Log Day 165

Pretty big day of training yesterday. Went really hard and managed to train around the pain in my wrist and not make anything worse.

For the pressing I used my wrist wraps, for the row I used my straps, and for the laterals I threw in a wrist cuff. Seemed to work well except...I tweaked something in my shoulder. Maybe my form was off cuz of the cuff, I duno. I'm getting pain in my shoulder when my arm gets parallel to the joint. Pain is on the interior of the front delt. Hard to tell how bad it is cuz I am dealing with some DOMS from yesterday training. Feels like it's nothing major and should go away in a few days.

Tonight is supposed to be an arm day but with my wrist and shoulder now I'm gonna give it a break tonight. Work was really hard today with a lot of heavy pulling and carries so I feel I earned it lol. Tomorrow will be more of the same at work, so I guess 1 night off can't hurt. I can be sorta smart sometimes lol.

I've dealt with similar if not the same injuries multiple times before and I've always managed to train and work through them. Just need to keep up the BPC 157 and becareful not to make anything worse.

Im really liking the TB 500 with the BPC, first time i tried it didn't do much, new source and they are awesome together. Way less Doms when using both

Feel like I'm being a bummer with all this bad news but the hits keep coming. First my wrist, then my shoulder yesterday, and today I found out I have a broken tooth and need an implant. It's from an shot to the face about 20 years ago but I bit into something and loosened it up again. No saving the tooth. Looking at a 4-5 thousand dollar bill. They say bad things come in threes so hopefully that's it.

My wrist is getting better, but my shoulder is actually pretty bad today. I can't raise it up past my chest without a lot of pain. I think I maybe have some serious inflammation in there cuz advil helps. Could be an impingement or a tear. Not sure yet. Going to wait a couple days and start doing some of the mobility tests.

Looks like the universe is trying to tell me to listen to @LevButlerov advice. No more upper training for me for a bit. The wrist I can train around but the shoulder is a no go.

I was thinking back yesterday and I don't think I injured my shoulder training. It wasn't bothering me at work all day but when I got inside at home it was killing me. I think I injured it lifting some really heavy bags of garbage out of my truck. I was doing the swing over the shoulder Santa carrying sack movement to carry the bags and I think I did it then. Sucks.

Got some more BPC 157 and TB 500 on the way to help speed things up. Hopefully I can get over this shoulder problem quick cuz it really hampers my work.

I've had great experiences with both. For the minor stuff I use the BPC and when I get more serious injuries I bring out the big guns with the TB. Without them I'd miss days at work or just be suffering through it for a long time.

It's from an shot to the face about 20 years ago but I bit into something and loosened it up again. No saving the tooth. Looking at a 4-5 thousand dollar bill. They say bad things come in threes so hopefully that's it.

Rough stretch but you’re handling it the right way, backing off upper and letting the shoulder calm down is smart. That kind of movement with the garbage bags could easily tweak it, especially if you were already beat up from training. Bpc157 and tb500 should help push healing along, a lot of guys swear by that combo for these situations.
Stick to legs, core and cardio for now so you keep momentum while things heal, and once pain eases you can test mobility and rebuild slow. :D
But remember even legs and core don't go balls to wall, lower weights lower volume let the body settle it.
Part of it is also you getting off cycle and your body adjusting to the new hormone levels. @BeMe

I can't miss an entire week of training though. That would hurt worse than the wrist lol. I'll be good tho and drop anything that can hurt my wrist. Forearms are definitely off the table and I'm going to have to modify or replace a few other movements.

Cardio and core is a smart call till that shoulder chills out, no point forcing extensions or anything that’ll keep it irritated. Wrist bouncing back quick is a good sign, so just let the shoulder catch up and then you can ease legs back in. Better to miss a week than drag an injury out for months. :D @BeMe

I'm also thinking it's better to let my body focus on healing the injuries vs trying to recover and heal together. Once the swelling goes down in going to try some physio tests to figure out what's going on. I have a good friend who's a PT so he can guide me on how to rehab this one.

Yea I know..I had surgery on the other after I dislocated it a shit load of times. I told the story on the podcast actually.

