Approved Log Growth Cycle - Testosterone Cypionate, NPP, Equipoise

rustle

V.I.P.
EVO Logger
Had another cutting log open fairly recently but ive now started my growth phase, sponsored by @Sassy's Pharmaceuticals @Sassy Rep and coached by @Gains Man so time to start a new one.

Cycle Objective:
I've been on my TRT dose (100mg) for a few months now while cutting. After starting at 93kg (and increasing to 97kg temporarily) i've managed to cut down to 78kg which is low enough that i feel confident to start my growth phase. The aim is to put on 6-8kg of lean mass over the next 16-18 weeks. I have my next bloods due for my TRT script in mid March. Finishing this cycle mid-ish January should get me back to baseline in that time.

My stats at start of cyle:
  • 40 yrs old
  • 5'10
  • ~18% bf

Cycle:
  • 500mg Test C/wk
  • 350mg EQ/wk
  • 200mg NPP/wk
Supplied by @Sassy's Pharmaceuticals and pinned EOD

Additionally i will continue to run 4mg Retatrutide/wk (2mg Mon, Thurs)

Baseline Bloods:
  • Total Testosterone (Siemens): 23.1 nmol/L (8.3-29)
  • Sex Hormone Binding Globulin: 19 nmol/L (11-71)
  • Calculated Free Testosterone: 672 pmol/L (255.0-725.0)

Supps:
BSN Syntha 6 Edge Strawberry WPI
Fish Oil
NAC
TUDCA
Milk Thistle
Citrus Bergamot
Multivitamin
Coq10
Vitamin D
Vitamin K2
L-Carnitine
Metamucil
Niacin

Macros:
2340 cals/day
  • 250 protein
  • 200 carbs
  • 60 fats

Training routine:
  • Monday: Push
  • Tuesday: Pull
  • Wednesdy: Cardio & Abs
  • Thursday: Legs
  • Friday: Upper
I'll be adding cardio and abs to any of the weights days when time permits.

First day of growth phase. Took 10mg of injectable superdrol 1hr before training today. Some good strength gains seen from it compared to last week. Haven't started on the EQ or NPP as (at the time of logging) the touchdown hasnt arrived yet. I've bumped the test dose up to my cycle dose though.

Sleep is still a problem and has been for months now. Just not getting solid sleep no matter what i do/take. Hopefully it doesnt negatively impact potential gains too much.

General Health and Wellbeing:
Only had time for a very short leg session today before work. Still geting messed around with sleep and daylight savings time.
Before starting this log, cruising on my TRT, i had some tenderness with my knees that ive been monitoring and easing back into big lifts. After speaking with my coach, he thinks it could actually be due to low E2. my blood panels dont give an exact measurement, just < 70 so we'll work on bringing that up a bit now im on cycle. Hopefully it gets the knees back in a good state again.

This is awesome man and you look great - I'll read through your old log but very keen to follow you on this one. Your stack is really interesting and similar to what I plan to try in summer. How did you land on that 500 test 350 eq ratio?

Haha how was the injectable superdrol bro? There's an interesting podcast episode about it based on some forum posts that's worth a listen. This one

Happy to see your start a new log @rustle followed your other logs closely :D
Strong start to the growth phase and a clear setup with structure, dosing, and tracking already dialed in. The Test C, EQ, and NPP stack will push clean size if sleep improves and macros stay locked around 2300–2400 cals with 250 g protein, but consider protein at 300 grams and talk to @Gains Man about it.

The early strength bumps from superdrol are a good sign, that's quality stuff.

@rustle The supplements that you are stacking are really good. You're covering all bases on it. Really good at protecting the organs.

Not really clear on what youre saying here. Are you saying I should continue cutting rather than trying to add mass?
bros I agree with that. @rustle look at my log. i focused on cutting first. then worried about adding more after cutting.

Took my first dose of @Sassy's Pharmaceuticals gear on Wednesday:
- 1ml Test C
- 0.25ml EQ
- 0.6ml NPP

Went in VERY smooth. Wouldnt even know ive jabbed myself, very impressed!
very nice. sometimes the PIP can come on though after a few hours or even the next day. but good to hear its smooth for now @rustle

@rustle i agree with cutting first. body fat should be low always. 10% is the max IMO

Appreciate the perspectives. At this point though im wanting some size and strength. Im not where id like to be on those fronts hence why focussing on growth now.

