Are you in the US? I thought rib-eye was a really popular cut over there?

It's pork shoulder. Roasted at lowish temperature. Turns out pretty good and is a fairly cheap. The crackling is nice as well. I have finally worked out how to do that.
ribeye is super expensive. i never bothered to get it but it was on sale this week. it is now my 2nd favorite behind filet mignon
 
Yeah rump is popular over here (Australia) as it's a bit more reasonably priced. That's what I normally get. It's about $25 AUD/kg.
its on sale for $20 a pound. but over here quality varies a lot. i only get the step 4 or above red meat. most people in the USA get step 0 or 1 which is low quality tortured cow meat from corporate farms. your food is more expensive but its more quality. our food is cheap but its super low quality.

@waggat that is a nice looking hunk of meat. when you say you roasted it what does that mean exactly? did you put it in the oven for like 2hours?

Will also run 20mg Anavar for four weeks starting tomorrow.

Holy shit bro I eat 1.5kg or about 3.3lb of red meat a day so I might need to move to Australia LOL. The best grade and cut of beef here is filet tenderloin and it's $45CDN/kg or about $20CDN/lb.

Nah I'm only talking rump steak. If you want rib or tenderloin (we call that eye fillet) that is about $45/kg.

Ahhh ok that makes sense. That's why I mostly eat two 1.5kg flank steaks a day. Almost the cheapest cut of meat but is amazing if you know how to tenderize it and cook it on high heat and make it what we call 'chicago rare'.

Ok today I've been feeling some tingling in my nipples. Not sure how E2 can still be high on 0.5mg Adex ED and 430mg test.

I just took a second 0.5mg now.

I want to start the Nolvadex ASAP. Will this effect the E2 result in a blood test?
Can def influence the test for sure. Though it doesn't stop conversion tamox still binds to the receptor and can throw the reading off. How long till you run bloods brother?

Yeah the plan is to run 1:1 maybe around 350 each. Hopefully that significantly reduces my required AI dose.

Exactly the reason i turned to eq as well mate as im a huge aromatizer. Just be carefuly brother 1:1 might see you go the other way and crush your e2

Good push day setup with solid load jumps and balanced shoulder and tricep work. Keep HS incline press at 42.5x8 until you can hit 10 clean then move to 45s and keep DB bench in the same 8 to 10 rep range for now with full control on the negative.

Hey mate, yeah I really liked it hey. Did it for about 6 months. To me it's pretty standard bodybuilding (4-way split and ramping to top sets) just lower volume (slightly bigger jumps when ramping particularly for second or third exercises) and only ever one top set. This is offset by really pushing that final set all out.
 
I'm starting to get sick of crap sleep. It's not the worst but when I get a few nights in a row it's builds up.

I get to sleep very quickly but then wake and struggle to get back to sleep in the later part of the night (sleep perfect from say 8:30pm till 1-2am then struggle a bit after that).

I currently take magnesium, zinc, valerian, 5mg melatonin (some nights) and ashwaganda.

Is it rash to look at introducing HGH just for the sleep benefit? Maybe just 1UI/day. Otherwise, has anyone tried DSIP?

At 1 IU per day you might see deeper sleep after a few weeks, but start with improving sleep hygiene and timing your supplements before jumping in. Sleep hygiene is the time you got to sleep and how etc. @waggat

CBD helps me with both. I actually tried dropping the CBD recently because I thought my GH was doing the work but not so. The GH did still knock me out, but my sleep quality suffered without the CBD.

Plus it has so many other benefits.

Oh also @BeMe did Anavar affect your sleep (likely just coincidental for me but I did just start it and thought I should check).

Not at all. I took it sublingually pre-workout only.

No trouble with sleep. Only issue was bad pumps and cramping randomly in my glutes and abs at work. Over time it went away and I was able to increase my dose from 20 all the way up to 40 some days without any negatives. I was on the Anavar for 16 weeks and my liver values only got a little bit over range. Never crazy bad.

