Approved Log 2025-2026 Cycle Journal - with Team Gold Standard Labs

So not the update i was hoping for tonight but not hiding here,

On Tuesday morning I woke up ready for work and had a slight pain in my shoulder, just thought i slept funny, then on Wednesday the pain got a little more worse and then on Thursday morning at 2.30am I was up and I decided to book a doctors appointment,

Had to go for an xray and ultrasound on the shoulder, and just got the update just before, they reckon could be Gout or calcific tendinopathy (also known as calcific tendonitis) of the shoulder,

So on the 21st of this month im booked in for a cortisone injection to help with it, not much to do besides rest and up the anti inflammatories and wait for the cortisone injection,

It just fucking came out of nowhere

sorry about this, not good news @codezz are you able to do lower body?

My suggestion is to fix inflammation and tissue repair first with TB500 5 mg/week split doses and BPC157 500mcg ED near the shoulder, and if gout is suspected get uric acid checked and clean up diet before guessing. That's why sharing food in log is important, maybe you had organ meats etc but now we don't know, I'm just guessing here.

If it is gout brother there is some pretty effective drugs that can clear it up pretty quick, hopefully you recover quickly and get back into it

Had a good nights sleep last night, the codine and anti inflammatorys worked a treat,

Sorry about the no food updates @LevButlerov , ill do better and take more photos, happy to, I just forget and get to hungry and say to myself next food i eat, take a pic haha,

They said it is a type or a form of gout, but when I have more information ill pass it through here, I feel the shoulder has improved with about 15% more mobility which is massive

I can do some form of lower body still which good but will probably resort to machine weights for legs, ill see what I can do in there anyway

Back to work this morning and brought this meal up with me since the airport food isnt the best,

I dnt really trust the macros on the cardboard but least its a rough guide anyway, a healthy alternative than what they offer to fly in day people,

Also will get settled into my room tonight and will just be doing a walk around the camp to get my steps up for the day,

Training tomorrow

So sorry for your loss :( condolences to you & your family.

Re: the shoulder. Good news that it’s not bursitis! Gout is a pain when it flares up. Drink LOTS of water, try also drinking tart cherry juice (lowers uric acid), and maybe consider getting labs done to ensure kidney function is OK.

Gout is one of the most painful things. When I was a drinker. Would get it in my toes and ankles. Pain was unbearable, even the weight of bed sheet, was shooting pain. Since give up the drink, and cleaning up diet. Haven't had it since

Thanks so much, unsure if Alice is ur real name but let's go with that anyway haha,

Cheers Alice, with the shoulder, the doctor said whatever I have been doing and eating is not what caused the shoulder pain, it can just happen, which i thought was weird, coz if it was something that ive eaten then I coukd easily remove that from the diet uno, but yeah the dr said its a weird one,

But she did see on my last labs that my kidney and all that were good, and also good to know about the tart cherry juice, I think ive heard that before but good as a reminder though

This is what the doctor said it was

Hydroxyapatite deposition in the AC (Acromioclavicular) joint, known as calcific periarthritis of the AC joint, involves calcium crystals forming around the joint, causing acute pain, swelling, and stiffness, often mistaken for other shoulder issues like rotator cuff tears, though it's a rarer presentation of the common Hydroxyapatite Deposition Disease (HADD). Management typically includes NSAIDs, rest, ice, and sometimes steroid injections or ultrasound-guided needle aspiration, with surgery reserved for severe, persistent cases, as it's often self-limiting

Hopefully it can be managed without surgery

@codezz cable front raises and cable side raises are really nice and so are the barbell shrugs. Nice, also you're getting a solid amount of sleep. That goes a long way.

Awesome shoulder session brother 💪 love the volume!

Some variations that could consider -

Db Front raised seated on incline bench. At higher reps absolute burner 🔥🔥

I also like the strict SA lateral raise. Set incline Bench also. Lying on one side (I wrap my non working arm over the top of bench for support), and using DB to raise up. All delt. No opportunities for swing. Tough

Look up Lu raises. Humbling at fuk 🔥🔥
