First cycle – Second iteration. Destination : roadmap vascularity for the summer

Two weeks ago, I ended the first iteration of my first PED cycle using testosterone cypionate for 12 weeks + anavar 40 mgs for 8 weeks.

For context about the journey from a 135 lbs road cyclist to a 160-165 lbs natural weight lifter to now, a 180 lbs beginner in the enhanced world, please see my first log: https://www.evolutionary.org/forums...o-fitness-my-first-ever-ped-cycle-log.103142/

The goal of this first iteration was to understand my responsiveness to testosterone so I took it slow. One compound, low dose. Same strict diet and training regimen as I've been doing for almost 7 years now. And it’s a very good thing I did take it slow! Everything went through the roof on an average of only 160 mg per week. And this is where I had to take a step back to look into making an adjustment before jumping on the second iteration. The best thing is I saw results with such a low dose. No need to push the needle further as i want to stay athletic to enjoy my favorite sports during the summer.

Thanks to the evo fam and @LevButlerov @stevesmi in the final stretch, I was able to make sense out of all this. I really was surprised by how little dose I had to take in order to see results.... and possible future side-effects had I not followed my blood closely.

First cycle :

- On average 160 mg of test cyp per week. Injections every 3 days. See above. For 12 weeks.
- 40 mg of anavar on training days for 8 weeks.
- Push, pull, legs, arms, rest, rest, repeat.
- Completely quit alcohol on day 1.
- Complete withdrawal of my antidepressants. This was a b1tch for the last three weeks and definitely slowed down my progress a lot. But it's for the best.

My morning weight went from 164 lbs to 180 lbs.

Outtake of the cycle:

Essentially there is no need to go on 300 mg + on a first cycle if you didn’t even get a blood sample with such a saturation beforehand. i think that the 6 years of rigid training and food monitoring were the key to being able to build this amount of muscles with an easy 160 mg cruise cycle and truly access how my body reacts. Keeping simple compounds at lower dose is a great way to avoid randomness in the results at the start and be able to adjust on the fly, as the blood is only being interfered with one or few compounds.

Time for the second iteration.

12 weeks to destination : roadmap vascularity for the summer

Goal :

From 180 lbs, how much can I keep while going back to having a road map of veins? I excel with cutting. I’ve always been very vascular and enjoy the structure of a cut. I will really enjoy this if I can stay injury free.

PEDs

Since I know I aromatize like crazy, there is no need for me to push testosterone for no reason. I'll be going for:
  • 140 mg of test cyp a week.
  • Up to 300 mg of masteron to fill the anabolic load.
  • Last 6 weeks:
    • anavar (40mg a day)
    • winstrol (40 mg a day).
    • And if I really want to mess up my sleep, clen (25-50 mcg a day). There might be zero need for this....
I've been using these orals in the past as a cyclist so i know how i manage them. Looking forward to see how masteron can help me in the process.

My goal is a 170 lbs athletic dry look for the summer and for mountain biking. Let's see how it goes.

Because my estrogen went nuts on 160 mg average, I take 5 mg of aromasin per week on my reduced 140 mg testosterone dose in an effort to get back to a better level. I will get blood work done in 4 weeks once the masteron will have reached full saturation to see where everything is. This will give me a great baseline to compare to when i will get my blood done every four weeks until the cycle ends. After that, i'll go back to TRT and will have great pre and post blood work analysis to build up my second cycle this winter. This winter cycle will really be all-in with an effort to grow my legs.

Diet:

This is the sample. I will add what is missing to the last meal to complete my calories. My goal is to get to 225 protein and an average of 2,400 calories for now. I will also add horse meat every three days for a nice treat.

1746828813774.webp

Supplements

- TUDCA : 250 mg twice a day;
- Magnesium : 250 mg a day;
- Multi-vitamins;
- Vitamin B3
- Fish oil twice a day.

Training split

Shoulders/Chest/Arms
Legs and abs + Glutes
Back
Rest + Abs
Repeat

I hurt my ankle three weeks ago, I wasn’t really able to do my daily cardio since. But my goal would be to pull the calorie deficit from the cardio at the beginning with my usual 90 minutes’ walk + 20 minutes of skipping with the jump rope. I will decrease my calories only when I’ll hit a plateau.