This one is my good shoulder...fukn hell. Hopefully it's still the good one after it heals up

That sucks @BeMe. It’s always something like this. I put a ladder rack on one of my trucks and now I hate hate hate getting anything heavy out of it.

Well you are forced to deload truly now. I think you’ll heal quickly. Seems like you’re going to have to let your help carry the load at work and everything. I trained more people in the 5-7 years I was injured than the whole other 20+ years I was a foreman. I’m sure you’ll recover quickly

That’s the right call, letting the body put full energy into healing first will get you back to proper training faster. Having a PT buddy walk you through the rehab is a big plus, you’ll get the right movements in without guessing and risking another setback. :D

I'm not much of a believer in acupuncture LOL. I'm Asian and even I don't believe.

I hit it with a theragun when I got home and sat down but that made it worse I think lol. That was the point when I realized this is probably more than just some muscle soreness from training and work.

Once the information dies down though I'm going to start going to town on it with the theragun.

I was doing some research into red light panels but now that I have to drop four or five grand on a dental implant that purchases on pause for a while. The good red light panels are really expensive @LevButlerov

Shoulders are so ridiculously complicated. One little tear, or some swelling. Cause all kinds of problems. When my herniated discs in my neck were bad, I count properly operate my arm. I thought I could, but all the nerves getting there signal, so things were popping out of place. PT had to show me with a mirror. My shoulder blade was popping out, and I was working like that. It hurt a lot because all those ligaments and tendons were all rubbing on things and going the wrong way. It took way too long to figure out that all the problems were coming from my neck. Way too long. Don’t rule it out.

Yup theragun on an irritated spot can flare it up more, better to let it calm before hammering it again. Ice and just giving it a break usually does more than chasing it with gadgets.
Red light panels do help recovery but you’re right, the ones worth buying are pricey and not something you need right away, dental work takes priority. When the inflammation settles, ease back in slow so it doesn’t flare up again. :D

Yeah this one for me has always been kind of weak since I was like 19 or something and got hit in the mouth. It has a root canal right next to it that I totally forgot about. This one snapped right at the root. It was always kind of weak. I think I busted it eating that Chinese fried lobster at the wedding this weekend. They fry the shell and everything and I can tell where the meat was.

i think mine went eating popcorn or nuts. i've def spent a fair share of $$$ over the years on teeth. a good dentist who is fairly priced is very important.

@BeMe It's not the worst thing in the world. A lot of the things are going through are just part of life. Trust me, the last thing you want to go through is what I went through with my ex-wife.

Naw never tried the GHKCu, I'm a bit iffy on it to be honest. I'm gonna hold off on that stuff until there's more longer term data on it.

I've run BPC and TB many times in the past and always had good results. My TB just arrived today and it's reconstituting as we speak.

I hear ya bro...definitely isn't all that bad in the greater picture of life. I'm doing my best to stay positive and take solace in the little things that are improving. My wrist has been getting better each day. I can raise my arm higher today then yesterday with less pain. Little wins

Yea I just got the quote today. Gonna run me 4 grand but they can extract and implant the same day. It's called an auto implant. Doing it this way I don't need to wear a fake tooth for 3 months and then go back later for an implant. Also means one anesthesia instead of two.

Ya bro. Just makes us smarter and stronger at the end of the day. The toughest thing is making myself not train. I started thinking today I can actually do curls and tricep pull downs and won't hurt my shoulder...but that's not ideal so I gotta stop myself. Just gonna hit some hamstring curls and leg extensions with the treadmill tonight.

Dose 70mg test EOD, 2iu GH

Man am I glad the work week is over. Working with this bad wrist and shoulder was pretty tough. A lot of my work is overhead so grinding through the painful part in the range of motion to get overhead and work was pretty tough.

The shoulder is feeling significantly better today than yesterday. I was able to tie my boots without wincing this morning. The pain has narrowed to a very small section in my range of motion. I can get to 90° now with no pain, but from 90° to about 135° is pretty painful, almost feels like an impingement. Hopefully that's just still swelling and it'll settle down.

