6 hours. Usual up and down, and up and fkn down 😖

Training
Rest day. Need it before Squats tomorrow too.

Daily thoughts
Nice working in the home office today. Just resting and trying to heal the various aches and pains that a day doing heavy singles of anything inevitably brings.

One thing I am trying to do is get the idea out of my head that when this current cycle and training program concludes in a couple of weeks that there will be big changes. There won't be.
After a full week off training, I will immediately follow on from where I just left off. The program will have a big adjustment by splitting quads and posterior chain into separate days. Other than that things keep moving up.
The health focus is purely PEDs based. That I have sorted.
Training continues unabated. Will be fascinating to see how things run on just TRT though.
Will my diet change? You know, I really don't know. Going to play that one week to week. After all I want to be lean and healthy but not bodybuilding stage ready lean.

Squats 5x0,20,40 3x 60,80,100,120kg then stopped.


Daily thoughts
So the deload and health phase has begun.
I started my leg session tonight and not only was I about as stiff and sore as you can be to start a session, I tweaked an upper back muscle getting into position under the bar. It appears that my body is sending me a very loud message. This time I listened.

I was already very aware that my mind is not focusing well enough to push through any more. I have too many niggles that could turn into a injury if I try to push on. Better to pull back now than force a mindset that isn't there.

So deload is now started. Not touching a weight until Sunday 31st May. Need a full break this time.
Titrate down of Peds starts Monday and will take a couple of weeks to get to just TRT level.
I will obviously log this entire health phase and how my body responds to it. Should be really interesting and quite an experience.
I won't start a new log until I do another cycle at the end of August.

Solid health metrics man - especially the RHR

I started my leg session tonight and not only was I about as stiff and sore as you can be to start a session, I tweaked an upper back muscle getting into position under the bar. It appears that my body is sending me a very loud message. This time I listened.

I was already very aware that my mind is not focusing well enough to push through any more. I have too many niggles that could turn into a injury if I try to push on. Better to pull back now than force a mindset that isn't there.

I feel this - sometimes you just gotta listen to the body! Feels demoralizing, but its the right thing to do!

So the deload and health phase has begun.
I started my leg session tonight and not only was I about as stiff and sore as you can be to start a session, I tweaked an upper back muscle getting into position under the bar. It appears that my body is sending me a very loud message. This time I listened.

I was already very aware that my mind is not focusing well enough to push through any more. I have too many niggles that could turn into a injury if I try to push on. Better to pull back now than force a mindset that isn't there.

So deload is now started. Not touching a weight until Sunday 31st May. Need a full break this time.
Titrate down of Peds starts Monday and will take a couple of weeks to get to just TRT level.
I will obviously log this entire health phase and how my body responds to it. Should be really interesting and quite an experience.
I won't start a new log until I do another cycle at the end of August.

First deload day in weeks today, and I feel as I probably should.....tired. Everything aches today. I will be taking this deload as a non training deload.
Mind and body need a rest from the Sanctuary for a week. I shall return to the alter of gains on Sunday May 31......how prophetic 💪😇 🙂

I slightly reduced my Test and Eq as well today, so health phase is underway. I have a medical blood test next week for the Cardiologist and an Echo cardiogram on the 10th June. These will certainly give some pointers on my overall health at present. Definitely not concerned though.

At present it's just relax and enjoy the downtime from lifting. It will be short lived though as I will be bouncing off the walls by Wednesday wanting to get back to training 🤣🤣

Ok, here it is the full wrap up of the recomp/build/cut (I really have no idea what the fuck it was) cycle I just completed.
Every lift increased in weight across the board through this cycle. Standouts were deadlifts from 170kg to 215kg and leg press from 250kg to 400kg.
Bench wasn't as good as I wanted due to a shoulder niggle, but overall happy with progression.
Obviously my teaming up with @Southern Cross Labs was a huge benefit and I am delighted with how this cycle went using their amazing products.
This is evident in the following comparison.

Once again I will be exclusively using @Southern Cross Labs through all of this as they have the best products in my humble opinion. That they are the friendliest and most generous vendors on Evo is simply a lovely bonus 🫠

Ok, here it is the full wrap up of the recomp/build/cut (I really have no idea what the fuck it was) cycle I just completed.
Every lift increased in weight across the board through this cycle. Standouts were deadlifts from 170kg to 215kg and leg press from 250kg to 400kg.
Bench wasn't as good as I wanted due to a shoulder niggle, but overall happy with progression.
Obviously my teaming up with @Southern Cross Labs was a huge benefit and I am delighted with how this cycle went using their amazing products.
This is evident in the following comparison.

My weight since March has barely changed. I sit between mid 107.5kg and 108.5kg almost all the time. Changes physically are obvious though.

So now we have a health phase where I might do a mini cut in the middle just for fun.
Then the next big push will start at the end of August with an eye on competing again. Once again I will be exclusively using @Southern Cross Labs through all of this as they have the best products in my humble opinion. That they are the friendliest and most generous vendors on Evo is simply a lovely bonus 🫠

Been a fun cycle, but now we drop back to TRT and give my body a PED break.