Get some tudca and milk thistle to take while u run it.

my move was completed. I did a 2 week move. highly recommend doing it that way instead of all in 1 day. used my car to move small things with numerous trips, then rented a 20ft truck back to back sunday's. been in the new place 3 days and can't be happier. not having a neighbor banging or playing music while I am trying to sleep and work is a true blessing after 10 years of sharing walls with people. those of you out there i highly recommend paying more to not deal with that. my sleep is so crisp and i can sleep day or night whenever i want, don't have to worry about waiting for the neighbor to sleep.

this is what i did in my room with a sound blanket and light blocking lights, and i also setup a small DC fan which i got off amazon for literally $25 to help drown out any sound. also my windows are thick and impact which blocks out 80% of outside noise. sleep is the key to recovery. i see a lot of guys on here not sleeping well and not sleeping correctly. you need deep stages of sleep to properly recover or else expect it catch up to you mentally AND physically.

the sound blanket i got cost around $600 (1" thick and industry grade) and was special ordered online to fit my window.. well worth the investment and you can easily transport it forever.. i simply nailed it to the wall to cover the window and its done.. it blocks probably 20-30% of outside noise. the curtains cost like $35 from walmart lol.

I'm going to be talking more about sleep in this log as well. one of the things i was discussing with someone on their log is blue blocker glasses. he didn't know what they were. simply they block out BLUE LIGHT. these electronics that we use and any lights are not natural, and will keep your brain from knowing its night time. its the same problem that sea turtles have and why by law in certain places you can't have lights on certain times of the year cause the turtles get confused near the beach. well with humans its the same way. picking up some blue blocker glasses is a great investment, see pics of the cheap ones i bought on amazing for like $15 each. now of course you can buy more expensive ones that look better, i've seen ones for $100+. make sure you test them when you buy them to make sure they do work correctly, you can use blue blocker testing websites to see that. it will boost melatonin and other compounds in your brain and help you fall asleep much easier. anyone have questions about this let me know.

Cool room 18–20°C, blackout curtains, no screens 60 minutes pre bed, consistent sleep and wake times, caffeine cutoff 8 hours before bed, magnesium glycinate 200–400 mg before bed, zinc 25–30 mg with dinner, GABA or theanine 100–200 mg pre bed, limit fluids 2 hours before sleep, no heavy meals 2 hours before bed, use a fan for background sound. (though white noise is fine too I did both before)

Regarding my high estrogen levels, I think I've got them under control with 0.5mg armidex ED. Will get blood test next week to confirm.

Wondering if I should switch to aromasin after that.

Also regarding the minor gyno I may have, I'm thinking of taking the Nolvadex I got. Is this stuff bad? Like should I be really really certain I have new gyno to take it? And what would the dose be? 40mg/day?
I had some weird ugl nolvadex that made me feel HORRIBLE, but that may not be the case for you. If you start taking it and notice dark thoughts and really low mood, I find it helpful to remember that it’s just the chemicals playing tricks on me. Lots of other loggers taking nolvadex and not reporting this, could have been my product. I like aromasin. It’s the only actual AI I’ve taken. It works straight up, and I can’t even tell I’ve taken anything other than complete remission of acne and nipple sensitivity and improved bloodwork

i have a DC fan which is super quiet, you just hear the wind blowing. never buy an AC fan which has a loud motor

That's a really good point. Never even thought about a DC drive motor fan vs traditional. I know how much you hate motor hums so it makes sense lol

my DC ceiling fans i've had for years. i'm not even sure home depot even sells these anymore. they've gotten so cheap with their products.

had an electrician put it in a while back and he said i got ripped off for paying $500 for it. he was like "there is nothing special about it".. i told him its a DC fan and he didn't seem to understand until it got turned on and ran so quiet .

Good pull setup today. Keep the top T-bar row at 60 kg for 3x8 next session, then add 2.5–5 kg once all reps hit clean.

Rear delts you pumped well, so next time finish with cable hammer curls 3x10 and 1 burnout set of 15 for extra arm thick.

Does the EQ affect your appetite. My buddy at work says he eats all day when he does EQ. anyway keep it up man you are doing awesome

That's a shitty electrician lol

DC drives are more efficient, quieter, and longer lasting. DC motors are used in lots of products or machines we install.

