No 30 minute cardio

Still losing weight and seeing significant visual changes—but also losing a decent amount of strength too, doing a long walk beforehand probably fatigues the hell out’ve me as well; it is what it is. Got in an excellent amount of steps and really enjoying the new walking routine, I think it’s a great switch up, plus, walking at night is a peaceful experience.

Good update Bru

Not all at once, but over the course of the day, absolutely. Even with a GLP-1 it's easy--maybe if I wasn't on a glp-1 I could eat one in an hour maybe.. might have to be the first thing I try after cutting.

So you enjoy milk with your sweets too? A man of culture.
you're a DNP experienced guy, back in the day no GLP1s just DNP for a young dumb NPC, I took too much for too long pre show was so dry and low on glycogen, ate a whole cheesecake in maybe 30min, was a huge pump for the show lol ;) i think it was the Tennessee classic, they call it the knox classic i think now. @playfields

Brother, I would start eating children to hit my protein if I had to.
I declared that I'd start transitioning into a bulk on the 10th of August, however tbh, I wouldn't mind fast forwarding it, I need to check with coach and reevaluate my goals before making that call.

Strength is up—most likely due to eating a bit more than usual yesterday, especially in terms of carbs, could 100% feel a difference in pump. My diet has sort’ve been all over the place because that’s how I’m feeling mentally. As much as I’ve enjoyed dieting down, it is a bit of an eye opener to see how far I’ve come and yet still have a lot more to do. I’ve gone from 92kg to 72kg, 38 inch waist to 29.5 inch waist, and there’s still a lot more weight to be dropped in my eyes, and tbh, I don’t want to weigh 65kg 😭😭. With that being said, I’m still very much in a calorie deficit, but it has lost it’s consistency and it ranges from 200-500kcal deficit instead of 1000kcals. It has become mentally difficult to justify dieting at this point, what’s worse is my body is absolutely primed right now at losing weight for some reason; it’s been dropping like crazy—yet—I don’t actually know if I want that 😔. Dieting while at a mental crossroads is gonna be exhausting, but I’m going to stick to the plan.

Terrible day macro-wise guys :(, i’m sorry that you had to witness that. I need to go shopping for more protein, i’ve been living off of gas station protein drinks/bars while walking.. not the best quality i know. Ignore the chocolate as well, I literally had no other snack that I could use as a quick pre workout lol. Perhaps the roughest myfitnesspal diary log I’ve seen from me, absolutely brutal stuff.

Other than that disgusting diet, energy in the gym was decent. I think strength is making a slow return so I’m hoping for more of that. I’m feeling more resolved in my decision to follow through until the 10th of August now that I’ve slept on it; no matter the skinniness.

You are lean enough. No more dnp and weird crazy stuff, right? You’re working hard and eating decent, so from here your food should favor your muscle. Just don’t get in your own way and you’ll start growing like you want too

saw your log bro; you truly are the protein king. i admire the effort you put into tracking and eating a very clean diet--especially while eating 4k-5k calories.

I have a lot of food sensitivity. It’s gotten better but if I eat too much trash I’ll really punish myself. Hahaha. Like everything has maltodextrin at least in the US. And sometimes it’s not listed, but I’ll know because I’ll start farting like I jammed a trumpet up my ass. I lived like that for a long time. After the digestive issues then the joint pain kicks in. And I really think I had a lot of psychological effects from standard American food.

yes this is one of those low days for you. Best you can do is up the bars those days at least 3-4 protein bars for a boost. @toddthelineman

Great energy today; I wasn’t resting too much inbetween sets and felt more motivated to push myself. Lower than usual calories but I’m satisfied with my protein intake today. I doubt I’ll be doing 30 minutes of cardio at the end of my sessions since the added 12k steps takes up too much time and energy.

Strength is surprisingly making a slow comeback. Decided to do barbell rows for a small switch up. Keen for the rest day tomorrow, I don’t know if you could tell but I don’t write as much anymore due to being so tired after 5 1/2 hours of straight walking and lifting. Started to buy coffee at a petrol station to keep me energised just before heading into the gym—works well but the crash is harsh by the time I get home.

No you’re pretty muscular. Getting ripped. Regular dudes with average amounts of body fat look bigger than you until the shirt comes off. And under the fluff you are more muscular than them. Just a fact. You actually look more muscular than just your last pic. I was your size for most of my life. Look smallish with clothes on but look exactly like a professional fighter otherwise. Lean and mean. Also, I picked up way more chicks when I was 155-165 pounds than when I’ve been bigger. Lots of different reasons for that

Are you doing squats and deadlifts @playfields ? I really think those did the most to thicken my body. I like doing them, but they are exhausting. Makes my job tough sometimes

I use to do hacksquats a lot more, but now I do them every so often. I'm currently not doing deadlifts, but I'd love to start once I'm bulking.
You actually look really good, very lean :D but now you should consider doing a lean bulk. @playfields
The lean bulk is absolutely on it's way, I have 12 days left of cutting and I couldn't be more keen on building some lean mass. 🙂

