Yeah I am going to see what is possible because no doubt some of that equipment I have never used or seen it used, so good way for me to learn
Your going to have a growth spurt now thet you changed gyms. You will be more excited since you will be around stronger people who are higher caliber than Planet Fatness. 😂

Yeah that is true, planet fitness and the people in it never bothered me untill.... I started running gear and my whole mentality and mindset flipped and I wasn't even excited to train anymore, it was frustrating. I always would say who is gonna get in my way tonight or who is gonna stop and talk to me about my size tonight, it was to the point people wouldn't leave me alone anymore, I don't mind helping people but it became overwhelming.

I feel being around experienced lifters they know the drill and other than help oh an exercise will all leave each other alone. I can't take it being at planet anymore it's taking my foucs away and becoming a big distraction.

@ugfreak

I wanted to start out with a few coaching updates for everyone.

One we are keeping the fats higher. I feel overall better since doing so, recovery wise and body wise less aches & pains etc.

Gearhead wants me to cut down from 45 minutes of cardio into 30 minutes a session, still doing cardio 4-5 times a week. ( limit burn out possibilities)

he is prepping me in advance as he wants me to complete a recomp as our next target goal on the list of things to accomplish

Main foucs right now is dropping 20-26lbs cut down and onto the recomp phase.

I check in with him daily multiple times a day, I like he keeps me fully accountable everyday and makes sure I handle my end.

He really cares about my happiness, my health and my well-being. It is why I give him my very best and go all out to my limit for him and myself.

Having the right fit with a coach is an eye opening experience and puts so many things into perspective, absolute game changing experience, as I've never had a coach before, it was me solo for a long time. I am absolutely blessed and thankful for this opportunity working with him.

Diet overall has been going great I have been fully sticking with the diet, the plan and the foods.

Enjoy the update everyone!

Drop 20-26lbs?? 😮

Drop 20-26lbs?? 😮
Yeah man got to, when I was natural and shredded I was between 195lbs and 215lbs at my max weight, you think that is alot, years ago I went from 240lbs down to 170lbs I looked sick I was so skinny, but I did what was extreme and needed so I could lean gain my way into have size, shape and symmetry, 20-26lbs will put me around 200lbs to 205lbs.

The beauty of that is once I drop the weight and cut, the next cycle is gonna be a recomp/size/strength cycle. Got to see what I can achieve after dropping this body fat and weight.

Test/Primo/Npp/Var/Winny/proviron

Oh hell yeah bro!! No more purple shit stunting your growth!
Bro I didn't really realize how much I was being held back till I started seeing progression on other logs and seeing the movements and workouts others had been doing, no doubt my leg growth should see defined improvements having racks different bars actual Squat machines at the new gym etc.

When I went from using a hip sled to having to barbell squat, my legs started improving right away. My max weight isn’t going up and I’m not really trying to max my squats out. But my legs are showing serious signs of improvement

Yeah it makes a huge difference and I'm excited to try out the belt squat never used a machine like that before.

I wet my appointment up for this Monday, I called and spoke with the gym owner today, definitely gonna he my type of element.

He said they have a small dedicated community and majority are body builders trying to compete or power lifters and they even have a guy on staff who used to compete at the national level in bodybuilding ( my appointment and tour of the gym is with that guy)

Crazy one door closes another one opens and I feel you guys will see some crazy progression from me over the next 2 years at this gym.

Excited stuff man, your new gyms looks very good for what your after! Progress now I can see will just go 📈📈📈
Thats the plan brother, I wanted to make it as easy as possible for gearhead my coach and myself by arming us with a more hardcore gym where I can lift for strength I can lift for growth and symmetry, we got the diet down, only missing piece was the proper gym, it makes it easier for him to structure workouts for me now that I have the right equipment to use. I wanted to make sure we can both pull the weight and be successful together, I don't want to let myself down or him down, it's very important to me I make it no matter the cost and see my dream into reality.

I have to get big before I can go to a place like that. Haha
But you are already big. It’s going to be a major upgrade. And training in a gym where people are serious vs the typical public gym goers is going to be great!

Brother I appreciate the compliment, I truly don't see myself as big at all, it's weird alot people outside perspective say I am, when I look at myself I never see it 😂 I always take the approach of I'm average and have much more work to accomplish and do. Yes this change should be great and was much needed.

Well fuck I didn't realize the bar got lowered that much, I guess time Flys 😂 I really appreciate that brother means alot 🙏

I guess I just never look at myself as anything special I just put my head down and get to work, I've always had the mindset of I am average, I believe that helps my mindset overall because it drives me to be anything but average with my long term goal, I've always had a messed up perspective compared to others how they view me, I just see myself as average/ good genetics but nothing special.

Well you need to reward yourself for all of your efforts and remember that you are above average. Haha
For real, have you seen this country lately?

Good point, just very hard on myself brother you know how it goes, it's never enough even when it is enough, it is a messed up cycle of life in the iron game.

I am happy I can now report after my deload week I am back on the grind and switched from planet fitness into a real old-school bodybuilding and strength gym.

Everything is now falling into place. I have my deit nailed down, routine nailed down and a new gym to help ensure the best position for my success.

I can just feel a shift in my drive and my energy along with my mindset just being around other amateur body builders who are trying to compete and make it like I am, has 1000% lit a fire underneath me.

I am beyond happy and feel comfortable already in the new gym, I feel the progress and growth I can now make is limitless.

One thing even if I shrink in size arms just seem to round out grow big and shape up nicely, hopefully will come in handy to bring it all together when I compete. I finally have my way in with being at this new gym they know all the shows and promoters and which ones to enter and which ones to stay away from, it's all coming together and on the right track for when I do compete.

arm size is going up for sure I would not worry about this @Noah Wixx

overall the best thing is a home gym to be honest

eventually when you make more money and you get a bigger house definitely go with a home or garage gym nothing beats it

you're going to get great results the new gym looks really cool

overall the best thing is a home gym to be honest
As nice as that would be, I will share my mindset with you on this decision for me changing gyms.

