GLOW Peptide (Question)

SemiFunctionalHuman

V.I.P.

I was wondering if anyone has used the peptide "GLOW" for healing eczema type of skin issues? I started getting eczema in my early 20s never had it before in my life and I've been going to dermatologists for a decade and have been on all kinds of medications and trial injections etc etc and nothing worked or if it did it was temporary for a week or two and then it would just come back. When I started getting into lifting I was dieting and I found out myself that it was food I was eating that was causing it so I took out gluten and dairy and I can heal up pretty good but I gotta be super careful or it comes back and there's some scaring and whatever else now form over the years that I'd like to reduce if possible.

You can see here the scaring how they look currently they are healing up slowly, my hand just broke out today from something I ate yesterday.

I've been seeing a lot about this GLOW peptide and I was wondering if anyone here has any real experience with it healing skin issues maybe you have some before and after pictures? Maybe someone here who understands how it works more and could recommend if it's worth trying? Maybe someone knows how long to take it for what dosing would look like?

Man that looks rough. In used to work with a fella that would get bad eczema. I was carnivore at the time and I tried to get him to try it. He gave it an effort and it did seem to help. Seems like if you know it was something you ate your could eliminate the things that cause breakouts and maybe at least it would happen less often and less severe. I believe there was a log about this issue or something like it. Maybe I can find it. It wasn’t long ago

It was actually dermatitis, but he did have success. Give it a try and log it!

I'm not sure GLOW can help here but you can try @SemiFunctionalHuman but have you considered doing fasting?

The GHK-Cu and possibly KPV part of KLOW mayyyybe will help with this but I'd try fasting and then reintroduce foods you're pretty sure agree with you and start from there.

Have you talked to a dermatologist about this? It would be a good idea to see what a doctor has to say but peptides won't hurt.

It certainly can't hurt but I'm not sure it's going to help you 100%. It may help you maybe 40%.

Yeah it's a pain in the ass, this is actually really good compared to how it's been and these pictures don't even do justice cause lighting. Yeah watching what I eat helps for sure I try to keep it basic now but I still mess up a little or I'll try to reintroduce diary too soon and it looks like that worked well for him and pretty quick too, thanks.

I'm not sure GLOW can help here but you can try @SemiFunctionalHuman but have you considered doing fasting?
Okay and just like fasting until noon sometimes but I've read or seen videos maybe about like 7 day fasts? Are you talking about something like that that's a longer duration? Honestly if you have any suggestions to try naturally I'd be open to trying pretty much anything at this point. I think I messed up my stomach from my partying days like weeks on ecstasy/molly without eating properly and I need to like reset my gut, rebuild lining something along the lines. I've tried to do cleanses like renew life cleanse smart 30 day and I feel like it kinda helped.

I've read it takes like 6 months to fully heal the gut and I don't think I've really locked in and probably ate something by accident that had gluten within the 6 month period and I've read that can like completely reset everything and have to like start the process again from step one. Not sure how true this is.

KLOW would be a better option im assuming as the KPV is good to treat eczema and allergies. worked well for me and cleared my skin
Okay thanks man. You gotta change your name dude. I'd rather be anybody in the worlds left nut then that meatheads.

Do you have any photos maybe before and after?

The GHK-Cu and possibly KPV part of KLOW mayyyybe will help with this but I'd try fasting and then reintroduce foods you're pretty sure agree with you and start from there.
Okay thanks any suggestion on like a fasting cycle I guess? Like above are you thinking something like a week? Is it just to like let everything exit the body and reset?

Have you talked to a dermatologist about this? It would be a good idea to see what a doctor has to say but peptides won't hurt.
I was going to one regularly they had me on heavy medications for like kidney transplant patients and heavy stuff like that then trial injections for stuff like Dupixent and nothing worked really longer than a week or two. I started to feel like a guinea pig and was getting tired of all the appointments and driving back and forth and getting no results so I just quit going when I found out it was related to my gut.. I feel like they aren't trying to find a root cause to the problem but just giving me stuff that hides/masks it on the top level but isn't doing anything at the root level. I healed my skin within weeks of finding this out more than any of them did in a decade. I've given up on doctors and the health care system in general to be honest. Unless I'm dying I'm probably not going to see anyone. lol

Okay so basically something to maybe experiment with but don't expect miracles.

Okay yeah I've watched a few videos about it, I'm gonna have to do some more research into this one tomorrow.

