Approved Log Cycle - Training - Diet - Supplement Log

Thanks, I am on the bome broth, I drink 2 cups per day. Peptides in Australia are very difficult to get, I wonder if there are any reputable sources for them in this forum. Will check it out asap.
@aussie.muncher I think a lot of Aussie suppliers carry peptides. Check the Aussie sub?

Forum Log Update – Week 6 Progress

Time for another update. This cycle has been a bit of a rollercoaster—some solid gains but also a lot of unexpected and pretty chronic issues that I’ve had to troubleshoot along the way. Still pushing forward, but it's been a learning experience for sure, and I feel relatively unwell as I write this.

Body Measurements Update

Since my last update, here’s where I stand:

  • Weight: 77kg (+2kg)
  • Neck: 40cm (no change)
  • Shoulders: 124cm (-1cm)
  • Chest: 105.5cm (-2cm)
  • Biceps (flexed): L: 36.5cm (-0.5cm), R: 37cm (-0.4cm)
  • Forearms (relaxed): L: 29.5cm (+0.7cm), R: 29.5cm (+0.5cm)
  • Waist (at navel): 97.5cm (+1.5cm)
  • Hips (widest part): 98cm (-0.3cm)
  • Thighs (flexed): L: 57cm (-0.5cm), R: 57cm (-0.5cm)
  • Calves (relaxed): L: 37.5cm (no change), R: 38.5cm (no change)

Strength & Training

This is where things have taken a hit. Strength hasn't really progressed like I expected—not because of lack of effort, but because of all the side effects I’ve been dealing with.

The biggest issue? Insane pumps that border on painful. My calves and forearms have been so tight after training that I physically couldn’t straighten my legs or fully extend my arms. It’s like my muscles are going to rip out of my skin. The pumps last for a while post-training but eventually fade.

On top of that, fatigue and swelling have started creeping back in due to high estrogen levels, which has made training feel way harder than it should.

Mostly stuck to my usual training plan, but physically at a reduced rate:

  • Monday – Biceps
  • Tuesday – Triceps
  • Wednesday – Back
  • Thursday – Chest
  • Friday – Shoulders
  • Extra Work: wrist roller, and light leg work daily, had to scrap fasted walks completely for now, my calves and achilies can not handle it.

Side Effects & Solutions So Far

Feb 16 – Severe Pumps Started

  • Started getting crazy pumps in my calves and forearms during workouts.
  • Calves were locking up so tight I couldn't straighten my legs post-workout.
Fix:

  • Added Lite Salt for potassium.
  • Increased Celtic Sea Salt and water intake.
  • Dropped Anavar from 60mg to 40mg.
Helped somewhat make training possible but has not cleared up the issue at all.

Feb 24 – Achilles & Knee Pain Worsening

  • Achilles tendon pain started getting worse—first just post-walks, then all day long.
  • Back of knees swollen, tight, and sore.
Fix:

  • Wearing compression sleeves on knees.
  • Gentle stretching and massage on Achilles.
  • Added Collagen and Vitamin C for tendon health.
  • Completely eliminated walking, still not doing them

Feb 26 – Liver Pain & Digestive Issues

  • Liver pain under right rib started flaring up randomly.
  • Diarrhea had been ongoing but got worse.
  • Shortness of breath and tight chest for a couple of days.
Fix:

  • Lowered Anavar from 40mg to 20mg temp.
  • Took Activated Charcoal to absorb toxins.
  • This actually made a big difference, and the pain subsided within an hour, but i still deal wth it daily.

March 3 – Estrogen Symptoms Hit Hard

  • Swelling in hands, joints, and ankles.
  • Hard, sore lump under left nipple.
  • Fatigue coming back.
  • Aches and general feeling of inflammation.
Fix:

  • Started Aromasin 12.5mg ED, but this didn't work.
  • Today, I upped it to 3 days of 25mg ED to bring estrogen down fast, then taper back to EOD dosing, ill see how it goes, hope it works.