By no means am I planning a dirty bulk as seen from the plan my couch has me on, but I do think its the right time for me to grow rather than keep cutting.

I also think 10% max bodyfat is unrealistic for me, my lifestyle and priorities. Somewhere upto around 15% will likely be where I try to maintain eventually.

15% IS GOOD. but 10% is absolutely possible for anyone out there. @rustle It will be harder to achieve if you've never been that lean, but you can certainly do it.

This is the leanest ive ever been - which was back in 2008.
I didnt maintain this for very long though.
You look good and lean :D

10% is doable for you if you want it

@rustle glad to see you started another log brother. Let’s see how far you can push this one. I’m sure you’re going to do very well.

Took a pic earlier this afternoon. No pump. No training since thursday.
Feeling like the outline of abs is slightly more prominent?
You look really good I see abs coming in :D

Monday 13th October 2025:

Weight:
80.2kg. 2.5kg up from starting weight. I will need to closely monitor the weight gain. I don't want to increase too fast. The aim is to be around 85-86kg at the end of the cycle, minimising potential fat gains.

Training (5:30am):
Incline DB Press: 40kg x 15, 40kg x 15, 70kg x 11, 70kg x 7
Machine Flys: 47kg x 12, 54kg x 12, 96kg x 7, 96kg x 6
Chest Dips: 15, 15, 15 (note: did these at end of session - out of sequence - which did impact how many reps i could get out compared to normal)
DB Lat Raise: 10kg x 12, 12.5kg x 12, 12.5kg x 10
Upright Row: 21.25kg x 12, 21.25kg x 12, 32.5kg x 9
Tricep Pushdown: 21.25kg x 15, 25kg x 15, 36.25kg x 11
DB single arm tricep extension: 7.5kg x 10, 7.5kg x 12, 10kg x 10

General Health and Wellbeing:
Horrible sleep last night. woke up at 2:30am and couldnt get back to sleep at all after that. I set my alarm for training to try and avoid that "anxiety" feeling of needing to wake up and train. Obviously that had no effect.

Additionally i started with the kaizen 2.0 again this morning. Using a slin pin for 1ml into the delt. No PIP this time. Speed of injection seems to have a big impact on whether i experience PIP or not with this.

Good progress and smart to track weight close to avoid fast gain. Keep 70 kg incline DBs for 3x8 next session and add one more fly set at 96 kg to keep chest full.

Sleep will rebound once routine stabilizes again. Keep kaizen injection speed slow and steady to stay PIP free.

Tuesday 14th October 2025:

Cardio:
20 mins incline treadmill

Training (5:30am):
Pull ups: 12, 9, 9
Reverse Grip Lat Pulldown: 40kg x 12, 50kg x 10, 60kg x 7, 70kg x 5
DB Row: 20kg x 12, 20kg x 12, 37.5kg x 9
Rear Delt Reverse Fly (machine): 33kg x 12, 47kg x 9, 47kg x 9
Face Pull: 25kg x 12, 35kg x 12, 50kg x 5
Bicup Curl (barbell): 20kg x 12, 20kg x 12, 30kg x 9
Hammer Curl (DB): 10kg x 12, 12.5kg x 9, 12.5kg x 9
Ab crunches: 25, 25, 25

General Health and Wellbeing:
Felt weak today. This is represented in some lifts with less weight and/or less reps. Sleep is still a problem and is really going to hamper my gains on this cycle i think.
Having finished the injectable superdrol might also be affecting strength slightly. From saturday or so i'd been feeling pretty lethargic. its possible that was from the superdrol. It was 3 weeks of running it which might be my limit given it's toxicity. It could also have just been completely unrelated.

Wednesday 15th October 2025:

Training:
None

General Health and Wellbeing:
Decided to skip my usual cardio and abs day today to try and get some sleep in the morning without stressing about needing to wakeup early. It helped a "little" but i still had broken sleep as usual.
Feeling a bit "fluffy" as well. Pants feel ever so slightly tighter. I had got to the point where they were still loose even with my belt buckled to the last notch. Now on the same notch there's a bit less wiggle room. Definitely need to keep an eye on this to make sure i dont add too much unwanted weight around the midsection.