I didn't even know there were DC residential fans. We install them in factories and warehouses because they last so much longer than AC fans. You pay more upfront but less long term because I don't have to keep coming back to replace them.

I didn't even know there were DC residential fans. We install them in factories and warehouses because they last so much longer than AC fans. You pay more upfront but less long term because I don't have to keep coming back to replace them.
yep the only issue i have had with mine after 20 years is the blades get bent and get eaten up by the humidity every time i move. they are probably due to be replaced.

Oh ya I've seen that in movies. The outdoor fans in Florida looking like a guy with ED lol. We don't get that up here.

A lot of the manufacturers use similar hole patterns for the blades. If you can't find something from the manufacturer of your fan you might be able to find something from a different company that works.

You'd think you could get whatever blade and drill it to suit, but you'd have to be super careful. The blades need to be properly balanced or with will wear out the motor.

Pretty good overall. Upped the weights on most things. Added an extra set to leg press with 20kg more. Back extensions the weight stayed the same but with more controlled reps.

I'm starting to get sick of crap sleep. It's not the worst but when I get a few nights in a row it's builds up.

I get to sleep very quickly but then wake and struggle to get back to sleep in the later part of the night (sleep perfect from say 8:30pm till 1-2am then struggle a bit after that).

I currently take magnesium, zinc, valerian, 5mg melatonin (some nights) and ashwaganda.

Is it rash to look at introducing HGH just for the sleep benefit? Maybe just 1UI/day. Otherwise, has anyone tried DSIP?
I recently added TMG (trimethyglycine) supp and It completely changed my sleep. I use to wake up every hour or so, very broken up sleep, now I sleep al through the night. 1mg of the NOW brand - up to 3 mg (2mg before bed) works like a charm for me.

But if I take 2 caps in the morning and 1 before bed, it worked well for me (lvlup brand)

Currently take 250mcg dsip most night and can confirm in my case a significant increase in full nights sleep. Proper sleep and waking up refreshed. Im the same brother have no dramas falling asleep but would find staying asleep difficult dsip changed everything. A big thanks to @Freki for sending me some to try! I havent looked back.

CBD helps me with both. I actually tried dropping the CBD recently because I thought my GH was doing the work but not so. The GH did still knock me out, but my sleep quality suffered without the CBD.

Plus it has so many other benefits.

I experimented with cbd for insomnia but got no benefits for tha, I even grew a cbd plant (Charlottes Widow strain) and atcually noticed affects but still didn't get anything I wanted. I tried a French CBD vape system called QWiN, juice smelt like it but zero affects. I haven't tried the topical creams for those problems tho, thats interesting.

However lots of people I know loved the plant and one of my friends grows that strain full time and makes sublingual oil for cancer patients and a bunch of them stopped taking opiate medication due to the cbd oil which i fojnd supprising but it was many people with serious issues, so I believe there's a lot of benefits to it, just none for me so far but that's cool, I've had a script for 40g MC flower a month for the last 3 years, just can't afford it at the moment.

Regular MC solves a lot of problems for me though and like @BeMe I kinda lost sight of that.

I ran out last week and I've got plans to spend all my money on whey powder, eggs and gathering up that stack for summer so I don't know what I'm gonna do about that for a while. Already had a whole sleepless night and im awake at 2am again right now and other things I thought had disappeared. Didn't atcually connect the two things at first.

I think it has many potential benefits to lifters too, like can control appetite a bit, sleep, and even just being able to RELAX and watch The fucking Simpsons and chill out on the couch for once would help some lifters. I've seen what being all wound up with stress on massive steriod stacks does to people, they don't recover and they don't grow like that and it must drive them and everyone around them nuts.

It also helped my friend with brain cancer a lot before he died, I talked to him extensively about how it's worked with his cancer pain and keeping neasea at bay and a few other things. He rated the CBD flower too. MC affects people widely differently though so nobody is really having the same reaction or experience so it's hard to compare. Same with CBD too.

