Hey Vengefil again has any of you done intermediate fasting while on. I’m not fat but Dr says I have visceral fat and need to do fasting in order to get that shit off my organs. I tried man it’s fukin tough 23 hours 1 hour eating so insulin gets spiked 1/24 hours im thinking if I just don’t eat anything with high glycemic index it will keep me in ketosiss longer and let juice do it’s thing advice greatly appreciated
 
i believe you mean "intermittent fasting" unless intermediate is something new ive never heard of...

stevesmi and rickrock both have a good amount of experience with it.. steve has talked a ton about it on the forum so he is definitely who i would talk to about it...

I do IF regular like a few days per week 18/6 you should try it why not

yeah i follow time restricted eating everyday and I do prolong fasts too

its tough at first to fast cause you have made eating a reward/habit/addiction. once you get used to it then it becomes easy. also 23 hour fasting is great, but to burn visceral fat the benefits are just starting at 22 hours, so you need to go longer. try doing a 36 hour fast next. and work your way up. it will get easier and easier

also not eating things high glycemic index, long story short it will not work man. first off glycemic index and glycemic load are 2 different things .. 2nd off you must fast to be in deep ketosis. you can buy ketone strips and see for yourself. there is A LOT to learn on how the body works and A LOT of bro science on fasting and nutrition out there that it is hard to navigate and know whats real and not. luckily i put out content based on science and not bro science

and as far as fasting burning muscle, complete bro science! read the thread above to see why. here are 2 guys who have been fasting their whole lives, do they look like they are missing muscle?

yeah check out Steve's info on this. he has taught everyone on here a lot on fasting over the years. I feel really good while fasting, it was hard at first but its part of my regime now
 
Thanks I appreciate the guidance. I just started fasting just didn’t want to fuk up my cycle as it’s been awhile so I’ve been in a wheel chair and bed so now Immreafy to get back at it much appreciated all 👍🏼
 
Fasting is definitely tough at the beginning because all you think about is eating and not eating. It becomes much easier after the first couple times. You will stop thinking about food all the time.

well i’ve successfully completed 24 hour fast wasn’t to bad i think i’m going to try a 36 before i go right into 48 would eventually like to do 72 hours just to see if i can buy for ppl who haven’t tried fasting it’s awesome also started doing cold showers like to eventually do ice bath atleast 11 mins for the brown fat production but can tell you cold shower definitely more invigorating
 
Once you get to day 3 of fasting ur appetite will be gone and you will have so much energy you won’t know what to do with it

if you do a prolong fast don't plan out how many days you will do. just take it 1 day at a time. you run the show and you decide how long to do it. if you need to break the fast then break it. if you planned on 3 days and you feel great and want to go another day then go another day. keep it going

i recommend lots of water on a fast and you can drop in a pinch of salt and a pinch of cream of tartar.. this will help balance electrolytes

I agree i Like to add this to my routine like once a week or so. Maybe a 24 hour fast if you cant make that try 18 hour fast. I am going to try to 16 hour fast ED and add one 24 hour hit per week. I think you would be really pleased with results. amazing what the body will do in a fast.
 
i’m still working up to 36 hr Right now it’s 24hr eat from 6-7pm I’m ready to start new cycle so might only fast ice a week and try and get some good val’s as i’m bulking again but don’t want to put to much on as i’m over 50