Thursday16th October 2025:

Training (5:45am):

Cardio - 1 hr incline treadmill
Ab crunches (40kg rope): 25, 25, 25
Hanging leg raises: 20, 18, 15

General Health and Wellbeing:
No change today from most other days sleep wise.
Completing my first week of using @Sassy's Pharmaceuticals @Sassy Rep gear as part of my sponsorship. Every pin has gone smoothly with no PIP whatsoever. Very impressed and grateful to be able to log their gear!

Early morning sessions, hats off to you
The wife hates me for it. Says im inconsiderate and wake the whole house up.
Meanwhile i'm tiptoeing around in the dark, have all my clothes downstairs to get changed into in the morning so i literally roll out of bed and go straight downstairs....
Women are too sensitive/exaggerate too much!

Good 2 day update. Skipping training Wednesday was fine, the extra rest helped reset a bit even if sleep stayed broken. :D

Thursday’s 1 hr incline and ab work strong, good to hear the Sassy gear pinning clean with zero PIP.

I try to make sure i get a minimum of 2hrs cardio a week, with 1hr in a dedicated session.

@Sassy's Pharmaceuticals @Sassy Rep gear going great so far. Bloods in 2 weeks to see how everything looks. Very keen to see E2 with the EQ usage for input into the EQ discussion.

waiting for bloods and we can add to EQ megathread

couple of pics following this morning's session.
Those abs are definitely popping. @rustle They are becoming more and more visible as you go. That is great to see.

Hey brother just catching up on your journey and apologise for being late to the party.
Very impressive changes since your first log back in may! Can see the commitment even through hurdles you have encountered on the way and your results speak clearly for themselves.
Having a coach is good in my opinion, it can take the guess work out of a phase so your not burning yourself out mentally questioning if something is working or swapping things arpund too much before they have had enough time to work for you. They can see things from the outside without emotional influence as we may find it difficult to looking at ourselves everday. Strong coach choice with @Gains Man and im really looing foward to seeing what you can achieve here brother 🙌 🔥

Have run into an ongoing situation that keeps escalating.

Have had carpal tunnel symptoms for about 2-3 months now, that has progressively got worse. Doesn't affect my training, but its affecting my sleep and general well-being.

For the past 5 days ive had no feeling/pins and needles in my all fingers except my pinky on my right hand. Additionally I experience aches in my elbow followed by pain when doing simple activities like shaving. Even sitting here typing this on my phone is causing great pain.

Im waking up in the morning with pain in the elbow that takes a good 15mins of various stretching to go away.

Ive booked acupuncture for tomorrow to see if I can get some relief, with Dr appt on Tuesday.

I hope for the best, but generally life seems to fuck me over and I foresee surgery being the end game.

That sounds rough, losing sensation past a few days means the nerve is being compressed hard. Acupuncture might give brief relief but definitely push for imaging and a nerve conduction test at that appointment. @rustle

You can keep doing cardio, core and lower body for now but go low weight.

acupuncture had no effect. waste of $160.
Went to the GP on Tuesday and got a referral for ultrasound which i attended today. Technician confirmed likely carpel tunnel so now waiting on the results to go back to my GP so we can get a plan to correct it.
Fuck brother sorry to hear. Hopefully the dr can give some clarity on the situation and at least then you can build a plan as you said.

That’s frustrating when you spend the money and get no relief. I hate it!
Carpal tunnel often comes from repetitive wrist flexion and compression of the median nerve, so acupuncture won’t help much since it doesn’t change mechanical load. I mean this is for guys not on HGH.

Once your results come in, start wrist mobility, nerve glides, and grip strength rehab while backing off any heavy curls and presses that irritate it. @rustle

Results are in. They recommend cortisone injections. Been running around all morning trying to get a gp to write the next referral as mine isnt working today and I had made an appointment for the procedure tomorrow in anticipation of that being the outcome.

Our system is fkd. No one will do it.
I was in hospital this morning because the pain was unbearable and even they wouldn't do anything. Just offered pain meds.

