Veteran Log First Testosterone Cycle at 47 Log

Yes I had high hematocrit and hemoglobin. Probably for a long time. It didn’t take much for me to get out of range unfortunately
Whether giving blood actually made me feel better, or the relief that I had done something positive for my health place led me, I can’t be sure. But the feeling lasted a while. I definitely had more energy
 
I normally have steak medium-rare.
Should be rare if you can do it :D
Yeah chocolate milk. Not sure how long it's been since I drank that. They have a pretty big supply of free snacks to choose from afterwards.

One thing I haven't been including is my weight. I'll start doing that from now on.

From my records I have the following for recently:

3 Sept - 97.0kg
4 Sept - 96.7kg
8 Sept - 96.8kg
9 Sept - 96.6kg
11 Sept - 96.5kg
13 Sept - 97.0kg

Pretty steady so that's what I'm hoping for.

We just found out on Canada our government blood service has been selling donated plasma to a for profit company that has been selling it's products international. Our state funded media actually uncovered it.

Hmmm good question.

Before I started TRT I had cut my calories back a bit hoping to lean up a bit.

I guess my issue is that to start looking decent I need to lose fat and gain muscle.

I'm not sure what the best approach is. If left to me, I was probably going to eat an amount that kept my weight steady hoping to lose some fat and gain some muscle. I guess this may not be ideal.

I think I need to at least get to a point where my abs are showing (in terms of a level of leanness) before I consider a proper growth cycle.

Am open to suggestions on the best course of action.

Yeah I'm fairly settled now with the new macros and 300g protein.
Just came across your log @waggat and will be following. Great work on getting the macros dialed in! If you check my log (attached to my message - link below) I run protein at 600-700g with fat about half that and carbs under 50g. Keeps me lean and dry even at 205lbs all year round. Everyone's metabolism is different though. Love seeing the protein at 300+ with anyone who's done or doing the Dorian Yates program (or Mike Mentzer style).

Hey mate, thanks for stopping by. 600-700g protein definitely means you earnt the protein king title!

I've never actually tried lower than about 100g carbs per day (from memory - that might have been 20 years ago).

Great volume and I like the cardio at the end. Flush out that lactic acid. Keep us posted daily.

Yeah the volume is a bit different coming from 6 months + of DY style but it's what I was doing previously so all good.

The push day in particular will take a bit of getting used to (compared to a 4 way split) with shoulders after chest for example. Feels good having a pump in chest, shoulders and triceps though!
 
Going to give blood this morning. My trt doc suggested it. He said there was a slight increase in (I can't remember what exactly but) something to do with red blood cells. Here is a comparison.

Doesn't seem like a very significant change and can there be natural variation? Anyway, I usually have high ferritin so regular blood donation helps that.
@waggat yeah that’s very common in people that use steroids. It’s always good to give blood. I gave it once every quarter.

Food yesterday.

I forgot to log my workout and post workout shakes again so my numbers are off. Put a lot of effort into getting the macros right for dinner then remembered the shakes later.

Felt good even though I didn't have the best sleep.

Added an extra set to the first exercise due to needing more weight. Was able to get out good reps on the db bench press (usually when I do this second I'm fatigued).

Had one of the best tricep pumps I recall at the end.

Strong push day, hitting the incline press heavy first gave you more out of the dumbbell bench after, reps looked solid all the way through. Laterals with both dumbbells and cables gave your shoulders a full pump, good mix of angles. Triceps clearly blew up with the rope pushdowns and PJR pullovers to finish, no wonder that pump stood out. Cardio and stretching wrapped it up clean.

I like the HS incline as well because for the first few sets I can go one side at a time and put my non working hand on the pev and feel it contract.

Yeah with the two lateral raises I decided to do shoulder press on every second push day only so I wasn't getting too much pressing volume.

