GOMAD milk choice

rickyj

New member
I'm starting a month of GOMAD, and would prefer to drink good old choccy milk instead of pkain full cream milk, problem is, its made with skin milk, has still 8g protein per serve but 4.5g fat instead of ... Is the benefit of gomad the protein, ir far content.. Or both .. ?

So, choc or normal - thanks lads

My training partner just says "drink more, easy" yeah I guess so, but 4 litres is is already pushing it. Its costing me nearly $4 a litre already. I might try adding a syrup ir flavour to whole milk .. Has anyone here tried gomad?

There's a giant at my gym who's done it for years !

That is a lot of milk bro, I'm afraid of everything in milk from the puss from cow's infected tits to the BGH they inject the animals with. I guess it has nutrition but I'm partial to vegetables and a little bit of white meats.

GOMAD is a very very bad idea. It's basically a bulking strategy for newbs, to make the scale move because of how fat you get doing that. All that fat and lactose with a gallon of milk a day is horrible for you.

I don't know why people can't understand the whole concept of eating clean. Lean meats, egg whites, sweet potatoes, rice, green veggies, etc.....THAT is how you want to gain. Not this milk nonsense unless you want to turn into a fat bloated mess

you post the same thing every other week about how you are starting this GOMAD crap diet.

fast women, fast money, and fast gains all come with consequences. bulk the right way, this is not the way to do it.. you are just being impatient.

people give people shit about hopping on DNP to lose weight fast on these forums, well this is the same thing.

set a 6 month goal of putting on muscle mass and eat the right way. eating lard, sugar, fat, and who knows what else they put in milk these days is disgusting

Every one is looking for the easy way ... When I was around their was no go mad.. Wtf

I think the issue is that everybody wants to see overnight results. They want those big gains real real quick. If you do it the right way, no your not going to have crazy overnight results buy you will have quality results. My brother did it the way you are taking about. ..he got big...but he spent 6 months back tracking and fixing his mistakes. He always said if he did it right. ....be could have spent those 6 months growing quality instead of back tracking

I've never understood these fad diets. Is it just a case of being 'extreme' that has some kind of allure? A quick glance at basic nutritional guidelines show how absurd they all are. Just eat lean meats, complex carbs, and lots of vegetables. It doesn't have to be complicated.

we did have a thread like this a couple months ago where a couple douchebags told the OP to do it.

none of those guys even lift that's the funny part of the story and one of them flew off the deep end and said people should drink chocolate milk after a workout.. LMAO.. I've been going to gyms for 20+ years and not once have I seen someone drinking chocolate milk outside of 3rd grade, maybe he was thinking about the little nursery thing they have at gyms where you can drop your brat off for an hour

lol @ steve with the chocolate milk comment so fucking true. Bulking is just like cutting it takes persistence and consistency ...

No, I smuggle in the choccy milk under a towel and down it it in the toilet before tearing it it up and flushing the evidence, I suppose I could put it in sn extra large sippy cup, then no-one will know

If I was eating a meal, and I had the choice, its Choc all the way if its a choice over plain milk, I use plain for shakes, cereal and coffee. But hey, each to thier own.

I do procrastinate, I 'want to start, 2 litres ED is where I'm at comfortably, all those extra calories cant hurt, ontop if my current diet. I don't compete so I'm not too worried about some extra fat for a few months. No one, ill search the thread. If it helps me finally break the hundy kg I'm all for it.

HA! Steve I just read your post properly, drink chocolate milk 'after' a workout, hahaa. I gotta find that. It was sarcasm, I dont practice my smiley quotes

I've not seen anyone Drinking Chocolate Milk either in the Gym.