March 5 TODAY – Liver Pain & Achilles Tendon at Its Worst

  • Woke up feeling off, weak, and a bit dizzy.
  • Liver pain was sharper than before.
  • Achilles so inflamed that walking normally was painful.
Fix:

  • Dropping Anavar to 20mg for the final 11 days or stopping completely if needed.
  • Upping collagen and Vitamin C intake.
  • Keeping hydration and electrolytes in check.
  • Using compression sleeves 24/7 for knee support.

Current Challenges & Next Steps

Right now, the biggest issues are:

  1. High Estrogen – Still holding too much water and dealing with swelling.
  2. Liver Stress – Anavar may have to go entirely if pain persists.
  3. Achilles Tendon Pain – Makes it hard to walk, let alone train properly.

What I’m Doing About It:

  • Aromasin 25mg ED for 3 days, then back to 12.5mg EOD.
  • Keeping Anavar at 20mg max, might stop entirely if liver doesn't improve.
  • Compression sleeves and tendon rehab to avoid long-term Achilles damage.
  • Keeping diet and electrolytes locked in.

Final Thoughts

The weight gain (+2kg) is solid, but I expected more strength progression. Side effects have slowed me down, but I’m working through them, however I will say they have been terrible and actually devastating to my training and overall health.

I’ll see how things go after a few days of higher Aromasin and lower Anavar. If things improve, I can finish strong. If not, I’ll pull Anavar early and focus on getting back to peak performance if I can.

Thanks
@aussie.muncher for the pumps I’m not sure if you are taking the anavar all at once but you may split it into 2 doses that should help out

Thanks man, I was splitting them throughout the day morning, middle, and evening, than morning and evening and now I am only dosing 20mg per morning and the pumps are down but so is strength and all the benifits of Var unfortunately

Forum Log Update – Ending the Cycle 3 Week Early

Hey guys,
Sorry I’ve been MIA for a little while. Honestly, I just haven’t felt like checking in — the side effects really got the better of me, and I was too disheartened by how things were going. I didn’t want to come in here with negativity, but now that I’ve had a bit of time to think, I wanted to give you all a proper update.

Latest Measurements (April 04)

Here’s where I landed on my last check-in:

  • Weight: 75kg
  • Neck: 39.5cm
  • Shoulders: 122.5cm
  • Chest: 107cm
  • Biceps (L/R): 36.4cm / 37cm
  • Forearms (L/R): 29cm / 29cm
  • Waist: 97cm
  • Hips: 98.5cm
  • Thighs (L/R): 54.5cm / 55cm
  • Calves (L/R): 38cm / 38cm

Compared to my last update on March 17, it’s pretty clear things have started moving in the wrong direction, actually I am smaller than when I started this cycle. Weight is down 2kg, thighs and shoulders shrunk slightly, and overall tightness and strength just haven’t been there. Some of this is water loss, some likely inflammation dropping — but overall, I’ve felt like I’ve been fighting my own body every step of the way.

Side Effects Since Last Update

This is where the cycle fell apart for me. I’ve had an absolute onslaught of side effects since the last post:

  • Severe injection site inflammation – One glute got so red, hot, and swollen I was seriously worried it was turning into an abscess. I am seeing a Dr today as I believe I need antibiotics asap. This is not from bad practice but a sterile abscess in my opinion, likely a reaction to the oil.
  • Recurring liver pain – Dull to sharp discomfort under my right rib.
  • Chronic Achilles tendon pain – I can barely walk properly without aggravating the tendon-calf junction. Can’t even go up on my toes anymore and haven't been able to train legs in over a month.
  • Swelling in my legs, hands, and ankles – Constant water retention that made my joints ache and fingers feel puffy every morning.
  • Persistent diarrhea – Daily since the start of the cycle. Nothing resolved it.
  • Chest tightness and shortness of breath – Came and went, likely tied to liver or systemic stress.
  • Severe fatigue, weakness in arms – Some days I felt like I couldn’t lift at all, today I could barely drive.
  • Estrogen rollercoaster – Aromasin helped, but the sore lump under my left nipple never really shrank, and estrogen rebound made me feel awful whenever I adjusted dosing.
  • Hot flushes, shivers – Like flu symptoms some days, totally random, I think this is abscess-related.
  • Indigestion and heartburn – Constantly relying on antacids to get through the day, lessened after removing the Anavar early but still remained overall.

