I did a quasi carnivore diet for my 16-week blast but with that you have to make sure your supps are in check, especially Vitamin C. It works like magic for me.
Yeah bro I agree, what are your thoughts on the vitamin c thing? I haven't quite collected my thoughts on all this because I've done both ends of extreme diets (not thar carnivore is extreme like veganism but you know what I mean) and o think we are opportunities omnivores which is great for survival I guess but since agriculture and especially since factory farming and food companies exploiting war rashion rules to push cardboard we have trained outselves to adapt to this fucked up diet.
Theres soo much salt in processed food that salt itself has become a yardstick to measure how bad food. When you start on meat only and have removed the salt you were getting from the factory your body screams out for it. I figured out "salt to taste" is not just a random phrase it means add salt till you don't want to anymore because it's like thirst, but for salt.. it's how your body gets the amount of salt it needs.
And with carbs they're sticking the shit in us on day 3 when we should be sucking on tits still. You know well I'm sure just how much our bodies can adapt to poor decisions and input. We can limp on for years suboptimal states and in veganism they celebrate the body breaking down in a repackaged form to make it look like the goal.
One group of lunatics I stumbled across on YouTube had all the girls losing their periods by month three and that was awesome, you're on the path. These were girls and they also guilt trapped their cuck boyfriends into getting castrated to show dedication to global population reducing. Woman often want to loose weight and that comes quick for vegans and so it kinda looks like its working, and you can get these anorexic instagram shots and get more girls to join.
I think over our whole childhoods and adolescence and on we put all this shit in our bodies constantly over decades and decades and then our body adjusts as it does and then in science we use that as the baseline for "normal" when it's clearly fucking not.
And one of those things is we need huge amounts of Vitimin C compared to what's available and see in other animals but this never became a problem for carnivores. I'm sure you yourself have heard some say you're going to get survey from just eating meat? I had tons of times, I dunno where the logic even comes from. So when you're finely tuned to meat, over a year of meat only at thr very least your body gets all vitamin c it needs from meat even though by modern standards it looks like there's not enough. The Masai of Africa even got their water from it and only drank milk from the cows they carted around with them.
You know some 22 year olds in New Zealand atcually got scurvy? It made international medical journals as it's ultra rare. They were broke students and only ate chips from the fish and chip shop and it took 8 months to develop. Only one of three got it and that was because he didn't like tomato sauce and the other two were getting their vitamin c from there
That's why I disagree with Vince Gironda about carb cycling and think it's not the way for regular diet but atcually stops you breaking through by having your body fully restored to its natural state as a well oiled machine with the right oil. But we wouldn't be able to get swole eating like that and probably some other downsides for lifters too.
I mean we use drugs because they work and I just lump carbs in with drugs in my mind and am trying to use them stratergicly and manage tolerance and withdrawal just like I have to with other drugs. Living in harmony with nature and animals and being self sufficient can wait until chicks stop replying to me on Tinder