Tb500 just arrived then I got to reconstituting. Going to run 1g EOD along side my 750mcg of BPC ED.

I was thinking, GH improves recovery, so should I maybe up my GH dose to 4iu ED while I'm injured?

Dose 70mg test EOD, 2iu GH

Man am I glad the work week is over. Working with this bad wrist and shoulder was pretty tough. A lot of my work is overhead so grinding through the painful part in the range of motion to get overhead and work was pretty tough.

The shoulder is feeling significantly better today than yesterday. I was able to tie my boots without wincing this morning. The pain has narrowed to a very small section in my range of motion. I can get to 90° now with no pain, but from 90° to about 135° is pretty painful, almost feels like an impingement. Hopefully that's just still swelling and it'll settle down.

Tb500 just arrived then I got to reconstituting. Going to run 1g EOD along side my 750mcg of BPC ED.

I was thinking, GH improves recovery, so should I maybe up my GH dose to 4iu ED while I'm injured?

Good move stacking tb500 with bpc, that combo usually speeds up soft tissue healing and helps with the kind of shoulder issue you’re describing. No need to jump GH from 2iu to 4iu right now, higher doesn’t always mean faster recovery and it’ll just bloat costs.
Stay steady on 2iu, let the peptides do their job, and focus on blood flow with light legs and treadmill until that painful range clears. Once swelling calms and motion improves, then you can ease pressing back in. :D @BeMe we have time, let the inflammation heal up a bit.

That’s the right call, better to let the arms settle than push through and make it worse. Light legs and some treadmill or hiking will still keep you moving without stressing recovery. A couple days at the desk won’t hurt, you’ll come back fresher for bis and tris next week. :D

Ya bro. Just makes us smarter and stronger at the end of the day. The toughest thing is making myself not train. I started thinking today I can actually do curls and tricep pull downs and won't hurt my shoulder...but that's not ideal so I gotta stop myself. Just gonna hit some hamstring curls and leg extensions with the treadmill tonight.

I hear ya bro...definitely isn't all that bad in the greater picture of life. I'm doing my best to stay positive and take solace in the little things that are improving. My wrist has been getting better each day. I can raise my arm higher today then yesterday with less pain. Little wins

I mentioned to my wife we haven't had homemade hot pot in a while and she went all out. We're doing a ton yum soup with mushrooms, shrimp, fresh snapper, beef brisket, fish balls, and tofu. My wife went all out

Naw never tried the GHKCu, I'm a bit iffy on it to be honest. I'm gonna hold off on that stuff until there's more longer term data on it.

I've run BPC and TB many times in the past and always had good results. My TB just arrived today and it's reconstituting as we speak.

Tb500 is 1g EOD
BPC is 350mcg 2x daily...or just 700mcg when I forget to pin in the AM before work

The only thing that sucks is I was gonna start my Tren cycle in the beginning of November but I'll be getting this implant done sometime around then as well. Might need to postpone my cycle start.

I think I mentioned this, but when I herniated the discs in my neck, I thought it was a shoulder injury. They had me bouncing from specialist to specialist and it wound up taking a really long time to diagnose, which caused a lot of issues and the pain migrated around as I was compensating from lack of mobility and trying to avoid irritation. If you can rule that out right away, I would definitely do that. It would change your entire rehab and hopefully get you getting better right away instead of worse

Ya it's the protocol I've used for years now. I started with these peptides like 5 or 6 years ago and they've really saved my ass at work. Things that would take weeks to recover from heal up in a week a lot of the time. Working around injuries is a bitch but these peptides make it a lot easier.

