, etc.

Its easy to get calories its not easy to make up for lost sleep.

your logic is bullshit

sleep = recovery PERIOD. i keep hammering this home on these forums but guys don't want to listen

sleep comes way way way before food. so does proper hydration. you can live months without food. no water will kill ya in days. and no sleep will kill ya in about a week. for an athlete even 1 bad night of sleep is devastating. that is why you see pro athletes who have back to back games struggle in the 2nd game and why NFL players are lobbying to get rid of these stupid thursday night games.

Yeh as others said, I think a better meal Prep plan to work around Ur shedule... Just comes down to how focused and how much u want it.

Sleep is important, but not as important as food.

Arnold swarznegger used to say 6 hours is all you need. Iv seen the video.
Copied and pasted below

I looked at Arnold Schwarzenegger, an extremely successful man in a number of categories. He said in his 2009 Commencement Address at University of California that he sleeps 6 hours a night: “There are 24 hours in a day. You sleep six hours and have 18 hours left. ... Well then, just sleep faster,