Forgot to weigh

At 4pm it was go time—until it started raining about 5 minutes into the walk, so I had to retreat. “So what?” I said, knowing it will stop soon since it’s Melbourne, and alas, 30 minutes later it goes from overcast to sunshine—until it starts raining again as soon as I literally fucking step out the door; I was once again forced to retreat… Frustrated and losing hope, I wait another 30 minutes.. It’s now 5:09 and it is no longer raining, “it’s now or never”; I change my hoodie and I make my move. The rain would stop and start throughout the entire walk—but I was unstoppable by that point, I had fully warmed up and there was no way I was going to walk 30 minutes back fuxking home.

As you can see, I’m surviving on petrol station protein bars/drinks.. but that is no matter, the musashi high protein bar has never let me down, it has fought with me through thick and thin since the beginning. The lean body protein drink is the only protein drink/bar I have tried that tastes like shit—but it does have fantastic macros 7/10.

Mid walk I was running low on Estrogen so I walked over to my local starbucks to buy a skim milk soy latte, unfortunately it was closed and I thought I was doomed. Luckily, there was a coffeetime near by and I got a skim milk flat white instead—it doesn’t make me as emotional as starbucks coffee does, but it did the job.

Oh, and energy was good at gym. Getting stronger, so possibly starting to recover that lost strength from when I was sick.

Took a gamble and did my usual steps on leg day, it went well. I did go lighter on the weights to conserve some energy for the walk home, but over all energy is good. In previous logs I mentioned strength is slowly returning, I can't really say that is quite true for my legs, but that isn't a surprise since they're doing a lot of work while not getting much calories--they were the first to grow and they're the first to go, but they'll be back. Oh and diet was a little trash today, everytime I visit nan she insists on me eating a chocolate twirl because of how skinny I’m getting, and then I end up eating 5 or 6 lolll.. we have to make nan proud during the bulk

As soon as I picked up the dumbbells, I knew today’s session was gonna be rough, those weights felt way heavier than usual. I blame my absolute crappy eating atm, I was busy with my course and twas distracted from 5am til 4:30, didn’t eat anything, I had to quickly smash down the protein drink, protein bar and chocolate then I was out the door otw to the gym—and because it’s been a rather drawn out and aggressive deficit, my digestive system is basically kaputt. By the time I got to the tricep exercises, I was beginning to yawn like crazy, and when I started tricep extensions, I could barely bring a 12.5kg dumbbell above my head—that was my cue to fuck off. I need to make sure I’m able to get in quality carbs prior to working out. Also, you know me by now, I love convenience and I fully prioritise macros and calories—but even I’m getting disgusted at the protein bars and protein drinks… like… wtf?

Some days are harder than others, it happens, but your macros do look pretty good. I would suggest you start upping the calories with protein cookies if you tired of the shakes/bars, have you tried the difference ones? @playfields

I haven't, I don't find them to be good value, unless the good ones are hiding from me

I purely meant on taste buds.
oh haha, I can eat anything when I'm hungry, especially cookies. The protein bars I have are really nice, it's just moreso wanting to eat cooked food.

Figure all those protein bars and cookies and pancakes and such are just regular things with whey protein in them. You could make anything you ever wanted, anything you can imagine, and add whey protein or any other protein isolate. My favorite is yogurt, honey, whey protein, and fruit. You could put chocolate chips too. Sometimes if I don’t have fresh berries I’ll just use cinnamon, which is really good for you and it tastes great. I’ll use like 5g of cinnamon, 20 g of honey. It’s absolutely delicious

I mostly have the Musashi High protein bars, mainly because of the macros, but it tastes good too.

Absolutely fried during today’s session, I tried having the classic oats that I use to enjoy during my mini bulk to see if the good quality carbs would help with the workout, unfortunately it didn’t help too much, but it did digest well and it was satisfying, going to try and incorporate it back into my diet. Noticing much more hunger ever since adding in the additional steps which isn’t surprising, it’s probably a big contributor to my fatigue, the upside is I’m eating more macros.

Probably right, I think I've pushed the calories and steps too far, can definitely see a big difference in fatigue and hunger to an unsustainable point. I'm gonna eat more on days where I think it's necessary and give it my all for 1 more week, then we'll move on to gaining some mass.

Woke up unsure if I would take a rest day, so I took this opportunity to experiment with my diet and see if eating alot more carbs and calories would give me enough energy to push through. Not surprisingly, I felt much better in the afternoon. Today’s leg day was pretty chill, I avoided stiff legged deadlifts due to shaky knees, I opted for hacksquat instead.

carbs aren't a bad thing. its just that they need to be healthy carb options. some of the most healthy people on the planet have carb heavy diets @playfields

@playfields i think one area that you can improve is more healthier foods. more clean and whole foods. like instead of chicken tenders and weetbix eat some whole eggs