I think the real breaking point was when I realised I was still getting weaker — not stronger — and I couldn’t even stick to my training routine because of how wrecked I felt and the risk of injury to my tendons.

Honest Thoughts

The truth is: the gear does what it’s meant to do. I don’t blame the compounds. The strength gains I should have gotten were there on paper — my body just rejected it this time. Whether it’s genetics, stress, gut issues, or something else, I’m clearly not tolerating these levels anymore.

I had big plans for this cycle, but the side effects have been too severe and too constant, and my actual results just don’t justify continuing. I’ve decided to end the cycle early and go back to basic TRT — 1ml Test E per week and cut all other compounds effective immediately.

The Plan Now

I’m going into full recovery mode for the next 3 months. I’ll focus on:

  • Healing my liver and gut
  • Rebuilding tendon health (Achilles, knees)
  • Stabilising hormones
  • Getting back to my regular energy levels and clean diet
  • Resetting physically and mentally

Final Note

To anyone reading — don’t take this as a warning against using gear. It works, and for many people it works great. But listen to your body. If your health starts to tank, no gains are worth it. I’ve pushed through some hard cycles in the past, but this one broke me.

Thanks to everyone who’s followed along. Sorry to disappoint, this cycle started off amazing, I felt superhuman, but then I just crumbled. I just can not wait to start feeling human again.

@aussie.muncher sorry to hear this bro but im not surprised at this
your diet and training was off, your gear use was off, you didnt plan this right
the sides can be healed but not with this approach
i hope you can come back and we can replan and reLOG properly with the EVO family

What exactly was off about it all mate?
For a newby cycle I planned as much as I possibly could to my knoand research and nobody mentioned anything until now. So I am genuinely interested in precisely what you would have done differently?

Also any peptides you might suggest to aid recovery, I am in pretty bad shape so need the advantage.

straight with u bro planning was off @aussie.muncher
Over a gram of gear as a newbie cycle and that training setup was low-key really bad
here @Zoooo said it best
food off, training off, and updates off and gear too much

Perfect man but whats your actual advice for alternatives? I wish someone had mentioned this on my 1st post I would have 100% made adjustments. I am here to learn, I know some blokes won't listen but Im not one of them.
I did tell you how to fix up the training but you didn't change it, you don't need a whole session for biceps and a whole session for triceps that's just silly. And if your a newbie you only need about half that amount of gear

Oh yes I recall. I used to train 2 muscle groups a day as you suggested but about 2 years ago I switched to one and have seen much better results thats why I stuck with it but I will look at changing this up next round.
I did switch my days around as you suggested though.

So you think the stack was good but I was dosing to high?

A muscle group would be arms (biceps and triceps together) not a whole day on 1 small muscle. How many actual cycles have you ran before?

About 5 cycles but over 15 years my last was probably 4 years ago before this one.
Okay so you've done afew then, you could always have just started low with abit of test and little bit of deca if that's what you wanted to use and just titrate up if everything was going smooth and bloods were good

True, the oils have been good to me except I let the estrogen get out of hand (to much test) and have struggled to level out. Keeps crashing and spiking.

The main issue was the Var though, my tendons are minced from the fast strength increase and it pretty much prevented me from training anything substantially for the entire second half of the cycle. Next time I am going zero orals.

The 1st half of the cycle was amazing, bloods good and I felt great. Then it all blew up real quick and I been in damage control since.

Maybe next time start low with no orals and take it slow. Also maybe run a simple PPL split

Yeah mate you are right, PPL split it is.
What do you think about the diet I am on. I am carnivore and haven't had carbs in years due to health shit thats fully healed when I eat just animal products, you think thats a disadvantage?

Bro, I would have pushed through the side effects.

That shit don't bother me, just drink some Hooch and pass out and you'll feel better in the morning.