However, I do remember seeing this in Muscle & Fitness, and a couple other Magazines.
So this is where it's probably coming from.
They went on and on about the Benefits of Chocolate Milk in the Immediate PWO window.
I was like Really ~ let's add some Oreo Cookie's to that ~ now we're talking.
I've seen some Really Counterintuitive Horseshit in the Muscle Magazine's at times from Guest Authors................... JP
P.S.
Had to be back in like 2007 I think, can't remember exactly

Now I get it! I thought this was just some bs diet conceived to generate buzz or revenue, or both. I didn't realize it was the work of a Guest Author. Well, now I'm intrigued... I, obviously, tend to trust anyone holy enough to sit behind a microphone or keyboard who reaches a large audience. Seems like whenever I talk to friends about what they say, we all seem to have the same opinion. We can't all be wrong, right? If that isn't the definition of a 'fact' them I don't know what is!

I buy a couple of those mags when I fly to kill time.. 2 things I learned from those mags that I didn't know was grassfed beef has omega's (who'd a thunk red meat could be good for the joints) and I found a pretty good 3 day split routine on one of my DR flights that I molded into a great routine. so they aren't a total waste, I would say maybe 95% waste. I do find the ads for sustanadrol and decadrolinator pretty entertaining towards the back of the magazines lol, I wonder how many teens fall for that bs.

THIS! Man after seeing that documentary with all that flowing puss filled milk I couldn't drink milk for the longest. started drinking this far life brand. I've convinced myself that if I pay over 4 bucks a container they have to have taken the puss out.

I feel like I want to clarify, I drink water in the gym. I throw in milk at home, whenever I remember. Still its soo easy to drink.

I'm definitely NOT watching that doco. Isn't there an acceptable amount if foriegn material allowed in chocolate .. Happy Easter

It's high calorie. That's about it. I would go with normal. More than enough calories in white milk. Although this isn't the best or easiest method of gaining mass

Can someone help me please. I've been trying to do research on the best milks, and whether milk should be had at all. So many differing opinions it's painful. I do not like having my shakes with water, as I usually add in other things like greek yoghurt, peanut butter, sometimes mix berries and things like that. Also that I find myself pissing endlessly because I drink enough water as it as.

So my question is, if I'm having two shakes a day (at around 50G protein per shake), what milk is best to use? I was thinking almond milk, but many say it's processed and not natural. Then there's full cream but that's too fatty. Then there's skim milk but that is apparently processed too. I am just wanting some opinions on which milk is best to use on a regular basis.

I did gomad. I got strong, real fast and put on 50lbs in 3 months. But the fat gain was not worth it. However it did server as a learning process and sparked the process of me learning about real nutrition. I would never recommend it to anyone, but most times people have to learn on their own.

Gomad is better thought of as a concept than an actual meal plan and the concept is to consistently get in calories and protein throughout the day. Milk can do that but it could also make you sick..

I know guys who bulked by eating lots of bread dipped in olive oil throughout the day.. You gotta find something that works for you.

This is probably the best description of gomad I've heard.

One gallon of pasteurized milk per day? that sounds like a lot of bovine growth hormone and antibiotics and puss from infected udders which cows always have. This is why they have several of them for only one calf, they get their Udders infected pretty easily.

choccy trial for one month

I'll post the results. Over my 8 scrambled eggs and rice breaku

Chicken and rice lunch

And steak and rice dinner

Maybe a shake or two. Id like to add supplements and veggies and fruit.

Well see. I've lost a bit lately, got some sound advice and bm juice

Here we go,love a Perth training partner...male of female....

are you lifting to get big? compound lifts?

I see most guys at the gym lift like girls.. meaning they spend too much time on curls in front of the mirror and not enough time at the squat rack, bench seat, and clean mat.

also neglecting legs is popular among the juicehead crowd .. I bet if you worked your legs the way they should be worked you would gain 10-15 pounds fast.. i'm not impressed when I see a juicehead on 2 grams of gear a week with a big upper body who can't even squat 3 or 4 plates.

I offered a tiny dude at my gym to jump in with me when I was doing cleans and he didn't know how to do them... LEARN!!

I like to mix in 3 table spoons of powdered milk in my protein shake to get more milk protein and more carbs for training.