Now im stuck waiting for my GP to return to work, issue the next referral and wait days/weeks till I can get in.

I haven't been on the gym for nearly 2 weeks now. Trying to rest up. Have been doing glides and other recommended stretches for carpel tunnel since the issues started. It just keeps getting worse!

you work on what job? how physical?

Desk job, nothing physical at all.
Have been wearing wrist splints for nearly 2 weeks now too.
I was thinking its your work aggravating it.

I was thinking its your work aggravating it.
I think carpal tunnel first became popular from people working desk jobs. Typing all day can cause it.

They make special keyboards for people with carpal tunnel that are supposed to help prevent it.

Careful with the cortisone shots. It will provide short term relief but when taken regularly it can cause a lot of health issues.

Damn sorry to hear your struggles rustle, even though the cortisone will help now, long term as bad as this is it has surgery written all over it.

Can you try get a prednisone script today?
Even if for only 4 tablets

My shipment of KLOW arrived today. I took 15iu into the skin around the wrist straight away. not optimistic, but if there are any anti-inflammatory benefits of it, ive got to try it

Nice looking TD. Hopefully that blend can bring you some relief. Cortisone will definitely help short term

Been a while between actual training log updates...

Machine Flys: 54kg x 15, 54kg x 15, 103kg x 6

DB single arm tricep extension: 7.5kg x 10, 7.5kg x 12, 10kg x 10

General Health and Wellbeing:
Returning to the gym after 2 week break to see if carpel tunnel symptoms would ease. They have not, but ive been getting depressed from being absent from the gym so decided to go push through.
I'm booked in for cortisone injections in both wrists tomorrow afternoon. Im not optimistic about it fixing the problems but its the first step in the process toward the likely end goal of surgery. Obviously i'd like to avoid that, but knowing my luck, its where things will end up.
I've been sleeping upright on the couch for the last 4 nights which has been interesting. Ive actually slept through the night without waking up, but have been waking up exhausted. This is in contrast to my normal waking up every 2 hours, but feeling generally ok when i do get up. Again, cant win.

Good chest and tricep session getting back in after the break, strength still solid across presses and flys. :D

Pushing through with the carpal tunnel is rough, the cortisone can give short relief but if compression is severe surgery might be the only real fix so plan rehab smart imo

Is Cortisone as bad as they claim, i've read it can degrade joints further?
Short term it can be very helpful, very short term. But long term you're 100% it's going to destroy your life @Freki

@rustle as much as this sucks take it from personal experience. if you get those shots you need to take some time off. work on mobility in your joints that will help with these issues. look at yoga and tai chi, they work wonders on nerves.

This is very good on the iron training. I like how you start out with the cardio right off the bat. @rustle And I love the early workouts before 6 AM that's definitely a big help. You get a lot of rest before you hit it.

Sleep is, or should I say, what people think is normal 'funny'.

I wake up every time I turn over in bed. Very briefly. How I feel in the morning, rested, is all that matters. The idea that we all sleep a solid 8 hours is mostly BS.

If, for example, you only had a solid 4 hour, but felt rested then that's all that matters.

@rustle 5:30am is the best time to train. your body is ripe and ready to get exercise. you won't go wrong with that

You need corstisol shots first
oh. Yes. Public system says i have to have had cortisone injections first and have ongoing symptoms for minimum 3 months after that before becoming elligible to go in the system for surgery.

If i go private i can bypass part of that, but still need a GP willing to write me a referral to the specialist/surgeon

at the end of the day you should trust the doctor. and if you don't trust them then find one you do trust. because surgery is a very important thing that it is done right @rustle

Im very happy with my GP. took me a while to find this one after my family doctor of 40 years retired. It's just all part of the process over here.

Im Just frustrated as im 6 weeks into my cycle and this has really impacted training.
My last cycle i got covid then pneumonia. Its like the universe is telling me it wants me to stay a fat, unhealthy slob :(

You will get there @rustle
Fight through this and the next and the next and next. You will get there

And if he gets some relief then they will give another cortisone shot before surgery as well, very delayed and then a long wait once surgery approved.

Or fly to Thailand and pay all out of pocket ??? And completed by next week
that's terrible medical care, we have about the same system tbh @Freki

Got the right hand done today. They wouldn't do both. My God, the local anaesthetic was brutal! Sent sharp pains through every part of my hand and forearm until the numbness took effect.

