Anyone have any experience with side shots far as pip and other info? It doesn't seem like a very popular place to shoot as far as everything I've read but it seems pretty easy and simple to me. It would be my first time doing a side shot so I don't want to find out later that I missed some important piece of information. ..... like may cause instant death lol. joke.
 
Yeah I have been doing it for about three or four weeks. I haven't had any pip at all since switching to the VG instead of quads. It is easy and smooth. Just google it and find the right spot. I don't want to pin anywhere else since trying it but I may have to rotate other sites in to give it a break.

Awesome this is the info I was looking for. I know where the site is I just don't know how that muscle reacts when working out if I were to get pip from it.

Bro, search for it in the forum. There was a good thread about it 2 months ago or so. VG is the best! Pipless pinning. I am lean enough it's really obvious where it is. Stand and lean with y I ur hips to the side you are looking down at. It'll flex and bulge more. It's the protruding lump of muscle at the top front quarter of your leg. It's just above the femur and below the hip. To confirm you found it, sit down and follow the crease made when you sit between your leg and lower abs all the way back to where it ends. That's where it is. Google images help too.

Oh, looks like you posted this while I was typing. I've never had it affect a workout in any way. Never had any PIP like I get in my quad sometimes. So far, quad is my least favorite spot. VG and glutes are great.
 
tried it once and I don't think I hit the right spot because it didn't work out too well. hurt like hell.

I will stick to pecs, delts, quads because they are easy ... I hate injecting with a passion
 
Ventro is cool man. Thats my main spot now. It can hold a lot of oil too. i just go with a 1 inch needle personally.
Ive had products that hurt like hell but seem to be fine in that one spot.
You might get a little swelling in there which isn't fun if you wear a belt but even then its a good spot IMO.
 
I usually do ventrogluteal injections. Can be a bit tricky in the beginning, but when you get a hold of it, this injection site will prove itself to be beneficial.
 
It's a bit scary the first few times, I remember kind of freaking out thinking "OMG I'm going to hit my hip socket or something". After that fear though, I've found it to be one of the more straightforward and pain free spots.

I addition to the suggestion to lean from side to side and feel for the muscle that bulges out near your hip when you put weight on it, I've found another easy way to find it is to lay on your side and lift your leg like a scissor. The muscle that contracts and bulges out is the one you're looking for.