The initial acute event felt like pain in my shoulder socket. It happened when I was lifting a tool from one side of a pole to the other, leaning out of a basket, with my arms extended to reach it. Have done it a million times. The tool is about 70 pounds. I thought I heard the sound of a pencil breaking and pain shot from my shoulder socket to all through my arm and I couldn’t really use the arm. We went to the emergency room. They didn’t find anything wrong with my shoulder and they thought I was seeking drugs. I went home with some Tylenol 3 and slumped on the couch for a few days and the pain migrated from inside my shoulder, to across my shoulder blades, and my left trap was hot and swollen and tight. Weeks or months later, most of the symptoms were numbness and tingling in my left arm. That got progressively worse to the point that I couldn’t sleep and it was making me crazy. I was able to get that to go mostly away by switching from vaping nicotine to vaping cbd. A LOT OF IT. It really brought the inflammation down. It was months later that PT showed me how my nerves weren’t firing so my shoulder blade was popping out. I had to learn new neck posture and really force my shoulders back and down. I never felt it in my neck

If the dates were running that close anyway just get the tooth done so you dont have to try and navigate them both at the same time.

Feel like I'm being a bummer with all this bad news but the hits keep coming. First my wrist, then my shoulder yesterday, and today I found out I have a broken tooth and need an implant. It's from an shot to the face about 20 years ago but I bit into something and loosened it up again. No saving the tooth. Looking at a 4-5 thousand dollar bill. They say bad things come in threes so hopefully that's it.

My wrist is getting better, but my shoulder is actually pretty bad today. I can't raise it up past my chest without a lot of pain. I think I maybe have some serious inflammation in there cuz advil helps. Could be an impingement or a tear. Not sure yet. Going to wait a couple days and start doing some of the mobility tests.

Looks like the universe is trying to tell me to listen to @LevButlerov advice. No more upper training for me for a bit. The wrist I can train around but the shoulder is a no go.

I was thinking back yesterday and I don't think I injured my shoulder training. It wasn't bothering me at work all day but when I got inside at home it was killing me. I think I injured it lifting some really heavy bags of garbage out of my truck. I was doing the swing over the shoulder Santa carrying sack movement to carry the bags and I think I did it then. Sucks.

Got some more BPC 157 and TB 500 on the way to help speed things up. Hopefully I can get over this shoulder problem quick cuz it really hampers my work.

Ok so lucky for me I don't have any of those symptoms. I've heard how spinal stuff can start causing pains elsewhere and it's really hard to track down.

I know how I messed this shoulder up and I'm pretty sure most of the problem is just inflammation. Today I'm at the point now where I can do an overhead press movement and it's not horribly painful. If I hold my arm straight out and lift it up that's a tiny bit more painful but still manageable now.

I think TB500 is more soft tissue. Might help with any inflammation I get. My understanding is the procedure is pretty straightforward. They said it's a pretty quick in and out thing so hopefully that means there isn't much recovery. I remember getting my wisdom teeth out when I was young and that sucked haha

Managed to get a little training done last night. My shoulder was feeling better enough to the point where I could brace myself on the leg extension machine again. I did some of the single leg sets. My right knee seems to be progressing which is really good. Got up to 90 lbs yesterday. Still a far cry from the 120 my left leg is doing but it's a good jump from last week. I think the extra training is paying off.

I really shouldn't have trained yesterday though, because I had blood work this morning whoops. It wasn't anything too crazy training wise so hopefully it doesn't mess up my blood markers too much.

The shoulder still getting better day by day. I can do an overhead press motion now without too much pain. The range where it hurts is getting smaller too.

I missed a test dose I'm Thursday cuz I had the bloodwork today. Should I double dose tonight to make up for that missed pin? When I was pinning twice a week I'd just pin a day later but now that I'm pinning EOD I'm not exactly sure what to do.

You know I really think I get a huge inflammation response from vaping. I’m mostly nicotine free, but sometimes I crack and it’s better for me and the general public if a have some. And every time, writing a week or two, a lot of my pain comes back, and the gums around my wisdom teeth swell up. If I keep going I’ll have full blown arthritis and all the bad ass stuff I do, impossible. Over. I can do my job but that’s about it and I feel like my joints are made out of glass and one wrong move and I’m done. I think there must be some combination of genetics that causes me a really high inflammation response, and I know that’s a thing I just never did get my genes studied. I do often wonder if other people aren’t getting it too, but they aren’t feeling it as much as me because they aren’t as damaged 🤷‍♂️