I really think professionals could tolerate higher doses of steroids.

That's one. Big reason why they are Pros.

My 2c bro, the stack is fine but where some issues were introduced is - first cycle should have been focused on seeing how your body responds to testosterone. Seeing how you respond to aromatization and learn the best way to control e2 that suits your body's response. Nandrolone in first cycle, 19nors sides are tricky regardless as individual response varies significantly from person to person and deca being such a long ester is always going to problematic trying to cut it out if and when sides show up. Npp would have been a better option for your first run with Nandrolone as when problems come about you could have cut it a lot quicker. Last one is the var, not sure if you had bloods dont prior and seen where your organ health way at but this always a must. Biggest thing brother is you introduced 3 variables, larger dose test/19nor/oral, on a first run so was will always be an issue seeing which compound caused you the drama or if they all contributed. Heal up and rest the body come back and try just a higher test cycle maybe? Learn how much training your body can handle whilst getting enough recovery. Try different nutritional approaches in the meantime to see your bodies response. Don't give up though bro just reset, readjust and try again. All the best legend 🙌

Thanks, man. But, don't slow down on your log. Keep updating us.

We want to make sure that you're okay and then it cause any permanent damage.

I would load up and support supplements. That's going to be very important and do some fasting as well.

Do some time restricted eating.

Do some yoga. Hot Yoga is really good for sweating.

I am dedicated man and determined to heal and come back stronger. I am open to guidance. What would you have done differently?

@aussie.muncher if you want to redo the whole thing you'd have to start bro
i would start TRT and push hard again

@aussie.muncher var does the same to me and my tendons man.

Great advice man and I have saved this one into the memory banks for the future. I'll never give up man its not an option 💪
Thanks for the feedback.

100% agree with stopping. These are some serious side effects. You were experiencing
Im back on 1ml test-e per week split in 2. And I already feel alot better.
I wasn't silly and listened to my body, I cut the var 2 weeks early as well during cycle, also used aromain and Nolvadex to try and control the estrogen, I even dropped test and deca dosage but I think once the symptoms showed up it was to late. No matter what I did things got worse but now I am feeling better on TRT, time to recover and regroup. I learned a lot from this.

Do you get blood tests?

My first cycle was 300 test and 400 primo i purposely picked gear i knew was low sides easy to mange and give me a hassle free cycle, i was worried to much that what you went through i would go through and i didnt want any of that, so i took the low and slow approach.

AI i would have deployed day 1 and did an eod protocol with that and made sure my numbers stabilized well within range.

Even with experience if you take years off never jump into the deep end of the pool, 19nors are incredibly hard and fickle, npp would have been the better choice.

Plus i would have cut that test dose in half, better starting out conservative then going for the home run, majority of these sides could have been prevented and avoided.

I wish you a speedy healthy and better recovery brother.

@aussie.muncher t takes courage to share your experience, especially when things don't go as planned. You made the right call prioritizing your health and ending the cycle early. Side effects like those are serious, and no amount of gains is worth jeopardizing your well-being.

Howdy Lads

Thought I'd pop in and give an update.
Its not good.

I am only on TRT right now everything else was stopped as per my last post.

I can't get my kidney and liver to function correctly and its causing me big drama's, no matter how much minerals and water I consume I am still constantly dehydrated among a whole array of other problems, to many to fully cover in my weak state.

It's been rough, I am 4kg Lighter then when I started this cycle and most days can not train, had to cut back protein as well to help my liver recover.

Going to get full blood work done next week and I will post the results here.

@aussie.muncher welcome back to the EVO family :D

I think your issue is lack of electrolytes and proper food IMO.
what level of electrolytes you taking in? what foods?

I don't get a lot of electrolytes from food as my body doesn't tolerate carbs and sugars well, I have some carbs in the form of broccoli etc but my diet is pretty much keto.
For electrolytes I have 1/4 teaspoon of Baja Gold salt in the morning and again in the evening.

@aussie.muncher you can easily take sodium potassium magnesium electrolyte powder, try that. Salts alone are not enough.
