The meat was lean pork loin. I did get electrolytes and the have helped immediately with the lethargy. Unfortunately I didn’t see the reply from Eddie Haskell about making my own until after I had purchased these from GNC so when I am done with this container I will begin mixing my own
 
Start of day 1 4th 48 hour rolling fast 229.0 pounds!!!!! I was always an overweight kid and worked my ass off in my early 20’s to get in shape I weighed 218 on the postal scale in FOB Salerno with my Kevlar and plate carrier on and was in the best shape of my life then that was in 2004. I weighed more than I do right now when I was in high school. I could fuckin cry right now I’m so happy. Thanks to all of you for the love and support.

@ElDurko lean pork is good but try to do beef if you have the budget, you're looking for fatty meat not lean meat for carnivore, to keep you in ketosis
and its ok to buy premade for now, you can mix your own as time goes on

@ElDurko 229 lbs is amazing we are dropping down but remember during fasting you lose water you can gain back
so it might fluctuate 2-6lbs but thats water/glycogen stores not bodyfat
so you're doing well, congratulations :) EVO family supports you
 
I think it was just torn Baham string and quad, that was las May so it’s healed. I was hiking in ymthe mountains of big bend National park 7 months later with my brothers albeit a little slower than they were I just don’t know how good jumping rope will be for my knees as I have injured both and other than the orthos opix surgery I had to have on the right knee, I just winged the recovery of the other one. This is the info from one of the hikes so even at 320+ I’ve always been an active guy most ivmf
My hobbies involve the outdoors.

I have a range in my back yard so I’ve been using my cardio sessions to assist in other forms or training. I walk/jog 15 min from my house then 15 min back, run an elevated hart rate drill
With my ccw then do it again for a total
Of an hour of cardio.

I stopped taking the clean when you said it really wasn’t useful for what I was trying to achieve. That was given to me by a coworker who uses PED’s but I’m pretty sure he is using the “bro science” method. When I talked to another coworker who also cycles, he suggested I go here. I don’t think he logs but just uses the site for info but he has had some serious gains lately.

No cardio today as it was raining it’s ass off. Bought some electrolytes from gnc unfortunately before I saw Eddie’s reply and they definitely helped. Will mix my own when those are gone.
Training-
30 min stretching routine
3 sets 20 overhead dumbbell press
3 sets 15 front dumbbell raises
3 sets 15 side shoulder fly using exercise bands as I have some shoulder injuries
3 sets 20 kettle bell trap pulls?
3 sets plank held first one for 70 seconds that’s a new record for me last two were 60 and 55 sec
3sets 25 crunches

That was the last pack of pork I had in my freezer so I was just trying to get rid of it. My normal is ribeye or sirloin

Yes, one serving when I woke up and one when I got home from work before I workout. Been taking them daily since Eddie Haskell explained that it was the reason I was so lethargic during my fasts. Still going strong on the 48 hour fasts. Ribeyes for dinner tonight.

Got my hour of cardio in. Got home later than normal, threw the little monster in the wagon, set a timer for 30 min and took off. My headlamp died agter about 10 min but luckily I always carry a flashlight as part of my EDC. Got to the 30. In mark and stopped to check on the kiddo and head back to the house. He lost his shit and refuses to ride in the waggon so I made the return walk with a 30lb 2yr old on my shoulders while pulling the wagon. Somehow managed to keep almost the same pace on the return. Was smoked by the time I got home so I did a shortened stretching routine.
3 sets planks held for 70 seconds each.
3 sets straight bar curls
3 sets reverse dumbbell curls
3’sets close grip kettle bell curls.

That’s all I had in me today.

I can fry jumping rope but my knees are not in good shape. Tore my MCL, LCL, meniscus and partial patella tear in my right knee about 12 years ago. Didn’t have insurance so had that repaired at the gubment hospital. Last summer I injured my left leg and again, did t have insurance so I just wrapped the shit out of it and went back to work. I think I only tore my hamstring and quad because I could. Still walk but im not sure how much damage was done to my knee. It looked like this for about two weeks

Not a ton, and still only one meal a day but it still didn’t count as a fast day. I’ve had slips doing carnivore over the past six months. It happens, the main thing is, get right back at it. Don’t let one slip start a snowball effect of mistakes so I’m back on the 48 hour fasting day 1 5th fast starting weight 236

@ElDurko you can refeed now, 1 more soup and have your steak, not too fatty, if you have sirloin have that steak, if not have the steak you have access to bro

now go back to rolling OMAD 24 hour fasts for 3 days before we move into the next phase

think 72 hour fast
followed by 4 OMAD days

but we need to plan a refeed after as well
 
Honestly man, at this point I’m so full from that soup I couldn’t eat a steak if I wanted to. So tomorrow I’ll plan on steak for dinner as usual, water coffee and electrolytes during the day for three days. Then I’ll start another 72 hr fast and end of day two/ during day three you can help me with the Propper refeed info. I bought several cans of that soup to have on hand while I was at the store. Also found a co-worker looking to get rid of some gym equipment so I’m. Gonna be updating the home gym quite a bit in the next week or so.
 
The beef that I buy is all grass fed and I try to get a mix of ribeye and sirloin so I’m not always eating the fatty ribeyes, plus sirloin is a bit cheaper. May also be going in halves with one of my brothers on half of a local grass fed and it’s hunting season so should be adding wild ducks and venison to the menu soon.