Personally I love the sublingual oil the best. I never got the long lasting relief from smoking that I get from the oil. Plus having a mL of MCT oil is really good for you all on its own.

It's a joke that CBD is regulated here. I tried to get a prescription through an online place the other day. I said it was for sleep. They knocked me back because they said it's considered secondary treatment and I need to have tried something else through a GP first. I might try a different place and say anxiety this time. I've been prescribed Zoloft for that in the past so hopefully all good.

What state are you in bro? In Queensland and most statws it's unregulated if sold as "pet medicine", it's literally on the front counter at the IGA.

That's really interesting man, that's basically exactly what everyone else said. My friend who makes it for the charity is the most stereotypical stoner you could imagine, knee length dreadlocks, glazed eyes, slow speech. He came home and yelled 'oi those are my plants!' when the police raided his house once 😂 so I was kinda surprised when he got into this. Before he started growing the CBD strain he would take normal THC flower and bake it in the oven to evaporate the THC. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first say him vape up like 10oz of weed like that. And Oz costs $350 black market or $400 for new patent medical strains. And he talked about it like some crackhead stoner's think weed will end war and fix the economy but it turned out he had good reason. Like a cancer patient giving up their opiate pain med script is no small thing.

Then when our friend got brain cancer he found out about this charity, I think they're called Green Fairies, basically prior to medical legislation and still they would find these people who needed it who were often in respite care already, or bedridden in hospitals and just take them cbd and THC biscuits or whatever and he started making it for them. He does it full time for free and funds it with side painting jobs... it's unreal atcually but yeah, to say he believes in the benefits of CBD would be putting it mildly.

Good point about the oil and I have to say that taste with the green in there is so fucking nice, I don't know why people try and hide that. I ended up drinking the whole 30ml bottle he gave me in an evening just because it tasted great.

It's awesome you found something like that which works for you bro. Being someone on several long term medications with withdrawal profiles I can say it's not a great place to be.

You shouldn't need a whole story for either thing. We take medicine coz it works right, it helps you sleep, you qualify just for that.

Medicinal cannabis itself is the secondary medicine, it's how the law is structured. That's why the government won't pay for mine... yet.

Say you use it for both anxiety and sleep, this allows you more options as you can be prescribed a 'day time' medicine and 'night time medicine' (read: allowed twice as much shit 😂) there's a few key differences between Australia and NZ but on the whole it's better/easier in Oz, and you can get gummies and maybe vape juice too. Lots more approved strains too.

If you really do just want CBD then I'd probably just get it from the pet food scam or when I was trying it in Queensland I bought from an eBay vendor in Perth. If tou search doe "full spectrum cbd oil" on eBay there are many boutique vendors that make it. The pedfood stuff is in synthetic oil not mct oil but is usually also full spectrum.

Hey mate, a friend of mine linked me that website when I told him about being rejected. I think that is a lower dose and that's how they get away with it. Chatgpt tells me that low dose is OTC. If you look at that website, it is only 67mg of CBD/mL and 30mL per bottle.

Oh wow that's surprising it was them. Something must be up, usually they push cbd even if you don't need it. They came up with this bullshit called the "entourage effect" where if you have the most cannabanoids of all types on board they work better. About $75 a week in CBD being the sweet spot 😂 so for the people coming in for weed scripts they try their best to tack cbd onto it, as it's zero added risk and $400 more on thr script.

I never had it prescribed in Aus, literally got 1500mg full spectrum stuff from the local IGA and then eBay. You'll be able to solve this for sure man 😀 be awesome if it helps your anxiety bro, that zolof stuff sounds nasty, my old gf was on that and hated it.

Makes sense and well said, cannabis affects everyone differently based on endocannabinoid response. The CBD only side helps some for inflammation or anxiety but not always for sleep since that’s usually THC dependent. @vanlife_gymbum

For lifters, moderate use at night can help recovery by improving sleep quality and lowering cortisol. Just keep intake low enough not to blunt drive or appetite and treat it like any other recovery aid in the stack. Don't use it as a drug.
