Veteran Log First Testosterone Cycle Log

As you are closing out your cycle, I think you should consider doing a longer deload for a week.

You can drop the AM salt and see how you feel. @BeMe

Try some valerian root with magnesium potassium and zinc prebed. Melatonin maybe too much.
Recovery is back today. Sleep was good last night and feeling strong again.

My training is pretty easy ATM. 3 days of arms and 2 days of the rest. 2 days off on the weekend. Definitely not overtraining anymore.

I'll checkout the valerian root. I'm taking quite a bit of magnesium, potassium, and zinc in my other supplements already. My doc recently added a new supplement to my stack to increase my potassium and copper intake. Last bloods both were a bit low.

If you are taking high magensium it's fine, try valerian right before bed. Good training if you feel the energy. :D

i would have never known you had a canadian accent. you sound more like midwest
We do have a lot in common with the Midwesterners. I'm from Toronto so we don't have much of a Canadian accent here. I only have a bit of one from growing up playing hockey. Hockey arenas are very Canadian lol

do you have a floor beneath that? i ask cause if you drop a heavy weight it can still damage the flooring depending on the type. its in the basement or do you have a floor under?
It's a 3/4 CrossFit floor with a shock absorber core, then carpet under, and I'm using bumpers. When I deadlift I always control the negative as best I can too.

I can see the engineering gears turning in your head lol. I'm worried about damaging the concrete too, so I'm pretty careful.

Log Day 139

Feeling great today. Blood pressure has come back down some and recovery has bounced back up just in time for a good training session.

I was thinking my diet might be the cause of the higher blood pressure. I let carbs and fat get a bit outta hand the last few days so I intentionally cut carbs down to around 200 (the pic is wrong) and kept fat low too. Seems to have worked, but time will tell.

Another busy 7k steps day at work but good news is I got my shit done and I can take a day off tomorrow for an extra long weekend! I'm actually getting 1 day off this summer. Usually I don't so this is pretty sweet.

High carbs might be the issue thats possible but remember you're coming off cycles as well.
what is your dose this week for gear? @BeMe

Feeling ready to go. Training starts right now @LevButlerov

Legs, back, and chest today. Gonna be a good one!

I trained high rep the whole time on cycle cuz I was worried I wouldn't know my new limits and might tear something. I'm back working in the 8-12 rep range and my body is really responding. I'm feeling the DOMS like I'm a new lifter.

I think you should work back to 6-8 reps with 1 drop set 10-12, slower on the training as you cycle down.
@BeMe
what is your pinning schedule now? remind me please

You go for the head and I'll work the body lol
bro ha! will be fun hearing him scream with his weird ass irish accent.

Log Day 134

Took my last dose of Primo and NPP last night so my cycle is officially over. @stevesmi and @Mobster made a great case on the podcast today for not tapering long ester compounds and it sounded very logical. Extending the length of a cycle to taper is more negative then positive. Next time I'll probably just stop and see how that goes for me.

Now that I'm off it's a sport TRT+ cruise til my next cycle. 70mg test e EOD and 2iu GH everyday before bed.

The GH still has me recovering amazingly well. I feel like I'm getting an extra hour of sleep every night.

I still haven't experienced any drop off in the gym and my weight is hanging on around 190lbs. I'm very interested to see how things go in the coming weeks while I'm cruising. Hopefully I can keep hanging on to my gains, or atleast most of them.

7Omg test e EOD, 2iu GH before bed

Ya my plan is to go 6-8 next meso. Getting my body used to the heavier stuff again. I think I was overly worried about tearing shit up on cycle and over did the high rep stuff. Usually I'll go high rep for 8 weeks tops.

I got 2 more weeks and a deload on this one.

Total gamechanger right. I'm sure it's great someone as jacked as you. Moving the weight really does change the movement.
It was costly, but worth every cent

7Omg test e EOD, 2iu GH before bed
Yes I checked my notes I thought you were doing 100mgs EOD. Good correction.
You should add some peptides on the sports TRT+ you're doing, IGF-1 etc.

I think plan for 6 weeks not more. @BeMe

2 weeks but follow with 1 week 30% training deload.

Brooo you're one to talk. Chicago has one of the craziest accents in the states. Massachusetts, North Dakota, then Illinois coming in 3rd for sure lol
Well I’m a couple generations removed from the immigrant ancestors that landed in Chicago proper. But like your Canadian accent sometimes creeping in, I have that.

But your numbers are waaaaay off. Let me take you to the border of Alabama and Georgia. You cannot. Understand. What they are saying. Period. I’m gonna stop there. I had a good friend from there. He was awesome. There’s plenty other places like that, and I wouldn’t want anyone to feel insulted even if I didn’t mean it that way. Hell, I used to work for a company off all New Yorkers. There’s TONS of crazy accents I. ThE US. There an Amish accent. I could rattle off a dozen THICK accents easy

I stand by my order lol. I think Southern accents are pretty cool. Top tier of the best American accents. New York is classic with all the old mobster movies so gotta love them too. Sorry bro Chicaaago is still number 3 funniest sounding accents. I know we'd be up there with you here in Canada, but stones and glass houses bro lol.

Yeah southern accents are cool. Southern women talking to you is like, spellbinding. But the really Deep South, where nobody goes and nobody leaves, might as well be a different language. I’m telling you, you can’t understand them. I’ve had situations at work where I had to ask someone to repeat themselves, repeatedly. If they spoke Spanish it wouldn’t been better and my Spanish is really really bad. Like a three year old. But they could understand me just fine, hence, I’m the one with no accent hahaha

Yea the fast talking southerners are pretty tough to understand. Especially Louisiana, that is definitely not all English. I love the old school southern rap tho. That slow southern style sounds so cool. Probably why I love Southern accents so much.