Daily thoughts
Nice working in the home office today. Just resting and trying to heal the various aches and pains that a day doing heavy singles of anything inevitably brings.

One thing I am trying to do is get the idea out of my head that when this current cycle and training program concludes in a couple of weeks that there will be big changes. There won't be.
After a full week off training, I will immediately follow on from where I just left off. The program will have a big adjustment by splitting quads and posterior chain into separate days. Other than that things keep moving up.
The health focus is purely PEDs based. That I have sorted.
Training continues unabated. Will be fascinating to see how things run on just TRT though.
Will my diet change? You know, I really don't know. Going to play that one week to week. After all I want to be lean and healthy but not bodybuilding stage ready lean.

So the deload and health phase has begun.
I started my leg session tonight and not only was I about as stiff and sore as you can be to start a session, I tweaked an upper back muscle getting into position under the bar. It appears that my body is sending me a very loud message. This time I listened.

I was already very aware that my mind is not focusing well enough to push through any more. I have too many niggles that could turn into a injury if I try to push on. Better to pull back now than force a mindset that isn't there.

So deload is now started. Not touching a weight until Sunday 31st May. Need a full break this time.
Titrate down of Peds starts Monday and will take a couple of weeks to get to just TRT level.
I will obviously log this entire health phase and how my body responds to it. Should be really interesting and quite an experience.
I won't start a new log until I do another cycle at the end of August.

Daily thoughts
Day 3 of my deload. Shoulders are slowly (feels like glacial) improving. Certainly movements still remind me they are there. Legs in general are feeling less tired and sore. Right groin is much better. Rest of me is tired but improving daily.
First bit of body dysmorphia wandered in today and I felt I looked a bit flat 😬. That will get worse till next week when I can train again🤷‍♂️. Knew that was coming though 🤣🤣.
Generally I feel relaxed but physically and mentally tired. The cycle push took more out of me than I expected actually. Happy to not be training again yet.
As the week unfolds I will start looking at places I can adjust my diet. I have a pretty good idea of what I want but it is not set in stone yet.

Day 3 of my deload. Shoulders are slowly (feels like glacial) improving. Certainly movements still remind me they are there. Legs in general are feeling less tired and sore. Right groin is much better. Rest of me is tired but improving daily.
First bit of body dysmorphia wandered in today and I felt I looked a bit flat 😬. That will get worse till next week when I can train again🤷‍♂️. Knew that was coming though 🤣🤣.
Generally I feel relaxed but physically and mentally tired. The cycle push took more out of me than I expected actually. Happy to not be training again yet.
As the week unfolds I will start looking at places I can adjust my diet. I have a pretty good idea of what I want but it is not set in stone yet.

I have got a slight head cold as I have relaxed a bit and it took hold. In truth I have been holding it at arms length for about 3 weeks. Caught me finally.😷
Shoulders still catch on certain movements but are improving slowly.
Right groin is now healed with a few days rest.
Knees and legs in general still feel heavy and tired. Better each day but not there yet.
Still generally feel worn out as CNS is taking its time to reset.
Just under halfway through the deload and I am feeling better each day.
Hopefully tomorrow will be another step up in recovery.
Going to keep diet as is this week to get all the fuel I need to recover. Next week I will ease a couple of items off my menu and keep doing so until I feel it is too much. Going to interesting to see how this goes as I have not systematically done it like this before. A different experiment because it's fun to do.

Day 4 of my deload and now I am starting to get the effects of it.🤕
I have got a slight head cold as I have relaxed a bit and it took hold. In truth I have been holding it at arms length for about 3 weeks. Caught me finally.😷
Shoulders still catch on certain movements but are improving slowly.
Right groin is now healed with a few days rest.

First bit of body dysmorphia wandered in today and I felt I looked a bit flat 😬. That will get worse till next week when I can train again🤷‍♂️. Knew that was coming though 🤣🤣.
Generally I feel relaxed but physically and mentally tired. The cycle push took more out of me than I expected actually. Happy to not be training again yet.
As the week unfolds I will start looking at places I can adjust my diet. I have a pretty good idea of what I want but it is not set in stone yet.

Left shoulder has a small amount of discomfort right on lateral head. Right shoulder has the exact same place but is a bit worse.
GLOW from @Southern Cross Labs is on its way so I will run 6 weeks on it pinning my shoulders and see if that helps.
Rest of me feels good. Lower back is even loosening up a bit.
Mentally I am starting to ramp up a bit and will be so ready come Sunday to hit this program running.

6.5 hours. Was actually a bit better sleep, and was noticeable. Still not awesome but improving.

Training
Deload week. No lifting at all this time. Starting to want to though.

Daily thoughts
DAY 5 of my deload. Legs feel much better today, not as heavy. Knees still complain but they will always do that, especially when it's wet like today.
Left shoulder has a small amount of discomfort right on lateral head. Right shoulder has the exact same place but is a bit worse.
GLOW from @Southern Cross Labs is on its way so I will run 6 weeks on it pinning my shoulders and see if that helps.
Rest of me feels good. Lower back is even loosening up a bit.
Mentally I am starting to ramp up a bit and will be so ready come Sunday to hit this program running.

Great update man. Im glad you are getting some good recovery from rest.