Broke fast with one can of progreso black bean veggie soup yesterday (this soup was 90/100 on Yuka app)
Starting weight this morning 228.0
Had another soup around 1 when I got home from work and 12 oz of lean sirloin for supper. Electrolytes twice today.
Feeling pretty good right now.
On to OMAD for three days and then another 72hr fast.

Is it ok to add some half and half to my coffee during my fast days? Obviously no sugar.

@ElDurko 3 days OMAD Is correct. Stay this path with a rolling 72.

BUt half and half don't drink it, stay fully fasted. Any food will be taking you out of athophagy.
 
10-4. Going to be on OMAD, sirloin or ribeye in the evening. Planning on starting my next 72 hr fast after supper on Wednesday this week. Going to refresh on Sunday afternoon and go from there.

Bought several cans of that good soup to have on hand. Won’t start 72 hour fast till Wednesday after dinner. Have a sirloin thawed out for tonight but will be sure to eat a ribeye for the pre fast meal. Almost done with my workout for the evening. I miss having shoulders that don’t hurt.

Did 3 sets alternating planks and knee pushups.

3 sets dumbbell flys with 5 lb dumbells.
That’s pathetic, my shoulders are shot.

Thanks man, I have some known injuries but I’m hoping that the clean eating will fix some of the inflammation and as I strengthen them, they will repair some. Low weight high reps for now. As long as I’m staying th course and making progress it’s a win right?

Yes, I have added planks to all of my workouts and have gone from 3 sets at struggling to hold for 30 seconds to 3 sets at 90 seconds plus now. Pushing them longer every day if I can. I find that my lower back is what starts to fatigue first.

Today is my last OMAD before my second 72hr fast. Starting weight. 227.6
So I’m starting this second 72hr fast after my meal this evening. I have a ribeye thawed but I feel like my body is craving carbs. Would it be detrimental to have some steamed broccoli with my steak?

I was counting the broccoli as “carbs” becsuee im basically exclusively carnivore. So tonight will be steak and some steamed broccoli and after this meal it’s a 72hr fast. I’ll do my best to keep you better updated and have this dialed in as possible. Gonna have some electrolytes before bed and again in the morning.

@ElDurko broccoli is not carbs but on carnivore better do all meat
but if you want it once in a while add it, lets not overpush

Man, I can’t thank you enough for your prompt responses. I’m totally game to do the rolling fasting as a 48 hour fast isn’t a problem for me. The morning walking may be an issue I have to get my son to daycare by 630 so that puts me waking up at 430 am just to get us both ready and out the door on time. Usually try to get in bed by 830 at the latest. Haven’t taken any electrolytes so what do you recommend?

Initially with the help and direction of NPCChamp and Eddie Haskell and a few others I moved up to 48 hour fasts and am now on day one of my second 72 hour fast. Finding out that lack of electrolytes was the reason I was so tired all the time during my fasts was a game changer. You can certainly do 48 or 72 hours if you put your mind to it. All I’ve had so far today is water, black coffee and electrolytes.

I’m using electrolyte powder that I bought at gnc but if you scroll back in my log, one of the guys posted the amount of potassium, magnesium, and salt that is needed and when I’m done with this GNC stuff I’m gonna buy the powders and make my own so I can avoid all the extra nonsense in the store bought stuff.

elecrolytes are a must, you're doing it right but get your own powders

Salt, lemon concentrate, and i use magnesium tabs 2 x daily. Same idea

Maybe try some Valarien tea before bed or you can get the tablets as well 2 x 30mins before bed.
 
valerian and melatonin is a good pre bed
I got that from you and it works well. But don't forget to shit off the tvs, radios and cell phones minimum 2hrs before bed.

Also add a red light to your bedside table this does work to set the sleep mood, not sure how but it does.

Day 3 72hr fast, weight in the scale this morning 224 even.
Got a bit of a workout in yesterday evening and am happy to have fresh venison to add to the freezer. Was quite an ordeal dragging that thing out of the swamp and getting it skinned and broken down into quarters.
I’ll finish processing and packaging it for the freezer this evening after work.

Day 3 72hr fast, weight in the scale this morning 224 even.
Got a bit of a workout in yesterday evening and am happy to have fresh venison to add to the freezer. Was quite an ordeal dragging that thing out of the swamp and getting it skinned and broken down into quarters.
I’ll finish processing and packaging it for the freezer this evening after work.
Good work, i just got venison also couple days ago.
It will be all cut up and lots of ground as well. I love me some venison cabbage rolls!
 
I’ll try all of these and see if they help. I struggle with some PTSD and TBI from my younger days probably CTE as well. I think that’s most of my sleep issue. Melatonin works to a degree and I’ve heard of valerian root. Ill
Have to pick some up.
@ElDurko valerian root pre bed around 1 hour and 3 min along with melatonin both are perfect.
PTSD happens to many of us, you have to push thru that hardship and move forward. A ton of guys in the EVO family have had mental issues we are working thru, including myself.
 
Yeah man, I break eveything down into cuts and grind all the trimmings with some bacon mixed in. The ground meat is good for all kinds of stuff. Now I want cabbage rolls!

remember the weight is not static, due to electrolytes you're not losing all water, so will fluctuate up and down during and post fast +/- 5lbs but thats not bodyfat thats all water

and venison you hunt?