Pretty cool how diverse America is. It's really like 5 or 6 countries rolled into one. We're kinda the same way too. Guess it's just the size of our countries that makes us this way.

bro i'm sure it will make the austrians on here happy since they hate him so much ha

I also would put some mats against the wall in case the weight falls off and rolls against the wall, that's another issue.

Lol too late on that one. I've knocked a couple holes in the wall over the years. I just patch em up. I'm pretty good at drywall and taping and I don't really care if it looks pretty. I'll fix it all up nice when I go to sell.

Up at the cottage but I think I might have fucked up my GH. I thought I'd be smart and wrap it with this gel ice pack thing I have for icing injuries. Tossed it in my lunch box and drove up for an hour and a half. When I got here I noticed the GH had actually froze...live and learn. Hopefully it still has some potency and it's not totally ruined.

Ah that sucks.

Ah that sucks.
Ya. I'm assuming GH is like peptides and freezing it would damage the molecular structure and ruin it. My only hope is it wasn't like rock solid, more like icicle and I held it in my hand for a minute and it liquified again.

Beautiful place to walk :D very green! @BeMe
I know right, isn't green nice. You know where there's almost no green.....the desert! Lol

Forest vs Desert forest wins everytime. You're gonna have to come live with me in the woods

Log Day 140

Cruise dose 70mg test EOD, 2iu GH

Back at it going strong again. Woke up feeling nice and recovered and had a great session in the gym. Upped the weight on a bunch of my movements. Maxed out my leg extension machine...I'm gonna have to buy some thinner iron plates so I can get more weight on there.

Sleep was great last night. Got to sleep in this morning on my 1 day off this summer. Life is very good. Bp was 128/77 this morning so it's staying back down from those 140 highs.

Back up north at the cottage for a nice relaxing weekend.

Winter is awesome as long as you're not somewhere that gets crazy cold. In Toronto the winters are usually pretty mild and it looks nice when everything is covered in snow. The winter air is the best too. No smells, just clean crisp cool air.

Plus...what's Christmas with no snow??? You can't hang lights and ornaments on cacti?

We went from boiling hot to fall like conditions pretty quick. Not really any proper Canadian summer weather this year. The leaves are already starting to change up north here.

nice work on this. what is heart rate variability mean? why did it dip and then bounce after wednesday @BeMe

Yea when you're in an evergreen forest after it rains it smells amazing. The pines and cedars are refreshing
One of my neighbors has their very steep yard planted with evergreen bushes so they don’t have to mow it. I remember the first time I noticed because we were cruising by on the boat and my gf said “I can smell their yard!” Hahaha. It really is awesome. A kid I grew up with, his whole huge yard was chamomile.

I'm actually shocked to see the leaves turning already. We don't usually get this before labour day and this summer has been one of the hottest on record up til about 2 weeks ago. I was hoping we'd get an Indian summer this year cuz it was so hot.

You must have had a cold front come through. that is nice. cool it down a bit as we get into september
Ya fall is my favorite season here in Canada. It's a great time to be outside. I don't know how someone as jacked as you can survive in Orlando lol.

bros that some nice woods. you can dump some bodies out there lol. @BeMe what you mean not proper summer?
We had a bad winter last year. Even got a crazy ice storm in the end of April. Then outta no where in the beginning of June it got blazing hot and stayed that way up until a couple weeks back when it was finally more like a Canadian summer. No suddenly it's cooler off a lot and the leaves are beginning to turn early. Feels like we never really got a proper Canadian summer up here.

HRV is a measure of tiny changes in time between your heart beats. It's one way of determining how well your body is recovered. It's a big thing with endurance athletes and their trainers when they're figuring out how hard they can push their training day to day

Damn Ken Jennings is brilliant. If I'm going on trivia show and can pick a teammate Kens the guy.

Petrichor. I'm gonna try to remember that but I will likely be gone by tomorrow lol

I’ve been tempted to, but the river was flooding into the yard pretty regularly until they finally fixed the dam. And then it just wreaks havoc. I haven’t done enough research to know if it would survive it or if a bunch of gnarly stuff would grow back instead. My yard is decent sized, but when the dam was broken the water would come all the way up to my house. And then it stays soft for like, a month at least.

Ya his recall in unreal. Especially considering how much knowledge he's gained in so many areas.

I noticed today the area around me has no pines...I never realized that lol. All cedars. But just down the road they're everywhere.

Log Day 141

Cruising 70mg test EOD, 2iu GH

Good news, I didn't ruin my GH when it started freezing. It definitely put me to sleep last night and I work up today highly recovered.

Had to train fasted in the AM yesterday morning to get it done before heading up to the cottage. My numbers actually held up surprisingly well. Only lost a rep on the Arnold curls.

After getting in my early training session I hit the road and been up north since. Got 12k steps in for the day and kept my eating under control. I'm stuck eating whatever I'm served this weekend with some meal prep stuff to fill the gaps. My macros are gonna be a bit off, but hopefully not too bad.

No the lower the number the lower your recovery. So Wednesday was actually pretty bad.

HRV is different for everyone too. My high HRV would probably be a terrible number for someone like @stevesmi cuz of his endurance training.

There are a few trailer parks on that road. Good catch lol
I fucking knew it! Probably a cat food castle as well

Log Day 142

Current dose 70mg test EOD and 2iu GH

Technically a rest day but I got a crazy workout in moving removing close to 2 tons of weeds from the lake. Back is feeling that today.

My diet is a bit off but I'm making the best of it. Skipping some stuff and filling in the gaps with food I brought.

Other than that just working on my tan and getting some jet skiing in.