Me being an amateur aspiring BB the switch into this gym has mutiple purposes, this gym allows me to locally network with people in the BB industry, let's me make connections with other BB who have competed in my state, it gives me an in on shows and which ones to attend and which ones I should avoid, building these local relationships allows me to further my BB vison and complete the steps needed to try and reach a pro card one day in men's physique.

The whole goal other than growth of my mind and body and maxing out my development with the right environment, networking is a big part of my plan so I can learn and soak in as much knowledge as possible to become a better BB

I'm glad to see that you're happy and you're pushing yourself
I am beyond happy and I really love being around like minded people all chasing a dream it is very inspiring and helps push me with my dream.

I wanna see if the new gym makes a difference
I can say so far mentality wise it has boosted my output and my energy for training, something about rusty plates older equipment the feel of an actual bar over a smith machine, plus being around other like minded people haw definitely made a quick impact on my drive already.

Meal prep looks absolutely amazing. Awesome that you got to switch gyms too. That should be a nice mental boost.
Absolutely already feeling the boost and it's reflecting in my drive and workouts

Hope everyone is doing well and the start of the week has been going good for all of you.

I have a good amount of updates for this post I am happy sharing them with everyone.

First order of business currently weigh 223.7lbs Gear says it is time for a recomp so we will be switching directions and heading into the recomp very soon.

Second order of business I tried T bar rows from the floor today as my new gym has the attachment you can slide the Barbell into for these types of rows.

This is my first time doing T bar rows so I wasn't sure what would happen, I ended up achieving 5 plates for reps. First attempt I hit 3 reps, I said ok let's adjust grip placement with my hands, got 5 reps, said ok let's adjust foot placement, hit 8 reps, I then said let's adjust foot, hand and body posture, once I did all 3 magic happened! I hit 5 plates for 4x10 (I didn't use the bar attachment the t-bar) for the rows, I did it old school and gripped the actual Barbell with my hands.

The last and final things I would like to say is this, my new gym has no ac, and man that tested me mentally in ways today I have never been tested, I wanted to puke half way through my workout and was exerting myself way passed my limits today, even on those t bar rows it was so hot after every heavy set I felt like I wanted to pass out, I had to rest against the rack. Thankfully I didn't pass out, boy I felt it wanting to happen as well as wanting to puke, important thing is I finished my entire workout today and did cardio after that.

I have noticed early on being at this new gym I really am going all out and pushing because now I have the ability for doing that.

Enjoy the update everybody!

Current weight 222.6

Today was my pull day, I only had time for back during the day since I got called into work early, I went back after work and finished bicep/forearm and cardio work, it was a late one it needed for be done. I cant leave the gym unfinished even if I have to go back it will get done.

This time around I decided to use the pad and the t-bar handle for my t-bar rows, I still prefer the floor vs utilizing the pad.

Having access with certain pieces of equipment has helped upgrade my workouts, for the first time I did BentOvr one arm barbell rows, I loved the activation and muscle contractions I got doing them.

I feel way more sore overall in my muscles since switching gyms, I think I'm training harder and now have access to things that hit my muscles differently and harder than before.

I could have done more than 100lbs on the one arm row, I didn't want to do to much to quickly, so I kept it at 100lbs.

Also I used liquid chalk for the first time ever, 100% a game changing tool, especially with it being so hot in my gym and sweating alot more.

Enjoy the update!

Do u grip the fat end of the bar for 1-Arm?
Yeah I was standing infront of the fat part of the bar so it was slightly behind my heels and off the the left or right slightly depending on which side I was working and pulling up from the elbow and squeezing at the top of the movement.

Sorry for my lack of updates here is what happened sunday night.

First thing is I am OK and the vehicle was fixable I didn't crash and I didn't hit anyone on the highway when I was driving.

Guy in front of me was hauling a trailer behind his pickup truck, all the sudden he swerved out of the left lane last minute, giving me no time to react, I hit a big chunk of iron laying in the left lane and my tire exploded on impact.

I got it fixed Tuesday at the cost of 474 usd, bent/ cracked rim tpms shot and needed a new tire mounted and balanced.

The important thing is I didn't get hurt and no one else did. I always carry my tools just incase so put the spare on and keep trucking into work.

Onto the positive I had a killer workout for my pull day today helped boost my mood.

The accident is what it is I'd rather be out of the money then out of my life, we Press on and continue the path towards the end goal of stepping on stage.

It is a very old-school gym and the owners are super nice, I was speaking with one today, he competed in the deadlift event at the Arnold classic in 2008, I loved hearing how Arnold was watching him loft and cheering him on super cool story.

I've noticed ton of growth mental and physical since switching.

nice to see you're not letting little things in life get in your way

damn that's a bad brake on that tire that's a lot of money at the piss away

I've seen many accidents caused by similar things you are lucky

glad to see that you're okay buddy nice workout keep it up

sometimes life throws crazy things at you but you're dedicated

nice update sorry for the little inconvenience but sounds like you got everything fixed and you're ready to roll

Could have been worse - glad you're ok
Absolutely it could have been, one of those happened so fast no time for reaction.

Always keep the tools handy, one minor setback and then back into the journey we go.

Yeah brother crazy thing is the next day same lane on the hwy same spot I git that iron, I had to dart out of that lane again because a big metal red tool box with tools spilled on the hwy was laying in the road in the left lane, it's getting ridiculous

Omg man! Hope there aren’t any motorcycles on that road
It's out main highway which top to bottom of the state is under road construction right now so it's fucking horrible with shit on the high way