I'm also looking to invest in a training app such as RP. Seems very legit. @BeMe do you like this app so far?

@haldencapital EVO family support for your new log, you look amazing as always :D ripped and big. Want to see you really lean out on this cutter.

Test masteron and winstrol with anavar will need more than tudca, I would get n2guard in your place.

@LevButlerov thanks man!

Will definitely increase my intake in supplements, N2GUARD seems like a great option indeed.

As far as cardio goes, the only thing i can sustain is walking. The ankles can't have any sort of impact yet. It's been over a month and the tendons are still fragile. I had a nasty fall while hiking and wasn't able to do any walking for 2 weeks. Inflammation was still very high at week 3. Week 4 now, i can walk without too much post-inflammation... One day at a time. Mobility was non-existant for 3 weeks so leg training was minimal. I can squat again now, so at least there no more impact on training beside the cardio and my usual outdoor activities.

how much bpc/tb you planning to recover?

I would add n2guard for sure, it's worth it :D

This will give me a great baseline to compare to when i will get my blood done every four weeks until the cycle ends. After that, i'll go back to TRT and will have great pre and post blood work analysis to build up my second cycle this winter. This winter cycle will really be all-in with an effort to grow my legs.

This is the sample. I will add what is missing to the last meal to complete my calories. My goal is to get to 225 protein and an average of 2,400 calories for now. I will also add horse meat every three days for a nice treat.

@haldencapital Very nice start to this log. Your last one was awesome. So I'm looking forward to seeing this one as well.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

@haldencapital EVO family support for your new log, you look amazing as always :D ripped and big. Want to see you really lean out on this cutter.

Test masteron and winstrol with anavar will need more than tudca, I would get n2guard in your place.

Are you able to do cardio now?
Damn near will be running the same thing lol.

@haldencapital you are a pro and look amazing.
how much bpc/tb you planning to recover?

I would add n2guard for sure, it's worth it :D

@LevButlerov I've been looking into BPC a lot for the ankles. I just wasn't quite sure about how to proceed. If it was my shoulders I would understand that injecting in the shoulders would be adequate. But.. the ankles?! I really don't see how or where I could inject near them loll

And also, need to find a legit source. Peptides seems like a sea of scammers now.

@haldencapital You are incredible man. Your last log was fantastic. I can't wait for this one.

@stevesmi thank you, I am really looking forward to the next few months and see how I can try and unlock the next level.

@haldencapital Bro, you got a very solid prison physique. I can tell you got some good size and vascularity on your frame.

@BodyMonster34 I got a few loose screws so maybe one day the prison physique will come handy 😂😂
@haldencapital Bros, you got a sick looking physique, you huge and Vascular at the same time.
@haldencapital Very nice start to this log. Your last one was awesome. So I'm looking forward to seeing this one as well.

@haldencapital you can inject shoulders and quads sub q light or closer to the knee. Both BPC and TB500 are fine you can microdose 250mcg/500mcg ed.
Legit peptides? Only use Umbrella labs they are USA made not China crap https://umbrellalabs.is

@haldencapital amazing start to log bro....looking forward to an incredible log..........

Should be good run

I don't really like technology when it comes to sports and nutrition because it's easy to get addicted to noisy data but I got myself a 14-days trial of macrofactor. So far it's just too much and overwhelming despite being easy to use. I'll likely use 10% of it's capabilities but I don't want to spend 15 minutes a day in an app and waste my time so I'll just add my food and track my weight there.

@haldencapital is this FULL day of food here?

did your protein drop LOL NO!!! @BeMe :P

They did! lol Honestly, this first cut on anabolics is more difficult than I imagined when it comes to weight and food intake.

I already have so little carbs to play with at around 300 a day. With fat around 50, it leaves room for 215 protein. I don't see how I can increase my protein to the level of when I was eating 3300 calories a day. I try 2600 calories a day to begin with and see how much weight i will lose.

But..... that being said.....

The tricky part is that with the masteron i feel like i won't lose much weight. But instead will experience a possible body composition change. My incline bench felt like nothing today and I've been using masteron only for 3 weeks or so. I am at a point where i think the scale will fool me into thinking i'm not losing weight despite the lower calories. But that in fact i'm still building muscle like a beginner lifter and could potentially lose fat and build muscle at the same time. Too early to tell. I leave 2 weeks of stability and will analyze the data after.