You're really going to next level but careful with presses overhead with injuries :D

Strong pull day, the tbar rows were a good call and you can see why your lats lit up with those numbers. Volume across rows, pulldowns, and curls is high so running 6 days will test recovery, but you’re still handling good weights and clean rep ranges. If it starts to feel too much, cutting one pull movement or shifting to 5 days will keep strength climbing without beating up your joints. @waggat :D

It's for possible bicep tendon inflammation and maybe very minor tennis elbow. It's not really bad... Doesn't really stop me from doing anything but I've had it for a while.

Was thinking of subq injection near the elbow like this:

The 5mg of BPC gives me 250mcg per day for 20 days.

The 2mg TB only gives me 1 week at 1mg twice/week.

So should I get another 2 x TB?

That way can run the above for 3 weeks.
 
These were just crappy frozen ones unfortunately. I think they import them from Asia. We do have good fresh prawns here in Australia though.

For bpc-157 most guys run around 250 to 500mcg daily split into 2 shots, subq close to the site is fine. Tb500 is usually 2 to 2.5mg twice per week, not daily, it works more systemic. Combo of both tends to calm tendon and soft tissue issues pretty quick if you’re consistent a few weeks. Since your pain is mild you don’t need to overdo it, just steady dosing and give it time. @waggat

Hey I was just going through checking out your log. Looks good. I just got done with my first cycle after starting trt. You have a solid base a little better than mine was when i started. There’s some good advice to be had from the guys on here. I think what helped me the most was eating lots of protein. clean foods lots of intense cardio . some days my heart beat would be over 140 and usally between 150-160 for close to 25 minutes. The fat melts off i would warm up for 10 minutes on the treadmill usally sometimes the elliptical and stair stepper then crush it for 25-30 minutes especially the first 9 weeks the last couple weeks it’s been closer to 15-20 minutes of max intensity. I did the cardio like that three days a week i’m going to keep up with ya and see how you progress good luck

Too true what you're saying. I always felt hard done by due to poor genetics but definitely could have been doing more, ie wasn't tracking cals and wasn't doing any cardio.

Having decent test levels helps of course. I felt I hadn't made gains in years and then after 2-3 weeks on TRT was actually increasing lifts session to session.

Waggat is a super aromatizer and his e2 was insanely high off mild TRT doses. Versus Milbous does whatever he wants and his e2 barely even moves, stays pinned right in the middle of the range. Me I'm right in the middle of you guys where my e2 seems to rise pretty proportionally with my test dose.

Crazy how different we are all inside eh? This is just all trial and error for everyone cuz no one solution universally works the same with all of us.

Waggat is a super aromatizer and his e2 was insanely high off mild TRT doses. Versus Milbous does whatever he wants and his e2 barely even moves, stays pinned right in the middle of the range. Me I'm right in the middle of you guys where my e2 seems to rise pretty proportionally with my test dose.

Crazy how different we are all inside eh? This is just all trial and error for everyone cuz no one solution universally works the same with all of us.
That is crazy how different we all are. I started the tamoxifen right after i gave blood for my first test after i started my cycle because my right nip was on fire and my chest where it meets in my arm pit. and my e2 was 15 with that test. makes no sense. prolactin was a little on the higher end of the middle of the range but well inside range. i quit taking it because of sides it was some old stuff i got from a site that sells arms years ago. I tried ostarine wasn’t really impressed. i ordered tamoxifen domestic shipping with ug freak and by the time it got here spicy nip and stuff was back took it and everything was gravy until recently with dry squeaky feeling joints. Got some npp 100 going to do 15 every other day should put me at 52.5 mg a week with my trt dose see if that helps with joints and tendons. also keep up with my supplements.

Maybe try upping your fish oil and collagen peptides too.

I ran NPP on my cycle and didn't really notice the joint benefits people talk about. It's another one of those things that's big for some and nothing for others. Unfortunately for my beat to shit joints I'm in the no results camp lol. But it was amazing for everything else.

Yeah with the little I knew until recently, I always thought anyone on a cycle dose would have to use ai and most on trt needed it.
