I get asked numerous times on a daily basis as to what my diet looks like... While it does change to accommodate types of cycles, goals, etc... it generally stays about the same... I am the most strict and regimented person you are going to come across... Here is a typical day for me...

CARDIO: 80 minutes and
ABS Training

mid day: 1 can of the lowest sodium you can find trader joe's tuna =)

afternoon: 9 egg whites cooked with 1 box of mushrooms, 1.5 scoops protein and 1/2 serving peanut butter
Bob's Red Mill (Dylan Creation Combo): 3/4 serving oat bran, 1/4 serving muesli, 3/4 serving wheat bran and 1/2 serving of raisins mixed with 1 scoop protein and 1/2 serving peanut butter cooked in unsweetened almond milk...

pre workout 1 natural quest bar

GYM: 30 MORE Minutes of cardio
15 minutes sauna

1 whey protein drink

LIFT

evening: 4 servings vegetables ( peppers, onions, mushrooms, carrots and zuchini)
1 fat free PLAIN greek yogurt
8 oz. chicken or white fish

Snack: 1 natural quest bar

before bed: 9 egg whites cooked with 1 box of mushrooms, 1.5 scoops protein and 1/2 serving peanut butter

Hi Dylan, I see you're into the several meals per day - I thought you were an advocate of intermittent fasting on EF? (I may have it wrong)

Super clean diet, you have it down to a T. I don't even think I would be tempted to cheat with a daily intake like this.

Looks pretty damn high in protein to me.

Dylan, any reason you don't have lean meats in there like chicken breast or Turkey?

I am actually experimenting with non meat sources of protein...mostly egg whites and flaxseed, which is EXTREMELY high in protein(45-60 g per cup and a half depending on type) and also quite possibly the most anti-inflammatory food you could put in your body. Gotta use whole flax, not ground to avoid most of the phyto-estrogenic properties it can have...

Why avoid meats? Mainly as an experiment, but also to reduce my acidic metabolic load as animal protein is extremely acidifying to the body whereas egg whites are neutral. Experiment is to see if it helps with psoriasis, and early returns two weeks in suggest it does...in reality it is an indirect help as it reduces the metabolic work load on the body, allowing it to clear the excessive toxins more easily...

Also use either Plant Fusion protein or combo of Organic Yellow Pea Protein and Sprouted Brown Rice protein which form a very good amino acid profile, very high in leucine due to the pea protein, one of the few good vegetarian sources of this AA, which is the hormonal marker the body looks at to gauge protein levels, and as such the most important AA of them all...

yeah, but just 8oz a day?? shit i down 20-24oz of meat a day. But it is pretty much my primary source of protein......aside from 2 small shakes.

its all goal dependent... there's absolutely nothing wrong with eating more meat or fish but it just depends... my wife has gotten me into more of a green lifestyle and i have to say, i was very skeptical but i decided to try it and i am very happy i did... it works very well and i just feel a lot better in general and my overall output in the gym has increased even more... i constantly try to shock my body but tend to stay on the same general path with what i am eating... you have to change things around constantly to make improvements and gains continual throughout the year so that's what i try to do while keeping the same concept...

diet looks great bro....but why not add more protein? :)

lol i could and i actually used to take in more but i wanted a bit more size... the amount i take in allows me to still add muscle while keeping my calories in a deficit and cutting all at the same time... withe the amount of cardio i do and just general calories burned throughout the day, i have a very high maintenance so the protein compensates that... it also allows for optimal fat burning... i take in a lot of fiber as well for several reasons... obviously it keeps you in the bathroom but that's a good thing because it gets all the toxins out... it also keeps you feeling full and satisfied... while i do keep fruits to a minimum, grapefruit is my staple... it regulates insulin, helps with absorption of orals, is full of fiber and keeps you feeling satisfied and i just love the way they taste on top of it... =)

i have put so much time and effort into my diet bro... i have figured out ways to make the healthiest foods taste extremely good and i actually things i look forward to while still being able to keep cut throughout the year... it can get challenging at times but its well worth it for me...

WOW..thats all I can say. well let me add, very vigilant, impressive and I should really improve my own habits.

thanks bro... i will say this about me... I am probably one of the most disciplined and regimented people you will ever come across... I take it seriously 7 days a week, 365 days a year... Even when I go out of town, I require a hotel with a full kitchen so i can cook all my meals... I do everything myself and lucky for me my wife eats extremely healthy and so we are both on the exact same page... It makes things really nice for me... I am very difficult but we think alike so it works very well...