That looks like dyshidrotic eczema on your hands. I used to get this too. DO keep out dairy and gluten. Small quantities of high quality isolate whey should be OK.
Also, before the breakout, can you recall if you touched any cleaning products, chemicals, metals, or if it was hot weather and there was moisture/ sweat on your hands? Dyshidrotic eczema is also often called contact eczema because it can be triggered by touching certain substances that trigger inflammation. Try and also bring down stress levels & general inflammation if you can. Anti-histamine will give you some immediate relief from the itch. I know it’s tough but try not to pick them as it causes them to spread 🙁
If you can always manage sweat/ body temp & wear gloves when handling any kind of chemicals/ cleaning products, money, metals, etc. it’ll really help to prevent flare-ups. I haven’t had a flare-up in ages since making these changes.

At least you tried

Honestly I don't think it's going to cure the situation but it could help quite a bit so it's definitely worth a shot. You have nothing to lose.

Bros, I'm not sure if the GLOW peptide stack will help you . Hopefully it can help.

Red light therapy is another thing you could try (for the active eczema and the scars). I had atopic eczema as a kid, which apparently puts you more at risk of developing dyshidrotic eczema down the track because the immune system is more reactive.
Give the antihistamines a try to bring down the active flare-up. Especially since the season/ weather is changing which can be a tigger too.

Careful eating makes more sense
Yeah I don't fully understand the science behind fasting etc never looked into it much but I know a lot of cultures/religions do it. Might be worth a shot but I agree sticking to like strict rice and chicken with a probiotic might be a better option long term but maybe take longer to heal/reset possibly. I don't know. lol

I've had biopsies done and all of that they say it's atopic dermatitis which is just basic eczema but who knows. Yeah I think after time and it heals I will be able to re-introduce the whey I tired recently but I think the gut was already too damaged still. I work with my hands on my jetski and get all kinds of fluids and stuff on them but nothing really irritates it like that. Right now I'm using gabapentin for the itch and it's working good. The hardest part is not itching sometimes it's so intense I take a roughest towel I have and grind up and down on my elbows or hands like sand paper it's the only way to get the itch to go away sometimes. It's like there is pressure building up under the skin whatever it trying to come out so I rub it with the towel until ti's broken open then it's a instant release and all the pressure is gone but then it's broken open, weeping, stinging etc etc. This is the worst thing to do but it's so intense sometimes I can't help myself.

I try to wear gloves when I do cleaning and my hands are gonna be exposed to water for a while but the sweat is harder. My body temp is always high and my hands are clammy like 70% of the day which doesn't help it at alll. :cautious: So most of the time it's okay if I control my diet but if I forget to check a label and I assume it's good I can screw up.

Like a easy screw I could remember was grabbing beef jerky once thinking oh it's just protein little do I do know half of it has gluten in it, so I gotta make sure I read everything.

yeah unfortunately that is how it goes. Just a lot of trial and error
At least you tried
Yeah exactly slowly getting it figured out myself now.

Honestly I don't think it's going to cure the situation but it could help quite a bit so it's definitely worth a shot. You have nothing to lose.
Okay I appreciate it. That is kinda my outlook maybe I heal my gut a bit and stay away from the gluten/dairy for a few months and see how well it cleans up then maybe glow or more so GHK-Cu could give me benefits to make the already damaged skin look better. Might be a log one day. :)

Bros, I'm not sure if the GLOW peptide stack will help you . Hopefully it can help.
Thanks for the input bro.

Our resident expert on fasting is @stevesmi and he has a log for fasting here ➡️ Fasting and Lifestyle Log
If @Alice_In_Ironland was correct it may not be diet related but you can try fasting for 36 hours and then 72 hours regardless and report back to us.
Okay I'm gonna take a read while I have my coffee. I truly feel it's gut related. After this experience I feel a lot of issues stem from the gut and healing from the inside out is a thought that's getting stuck in my head more and more everyday. Gut, gut and gut. haha. Once the skin is broken out though and open the chemicals do effect it differently obviously but when I had my bikes I had the issues also, I had a 09 zx6r, 2012 honda shadow, 2009 wr450 blue plated I did all the work myself pull it apart have oil, grease, brake cleaner and everything else on my hands it wouldn't make them break any more they then normally were so I don't think the chemicals play a major role but they don't help for sure.

Yeah I was going to the dermatologist and doing this frequently but it didn't really help either maybe I didn't do it long enough. I can't recall exactly how long I did it but it was for like 6 months maybe. Yeah I never had it as a kid but I guess it's more common in children than adults and I couldn't imagine being as child and having it, I like to think I have a good pain tolerance and it bothers me a lot. Yeah I think I still have some antihistamines I'll take some. Thanks.

Hey bro I just joined yesterday and was looking at UGfreak cause I wanted to order their Cjc + Ipam blend but it’s out of stock rn, anyone know when they plan to restock?
hey man so i would email them, nobody on here is going to be able to answer that question

For gut issues we need to start you on dailly gut health habits. Psyllium husk, apple cider vinegar with mother and digestive enzymes. Currently I'm taking 30g psyllium husk daily, 3 tbsp organic apple cider vinegar (w/ the mother) with each meal, and 3 capsules of the digestive enzymes recommended to me by @stevesmi called Digest Gold (see pic). I don't recommend you start with those doses but 10g psyllium husk, 1 tbsp ACV (w/ the mother) and one capsule of Digest Gold or a really good probiotic 30 billion CFU minimum with each meal should get you started.

