Podcast Allupfromhere Interview

I was pleasantly surprised to see a new podcast interview with @Allupfromhere this morning! I'm really digging this interview series

I'm not sure why but I'd assigned him a Melbourne gangster accent in my head, like Alphonse Gangitano, the rich kid who watched Scarface then tried to become Tony Montana.

But he doesn't sound like that at all. It's a strong accent, they tease us with a long into before we can hear it 😂 fans of Aussie accents won't be disappointed.

I didn't know a lot of that stuff about you bro, I learnt a lot. And you don't need to be completely fucked up by alcohol to have it fuck you up, it's gnarly shit and will fuck you up one way or another. You don't need to be an alcoholic to walk away from it forever either. You've personally taught be several things and I was always inspired watching your logs and lifting. You've got a great attitude and it rubs off on people for sure.

It's a really great interview and I highly recommend checking it out here.

Man, I genuinely appreciate this more than you know. Hearing that the interview landed with you and that you took something away from it means a lot. I’ve never tried to be anything other than myself, so knowing the honesty came through is huge for me.

The stuff with alcohol… yeah, it’s wild how deep it can cut even when you’re not “that bad” by everyone else’s standards. Walking away from it was one of the best decisions I ever made, and if my experience helps even one person look at their own relationship with it differently, then it’s worth it.

And bro, the fact you’ve followed my logs and felt inspired by anything I’ve done that honestly humbles me. I’m just trying to show up, put in the work, and be a better human than I was yesterday. Hearing it rubs off on people hits me right in the chest.

Thank you for the support, the kind words, and for actually taking the time to watch the interview. Means more than I can put into words. 🙏🔥

I listened to your podcast this morning doing my cardio, really enjoyed it, I think most of us here have had similar experiences with the substances - I guess we just traded addictions but I would rather this one.

I am also from South Aus and love fishing and camping etc - really was a good listen man!

Yeah i have seen you talk about this before brother, feels crazy to hear you were like that when we only see the current version of you, doesnt feel like you could be like that. Its a good thing though shows we dont have to be imprisoned by our pasts.

Sure am mate, would never leave, I tried the city thing. Fell in love with the lifestyle up here, too late for this summer, but a full wake boat is on the cards for next.

Man, its good to raise kids to appreciate this stuff, there is so much fun to be had out in australia

For sure brother and its really good hearing other aussies on there too. The aus crew starting to really build up again and it shows.
It has picked up a bit recently, the Aussies showing the way

Brother the Murray is one of our favourite places we spend heaps of time up there in areas in our state but have seen a fair length of it. Coming back from the eyre peninsula went north and stayed renmark, then to robinvale as we were heading up towards combram barooga where we normally stay.
Been as far upstream as walwa right next to mount kosciuszko where it started but its a completely different river up that way. Water soo clear you can see into the future 🤣🤣🤣
