BCAAs are building blocks of protein but have relatively low to no real caloric content, so I wouldn't consider them a "meal" so to speak, if that's what you are asking
It depends on what you're Referring to taking.
If it's Peptides - BCAA's would be about the only thing that you could ingest.
As Carbs and Fats will have an Effect on most Peptides - Blunting the release of HGH.................................. JP
P.S.
A Specific example would help.
If you are referring to fasted cardio bcaas are fine.. However a lot of bcaa products will throw some simple sugars in there for easier and faster absorption, which really wouldn't be fasted. Just gotta read the label

Yeah Good Point,
The BCAA's I was referring to are Pharma-Grade with nothing added........................................ JP
P.S.
I keep forgetting that Companies add Sweeteners to some of them.
I don't see the Point in taking them if you are trying to do Fasted Cardio.
It's not empty but it's not like you just ate. It depends on if you have fat, protein or carbs. Just liquids is different as well. It depends on what you're taking and what exactly is in your stomach