Your protein levels are fine @haldencapital you're the best already :D

Update. Last post was May 14th, when I got called last minute for duty in Northern Canada (Northwest Territories). I basically flew out this morning after 10 consecutive 16h shift. I'm wrecked. I wasn't able to train at a gym, but i brought resistance bands with me. 20 minutes of bands every day is all I was able to do.

Food was very bad on the camp site. Certainly didn't eat the protein intake required to sustain those working hours. Sleep was minimal, sleeping in a camp with 12 other persons with only 8 hours before the next shift.

I got home early today. Don't have the energy to take pictures of the "progress", or should i say the lack of it. I was able to salvage i think. I look the same. I weigh the same. Just a bit fluffly from the bad food i had there.

So, i guess it's back to square one. I should be down 2-3 pounds but life being what it is, i did what i could in the conditions I had to deal with.

I cannot wait to eat my chicken and rice :) Get a good night of sleep and get back to training. I'll keep posting when I get all my energy back. For now, i'll go to sleep and will propably sleep for 24h straight!

I cannot wait to eat my chicken and rice :) Get a good night of sleep and get back to training. I'll keep posting when I get all my energy back. For now, i'll go to sleep and will propably sleep for 24h straight!
@haldencapital chicken and rice is perfect but don't forget those veggies too. sleep is good. i wish i could sleep in but i always get up early

No big deal. I'd loose that in a weekend and gain it back in a day or two

@haldencapital Bros that crazy. It like you being sent off to Alaska. Post up some pictures of the frozen tundra.

They did! lol Honestly, this first cut on anabolics is more difficult than I imagined when it comes to weight and food intake.

@haldencapital masteron is a great hradener. you will get in a lot of benefits from it while on it. but when you come off it goes away

@haldencapital Seems like you have an exciting journey ahead of you. Hopefully they at least pay you a good salary for such a crazy work schedule.

@haldencapital wow that is like flying out to the Artic. I'm sure it's super cold, even this time of the year but I'm sure it's also beautiful. Make sure you get some pictures.

@haldencapital It's understandable to feel like you're back at square one, but you've likely gained resilience and adaptability from this experience. Once you're rested and back in your routine, you'll probably feel more in control.

Welcome back brother 🙏

Glad you back

Thanks for the kind words guys. I've been sleeping a lot since i came back. Few light trainings here and there to keep the blood flowing. Today is my first day back to the grind.

I'll try to post some picture before the weekend and see where we are at with the physique. It's not going as planned, but sometimes life takes over. I don't expect to work 160 hours in 10 days anytime soon unless of an emergency. Surprisingly, despite the stress and the bad food at the camp/job site, i'm still at 182-183 lbs. Masteron really do helps right now with keeping it tight.

Absolutely brother, not sure about you man the pumps i get from winny good lord its insanely awesome!

@Noah Wixx winny is not yet introduced for me. I'm waiting for my June 11th bloodwork to add it to the stack. :)

I just started it last week, even 20mg 45 minutes before the gym, pumps ate god tier 😅

Back and chest today. Despite the non-existant progress in terms of fat loss dur to working schedule, i still managed to keep most of my size despite the bad food i had to eat during my short term affectation up North. 182-183 pounds this morning. exactly where i started. I had three good nights of sleep after i came back from camp site and I'm eager to see if i can get the routine on point next.

I'm so glad to be back home in the mountains and being surrounded by such beautiful nature. Very grateful right now to live in this environment. 2 pictures i took this afternoon during my 90 minutes walk after my workout.

I really enjoy my workouts so i don't take much posing pictures at the moment. But here quick snapshots i took after the workout. Upper chest looking decent and defined but the gear makes me hairy more and more everyday. If i were to push grams of this stuff, man, I would be like chewbacca. :ROFLMAO:

@Noah Wixx woah! Even with only 20 mg! I can't wait to get on it! I hope it won't be over the top, at the point where it hurts and bring more inconveniences than benefits. I like a good pump 👿

@Npcclassicphysique champ yes, good food only.

- 3 eggs + 500 ml egg white in morning, apple
- 1 cup oats + whey pre-workout
- 150 gr of chicken breast and 160 gr of rice twice a day
- 200 gr of Greek yogurt with cinnamon and strawberries
- broccoli and salad daily.