I got light headed, sweaty and lost my hearing for about 30 seconds.

Its been 3 hours since it was done and the anaesthetic has worn off mostly now. I have an ache at the injection site and the carpal tunnel is still there, but they explained there likely wouldn't be any symptom relief for a couple of weeks.

Ill tell you what though, if injecting PEDs was this bad each time, there's no way i'd ever cycle!

@rustle Sorry to hear about the carpel tunnel! Have you ever had cortisone shots before? Helps relieve temporary pain and does work but will only last a couple of months unfortunately.

Im very happy with my GP. took me a while to find this one after my family doctor of 40 years retired. It's just all part of the process over here.

Im Just frustrated as im 6 weeks into my cycle and this has really impacted training.
My last cycle i got covid then pneumonia. Its like the universe is telling me it wants me to stay a fat, unhealthy slob :(
a great doctor is important
we need professionals in our life that help us

Good you got it done, that carpal flare must have been brutal and the anaesthetic reaction sounds nasty.

Once that settles over the next couple weeks you should feel the relief kick in, just keep the hand rested and update a bit more in a log so we can track how fast it improves. @rustle

Been a while between actual training log updates...

@rustle man I hate that for you with the carpel tunnel that would be miserable. I feel ya on the sleep though. Seems like I can’t get a good nights rest anymore

Broo that is wild! Fuck mate i take my hat off to ya. Very painful and frustrating situation you in.. just keep your chin up as best you can brother, hanging in there is all you can do right now.

Got into the gym for a very light session today. Didn't log weights or reps, I purely wanted to test ability to hold weight and form.

First set of incline dbs shot pain all the way from my wrist down the sides of my middle finger, but it was short lived. Nothing after that initial tweak on any other exercises.

I haven't got a follow up with my GP yet but I NEEDED some gym time. Endorphins from getting some time in with the iron offsets any pain. Having a good mental state is key to physical recovery as far as im concerned.

Good call keeping it light today, getting in just enough work to test form without loading that wrist was the right move :D
tbh i would just do legs and cardio in your case @rustle

Monday 24th November 2025:

Training (5:30am):

Cardio: 25 mins
Incline DB Press: 40kg x 15, 40kg x 15, 75kg x 9
Machine Flys: 54kg x 15, 54kg x 15, 103kg x 5, 103kg x 6
Chest Dips: 20, 18, 15
DB Lat Raise: 7.5kg x 12, 10kg x 12, 12.5kg x 8, 12.5kg x 6
Upright Row: skipped
Tricep Pushdown: 21.25kg x 20, 32.5kg x 15, 40kg x 7
DB single arm tricep extension: 10kg x 6, 10kg x 6, 10kg x 6

General Health and Wellbeing:
Felt pretty good today so decided to load up the weights a bit. incline dbs felt strong, new PB for reps @ 75kg there. Likewise was able to get out a few more reps in dips too.
Skipped upright row as the hand position still does sit right with the wrist and didnt want to aggrevate it.

Following the cortisone injection, my middle finger on my right hand is worse than ever. Can hardly even tell its attached to my hand other than a "tightness" i can feel when making a fist/gripping something, then at other times i'll get pains shooting down each side of the finger if i move it laterally the wrong way.

I have now been referred to an orthopedic surgeon to get into the system for surgery. Who knows how long that process will take, but if thats the end outcome, happy to be getting into the process.

Good chest day :D
75kg incline dumbbell press PB and the dips hitting 20, strength is moving even with the wrist issue!
The finger sounds rough so keep training around it until the surgeon sorts it.

@rustle Looks really good if you ask me. The cardio for 25 minutes is really nice and the chest dips are also fantastic.

Having that type of injury really sucks. Hopefully the surgery works for you. We definitely as humans need to use our fingers and hands. @rustle

nice job on hitting this training! @rustle one of the cool things about it is the cardio that you're doing first thing in the morning, getting it out of the way and this way you're free the rest of the day to do what you want.

@rustle You certainly know how to throw around the iron. Nice job on the cardio and chest dips as well. The tricep pushdowns are also looking good.
