Not being negative. Just being honest. Lol. Its a great idea but I just don't see it being legit. You could take your tablet or iPad and do an alternate in every coffee shop and WiFi spot in town all with diff IP Addy's. And win. I thought more about growing our community

Point 1: There seems to be a small misunderstanding on the actual referral flow and the #s. To put things in perspective, the last contest we did, the #4 placing had referred 120 people by the end of 30 days. That means you would have to go to 120 coffee shops just to get 4th place.
If you're will to do all that, god bless you that you love evo so much - you deserve at least 4th place.Point 2: This is internal forum information, but due to an issue with spamming we keep track of MAC addresses. What does this mean? Simply put, if a spammer uses the same botnet, he'll use the same compromised computers and add different IP ranges. This creates an issue with stopping spam if you're not aware of the actual device used, correct? Well, we are aware of the device. A MAC address filter is set up, so when you use your iPad to sign up 100 times, our system would know.
*Side note -- every device has a unique MAC address.
Therefore, if you wanted to "game" the contest, I'm sure we couldn't stop you or anyone else from trying. However, when we filter the results and check who signed up from what IP and what devices were used, we would immediately disqualify the person.

I dont feel anyone that is a mod vip etc should be allowed to be part of this contest. Reason is.....
They belong to other boards in which they are a mod etc and they are sending out a mass PM to each member to come here.
I or anyone else would not have that ability.
When the winner is chosen and it is a mod/vip/rep from another board you will see my point.

there's noone over here who can send mass pm's on elite man... im not competing in this nor is wolfpack so you have nothing to worry about... its whoever works the hardest and recruits the most... plain and simple... there are NO favorites being played as neither I nor wolfpack will allow it... you can try to trick the system, but the system will fuck you back much harder if you attempt it... this will be conducted with nothing but fair and level playing fields... even if someone is a mod on another forum, that may not work to their advantage as much as you think... there's a lot of guys that can't stand mods and will do anything to hinder them, not help... trust me, i've been scrued over on these kind of contests before and that's even more reason why it won't be tolerated... anyone that feels there's anything unfair or wants to complain, then its plain and simple, don't even bother competing... you can't honestly think we would put this kind of contest up to screw anyone over... we want to see who wants it the most... Someone please point out any other forum that does this for their members... Good luck... That's a huge first prize and that's not even all the prizes! So just bust your ass and play fair and may the best man win... The best man WILL win because that's the only way we know how to run things... Fair and competitive...