I don't seem to lose weight at all at 2400 calories. I guess the masteron ramp up builds muscles and I keep growing. The scale doesn't seem to be a good indicator right now. I used to have an easy time cutting when I was natty. But the addition of the gear at this weight (I've never been this heavy) brings complexity. I'll be slowly decreasing my food intake to 2000 calories and see if I can bring the scale down a few pounds.

Trial and error. It's a good thing I'm not competing 😂

@BodyMonster34 i used to live in downtown Toronto a few years ago. Very different but it has its own charm. But for someone who loves the outdoors like me, city living sometimes seems similar to a prison. i don't miss the insane real estate prices either :ROFLMAO:

@ceo thank you. I'm not a huge hockey fan but since Edmonton made it, i make sure to be part of their potential first cup in what... 35 years?! That would be nice !

@ROIDDERS Thanks 👍🏻 It all starts with the mind. That is the most powerful tool we have. Traveling for work is not something I enjoy the most but it makes me feel grateful when I'm back home and can cook, train and grow in the environment I live in. 🍀

Yeah i noticed right away the benefits of winstrol, could be the way my coach has me take it, i do 45 minutes pre trianing, he has me chew the tablet and let dissolve under tounge for sublingual absorption, lucky for me the belgias winstrol has zero bad taste super easy to do.

Im about to also add in 25mg var with the 20mg winstrol pre trianing as well, looking for that synergy effect, pump about to be stupid lol.

Weekly update.

Morning weight now down to 178 - 179 from 181 - 183.

I feel flat as hell. Honestly, by the feeling of it, i think i might have cut the testosterone too much. I was over-aromatizing at 200mg a week. Now that I'm saturated at a lower level of 140 mg a week, i look completely deflated. My bloodtest is on June 11th. I really wanted to see where my estrogen would fall at 140mg a week before doing any adjustement. 200mg was a 70 reading on estrogen. If 140mg yields below 30 i might crank it up a bit because i don't know what to expect really but i feel like i've lost a lot of size despite the weight being the around the same. I was looking very tight at 200mg a week and 70 estrogen... Like my profile picture. Now i just look flat and weak :)

Maybe I should just stop being a b*tch and run with a high estrogen level during my cycles... Am I tripping? lol First bulk and cut cycle. Lots to learn for next time.

New split :

Day 1: chest (incline BB press, flies, decline DB press), shoulders (mostly side laterals) and triceps (skullcrusher, dips). Abs
Day 2 : Legs (squats, legs extension, curls, split-squats). If leg press available, this is prioritized to save my back.
Day 3 : back (one arm DB row to grow my weaker and less develped lat, 25 lbs weighted pull-ups, v-bar row or Meadows rows (RIP John) and biceps (curls)
Day 4: rest/abs
Repeat

Mountain biking season has started. By being an ex-competitive cyclist I know that this means I will lose most of my leg muscles again this summer. I just cannot help it. No leg picture for today, i need to shave. With 2 inches of hair, there is nothing to see there lol

Diet : 2000-2100 calories as of now. With 235 gr of protein. Chicken, greek yogourt, ground beef, egg whites, whey. 35 gr of fats mostly eggs and olive oil. Rest is carbs on pre-workout meal such as oatmeal and whey.

I don't plan, unless an emergency, to work 16h a day anymore. So, caloric deficit should start now. 6 weeks late but better now than never.

Really waiting for blood levels in about 10 days to adjust the testosterone. After the results are in, i'll get the orals and start running them for the last 8 weeks. I expect most of the results to come in this 2 month time. I will keep using 300 mg of masteron a week until the end of the 8 weeks.

Pictures of this morning, no pump, no food, no filter. :/ Nothing too impressive. Crazy how the testosterone adjustment i made seemed to have killed the train from going...

In the pictures, you do look more flat for sure, @haldencapital have you modded your food intake? I see fairly low protein.

You can bump test, how much do you want to go up?

@LevButlerov yes, food intake is down a bit. Started at 2500 calories and was still gaining weight, 2300 calories was maintenance and the only way to lose weight was to put it down to 2000-2100. Landing near 172 - 175 lbs while full would be ideal... But again, I was looking better at 183 lbs . 😅 My mind doesn't comprehend.