On top of this the intermittent fasting with whole foods reintroduced over time should help as well with plenty of water (double what you're taking now). Avoid coffee, cigarettes, alcohol and spicy foods altogether.

Okay yeah I don't drink anymore or smoke tobacco. I'm a weed smoker but been cutting back. I will grab some of this stuff and give it a shot. So just psyllium husk like this stuff would be fine then and thanks man. @HarleyGuy

Another thing you could try is BPC157. I use this twice daily and seen a lot of improvement in digestion and inflammation. I didn’t start using it with the intention to improve eczema flare-ups, but I haven’t had one (and my skin has been very calm) since starting it.

This looks fine but you'll pay a lot less at a Bulk Barn store or Costco etc. This is a 1lb bag so try and get through that in a months time if you're able. Split dosing of 10-15g throughout the day with meals. Next up source some Apple Cider Vinager (with "the mother") and most importantly the probiotics.

Vape pen, blunts, bong, gummies? What is your ROA for THC?

Okay thanks I appreciate the info. I'll definitely do some research and I hope your skin stays calm and manageable. Wouldn't wish skin issues on my worst enemy so glad you've been able to sort it out. :)

Okay yeah i'll check both places for sure. I still have some apple cider vinegar with the mother as I was trying that alone at one point so I'll grab some husk and digestive enzymes digest gold to give it a shot.

Bongs only, smoke the odd joint and I might grab a vape cart once in a blue moon like very 3 months or something I get bored and grab one to hit before I smoke my bongs but I hate them and they are rough on the lungs so it's very rare probably not even every 3 months like twice a year.

you can try GLOW but ultimately see a dermatologist
Thanks man. I've tried that route. I'm over doctors they're too buys and just show pills at you to try and never truly wan to find the root cause. Well most of them at least it's hard to find a real good doctor.

Yes for sure, it can definitely help so it's worth a shot.
Yeah I'm gonna try healing from the gut for a month or two see how it goes then I might try experimenting with some of the peptides maybe last case scenario kinda deal or maybe healing with the gut for a few months to clean it up and maybe reduce it like 70-80% maybe I could use GLOW or GHK-Cu alone maybe to get last 30-20% cleared up. I guess time will tell have to give it a few months. If I do end up tying any of them I will post a log up.

Ok let's keep this to a minimum as it can reduce testosterone by a clinically significant %. It can also increase estrogen as well.

Hopefully it works for you.
Thanks man, fingers crossed.
yeah or kLOW stack
Yeah that one seems interesting too, gonna have to sit down for a few days and watch some videos about everything in that one still.

Yeah I was reading that like 30-50% in certain people maybe why my blood work is on the lower end but my estrogen is low also? Iunno I've been pretty much a daily smoker for 15 years but I have cut back a lot and when I start getting into the health kick and lifting I cut back or keep it for nights I can't sleep.

I assumed I'm probably on the lower end due to the daily smoking but I have no clue. Nonetheless I'll be cutting back for sure.

Thanks man, fingers crossed.

Yeah that one seems interesting too, gonna have to sit down for a few days and watch some videos about everything in that one still.

The only real thing I see wrong with THC is the cravings it might give you for sh*t food unless you're so used to it as a daily user you can keep that at bay. Also if it's not used at night for bed it could affect your workouts. I don't suggest an indica before a workout obviously and some can still work out on sativa.

I replied to your bloods in your log here you lucky guy with those natty bloods LOL https://www.evolutionary.org/forums/threads/training-nutrition-lifestyle-log.110275/#post-2042776

Sounds like a plan.

Yeah sometimes get the munchies but could be for anything not just like a sweets craving just hungry in general could lead to over eating if I was really crying to cut for sure. Yeah I don't smoke anything before a workout normally I know I won't give it 100% if I do. I have before and I can I just feel a little lazy when I do.

Okay cool yeah I don't know anything about blood work never really had a reason to learn anything about it. I thought I was in the normal-low range because the "testosterone free" but yeah I have no idea how they all really work together yet.

Let us know how it goes.
Will do, will do an update here after I try the stuff @HarleyGuy recommended.

KLOW is a mix of 4 peptides all in 1
Yeah I was looking into it and it sounds awesome.

Lot's of information then weeding through what's accurate and what isn't, I find I always have mixed opinions or more questions then answers after researching stuff.
Yeah we're all different. That's the thing. We all have different wants and needs.