I'm pretty sure they're allowed to put stuff in American vapes that you can't put in Canadian vapes. I know our government banned a whole lot of stuff that went into vapes years ago. We can't even buy vapes with more than 20mg nicotine levels. I used to vape on 60mg. They turned me into a chain vaper

I wore patches with a piece of KT tape over them for years. I could even go barefooting with them. I recommend it to anyone. Just don’t have any other type of nicotine when you have the patch on. All you’ll do is raise your tolerance to the moon. I’ll sleep with it on even, and I’ll feel really good! It’s something you might want to consider, vaping is less harsh than smoking but…. You’re still inhaling a TON of weird stuff man. There’s no way we’re getting off for free on this. For me, I can feel the difference big time, but before that I smoked or vaped consistently like you, except of course when I was in jail and got really healthy lol

Yea unfortunately I'm very familiar with shoulder rehab. I had surgery on my right shoulder. This is my good shoulder thats messed up this time.

On the bright side it's recovering quick. I think the pain and immobility was mostly due to inflammation.

Got my bloodwork done yesterday. Looking forward to seeing my results and understanding what might be off with me hormonally.

Shoulder has improved to the point where I have full mobility back and only the tiniest bit of pain. Looks like it might not be so bad afterall and there was just a ton of inflammation in there. Probably helped that I was already on the BPC 157.

I plan to start training again tomorrow. Just arms so it should be fine. I'm going to have to ease back into the shoulder and chest training.

Since I'm not training I have some extra time so I took some update shots.

Current weight 188lbs, up 11lbs from pre-cycle, 8 since last real cycle dose.

If I look a bit smaller its cuz I have literally zero pump in these pics. Haven't been able to train for the last 4 days. Just been a while so I figured I should add some update pics.

Take this as the bodies warning brother your red lining the body and not taking enough time off the the injuries are starting, i hope you rest a bit more and recover brother, a tear depending on how bad is nothing to play with, i had 3 of them at one time and surgery was the only solution.

Good jump on the leg extension, right leg moving 90 vs left at 120 shows progress is real. Shoulder healing well if you’re pressing overhead again with less pain, that’s a good sign. But I thought you had the wrist issue?

Missing a pin isn’t the end of the world, no issues, I would double up next pin. :D @BeMe
 
Take this as the bodies warning brother your red lining the body and not taking enough time off the the injuries are starting, i hope you rest a bit more and recover brother, a tear depending on how bad is nothing to play with, i had 3 of them at one time and surgery was the only solution.
I'm feeling like it's not a tear, or at worst maybe a micro. Shoulders already feeling pretty strong again today. I took 4 days off and I'm feeling a lot better. Got the BPC and TB doing work for me.

I'm pretty sure my e2 is low. I got bloodwork yesterday and hopefully that will give me some answers

Good jump on the leg extension, right leg moving 90 vs left at 120 shows progress is real. Shoulder healing well if you’re pressing overhead again with less pain, that’s a good sign. But I thought you had the wrist issue?

Missing a pin isn’t the end of the world, no issues, I would double up next pin. :D @BeMe
The wrist has gotten a lot better since starting the BPC 157 a week ago. Still some minor pain if I push it but it's feeling about 80% back to normal. I'll probably wait another week before I start my forearm training again though.

I didn't do any overhead presses I can just do the motion without any pain. Still going to hold off on actually training shoulders or chest another day. I'll probably start back light on Tuesday and see how the shoulder feels.

I had a wuick question in my log post today. I missed my test injection on Thursday cuz I had bloodwork today. I'm going 70mg EOD right now so regular schedule pin tonight.

Should I double up to make up for the missed injection on Thursday @LevButlerov

Can you describe how you know your E2 is low? I know when mine is but I'd love to hear what others feel when there's is. I'm more irritable and my libido goes down.

Creaky joints, mood feels a bit down, libido is a bit down. It's kinda like an overall less positive feeling in my mind and body. Duno for sure if it's low estrogen but my bloodwork will tell me for sure tomorrow. The symptoms I'm dealing with tick all the low e2 boxes for sure.