I mean, the only reason I brought the test down to 140mg from 200 was the 70 estrogen reading I had at the end of the bulk. The adjustment I might do will mostly be data dependent after my June 11 blood work. If I got room I will stay in the middle 140 < 175 > 200.

But again, how bad can a high estrogen be for 10-16 weeks. It might had been better staying at 200 mg a week with a high estrogen and come down after the cut. I'm gaining a lot of experience for sure. These chemicals are very complex.

Tonight I fueled up on lots of carbs. Way over maintenance calories just to see how my body will react. It might just be glycogen depletion. If that is the case, I won't worry too much. I'll be full once I've reach my desired weight.

@haldencapital

There are a lot of guys who like to keep their estrogen elevated. I personally am not a fan of doing that, the risks of high estrogen is very complex, and a lot of things can happen that you may not be aware of.

No need to go high Estro any more than those who wanna crush it. But some is useful. It's about a ratio

@stevesmi @Mobster thank you guys for your input! Much appreciated. After my 300 gr of carbs last night, i look full this morning. It was most likely depletion. I'll get used to it. I was always depleted when I was natural so i didn't see real difference between my bulks and cuts. :D

I'll just stick with the plan and will be full and round once i'm done shedding a few pounds and start eating maintenance again.

Time for early morning cardio on the mountain bike.

@haldencapital

@ceo my splits tend to be old school but I like it. And if I don't enjoy it, I won't adhere to it. Next winter I'm finding a good gym to train legs. 😁 Mine is missing a few pieces of equipment I like such as belt squat.
Looking great man! Just try to keep the estrogen in the normal range. Upper end of normal is fine but you don't want it getting above that.
@Masonic Bodybuilder thank you for your input. I'm really eager to get my blood work done next week and how the estrogen evolved after my dose adjustment 6 weeks ago. 🙏🏻

- Complete withdrawal of my antidepressants. This was a b1tch for the last three weeks and definitely slowed down my progress a lot. But it's for the best.
Congrats on getting off the meds. I too was on anti-depressants for 4-5 years prior to me taking up trainging again recently. Best decision i ever made to drop them. I didnt actually have any issues coming off. The focus and enjoyment brought by lifting seemingly countered any potential withdrawal issues i could have experienced.

@rustle admirable, congratulations 👏🏻 getting off after such a long period is remarkable.

Same here. If I didn't have sports and weightlifting in my life when I was at my darkest moments in life, I wouldn't be able the write these lines. I'm an extremist and I resorted to bad places and substances to numb the pain. I thought I was strong but the demons in my head wouldn't let go. Lifting, even if it was sporadically during these periods, gave me hope and something to hold on to when everything around was falling apart. ❤️

I too took to alcohol most days, not to the point of being drunk, but it'd be a few beers or wines each night. Not a healthy way to live. I have a young family and i intend on being around for a long time to support them. I need to be the best version of myself so turning to training, eating right, dropping the anti-depressants and going sober is all on the right path to getting there.

Something about being at the gym for an hour or 2 each day is just so centreing and calming. Just removes any other *noise* from your life. It's been a real game changer for me.

Congrats once again on all your achievements. You look amazing and your dedication is something you deserve to (and should) be extremely proud of!

@rustle This is it ! ☝🏻Leading by example. I encourage you to keep on that path. ⭐ I certainly am very dedicated to certain aspects of my life but am lacking severely in others. In the last two years, I didn't have the awareness you have, and my mental health and my actions took/pushed the ones I loved the most away from me. We live, we learn, we become better after every chapter. Having balance isn't always easy, but aspiring to a greater good is a goal 🎯

Blessings to you and your family. 🙏🏻

And thanks for the kind words. 🙂

@Ulter thanks 👍🏻 doing my best with the little knowledge I have but more importantly, want to keep the process enjoyable. Evo family helps me a lot with guidance ❤️

@ceo my splits tend to be old school but I like it. And if I don't enjoy it, I won't adhere to it. Next winter I'm finding a good gym to train legs. 😁 Mine is missing a few pieces of equipment I like such as belt squat.

@Masonic Bodybuilder thank you for your input. I'm really eager to get my blood work done next week and how the estrogen evolved after my dose adjustment 6 weeks ago. 🙏🏻
