Brother man, you move some serious weight. Your age number may be in the 60s but your strength is like a 30 year old, fucking awesome!!!

On that pier fishing thing and yes it's 90% my size: I tend to go say hello but be that little tiny bit too close. Like is it accidental or deliberate? If I get any, even huffing and puffing response, I'll be 'are you ok... kinda breathing hard there buddy' and all that lol.

So It'd deffo be 'hey there's my buddy Stevesmi... c'mon sit here with me and my new 'buddy'' lol. Hardly anyone ever says f'all and I can always say I didn't know

People will try and bully you off a spot. Lots of fights and arguments. It’s very deliberate. You just have to show up and pretend to fish. I will hand you a pole and Just stand next to me lol

Mobster go out there with a 45 lbs barbell and put a string, hook, and shrimp on the end. No one going to bully you then!

'Science based' vs brutal hard work x time x weight lifted =
Definitely training your body hardcore pays off. There's no other way around it. The harder you train the harder, the results. @Mobster i'm glad you agree with me on things in life. i'm sure you discipline your kids the same way, its all about discipline.

otherwise he will throw them over and feed them to the sharks!

or better yet put them on the hook and catch a shark. That's a fun catch! I enjoy catching sharks except nurse sharks they are like just reeling up dead weight!
I just enjoy fishing! bass fishing to inshore red fishing and trout to off shore bottom fishing and trolling! Luckily I live in a place we can do all those types of fishing in one day. Lets just go fishing!

science is important too @Mobster i think that if you combine good science with training good things can happen. is that wrong?
No it's correct. However, many so-called 'science based' trainees cherry pick their info and are typically very lightly muscled if at all

Bit of a rush job. My fault. Changed stuff too. Also was given four books for my collection and did a deal with one of the owners on two gym vests (cos they thanked me for what I've done to help the gym too)

Standing BB Wrist Curls
Cos i was being dull I started out training extensors before penny dropped and switched to flexors

I've done the bi/tri machine workout with a buddy. Best pump ever. 5 x 10 s/s with a you go I go vibe. 19.5-inches cold to 21.25-inch pumped (biggest ever). Be sure to squeeze and stretch on all reps

I will make each and ever rep count and I promise I won’t waste a single movement!!! Fuck yes!!!

More Queen fan than Stones
Nice!! Me too

I wish Freddy Mercury was around longer so we'd have more of that voice to listen too now. I like watching their old concerts and hearing him live. Greatest rock singer in history.

Why so light on the curls?

Is there some wisdom to be shared there or just working around injury?

Live Aid was a master rock performance. Mercury held that whole stadium in the palm of his hand. @Mobster, any chance you were at Live Aid? I watched in the Enlisted Mans Club on base, they piped it in for all of us via satellite. It was great.

No. I wish. I mentioned on FB recently it was so big you could switch off the TV or radio and still hear it from other houses and apartments nearby

Mine isn't. Indeed NO modern commercial gym is men only. Plus I'd just about finished. She arrived just as the pump from hell hit my chest after 45 reps

Very rare now. Up there with women only gyms 'cos we intimidate them'.

When I had the team here during covid we only had 1-2 women train

So I've mentioned (as has Vision) that I've one heck of a collection of books (100+) and what must be 8000+ bodybuilding magazines as well as a few physical items. It's a rare week I don't add something. I'll start including what's arrived etc in my log.

By way of example the past few days included:

Mike Mentzer: American Odysseus by John Little - his life story. John has done a LOAD on Mike's training but not the actual story
EUGEN SANDOW INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING SANDOW'S SPRING GRIP DUMB BELLS BOOKLET - I've several of the grippers inc a set in the original tin with instruction poster. The booklet seems to be dated from 1914
Steroid Nation by Shaun Asseal - all about the American nations relationship with performance and the history and growth of steroid use.

I've a page specific to the collection on Facebook

Tweaked my back (RH) a tiny bit on my 2nd set. Took extra care on form. But started heavy and continued

Leg Press
260kg x 8, 460kg x 8 and then, with Gareth F (weighs 102kg) on top 767kg/1687lbs x 6 (again wanted 8)

Lying Leg Curls
