Boiled egg question.

Hello.
Very dumb question alert!
It's even dumb to me but I just can't get it outta my head since some douche at the gym told it to me.

I always boil a bunch of eggs and keep them in the fridge cuz it's just easier to grab a few and go when I want some whites then to cook eggs each and every time.

However , I mentioned this to a guy at my gym and he told me that this was no good cuz since the egg is boiled/cooked with the yolk still in it that the fats and other bad stuff from the yolk seep into the white, basically "contaminating" the white and screwing up it's nutritional content.

Now, this sounds like bro science at it's best to me, but I figured I'd ask just to be safe cuz now I'm paranoid that maybe I've been doing it wrong all this time.

Thanks in advance guys and again, sorry for the stupid question. It's just been nagging me since this moron told me this.
 
Boiled, scrambled, over easy really anyway you want to serve em up I will eat me some eggs .
 
Ya how the fuck does he figure that. Lol. That just seems dumb. Even tho the egg is raw the yolk which is basically the embryo is contained in a thin skin like a placenta. There is no way for the fat or cholesterol to transfer to the white. Idk. I'm calling bs on that.

just eat the whole egg... I never understood the whole avoiding the yolk myth. I thought you were going to ask about boiled eggs giving you gas which is true.. because when you boil the gasses can't escape the shell.

that's why I scramble them instead of boiling cause I don't want to go to the gym gassy.

and make sure you are buying humane friendly eggs which are stamped .. just cause it says cage free on the carton means absolutely nothing.
 
I love eggs me some eggs.

I like to get the egg whites in the carton available at your local grocery store. I put one or two whole eggs in a bowl and then pour in more whites from the carton.

Whip it up with a fork and put it in the pan. The color and taste is not as objectionable as pure whites that way.
 
No its not true. Its not even broscience true. No need to worry brother! If your still worried, buy egg whites and boil those ahead of time. They have organic egg whites in cartons.

I read the perfect way to boil an egg is poke a whole in the top. It lets the gasses escape and makes it easier to peel once it is finished.

I've read that boiling eggs at that high temperature can denature the protein, not sure how true that might be

if you fry food you are stripping the food of the nutrients.. its not a myth. taking an egg and over cooking it I don't see how that would be any different.. just imagine cooking a steak to the point where it turns to black ash then eating it. doesn't make much sense

I hate trying to peel an egg that won't give in. Usually end up throwing that bitch at the wall. Gets real messy doing that though. :(
 
I lose more eggs to this lol. Hate when i cant peel em. Buddy said to immediately run cold water over them after cooking for easier pealing. Havnt tried yet tho. Just been scrambling
 
I fry my eggs over med. Cause I don't like it runny.

I don't eat runny eggs either because it seems to go right through me when I do.

what you should do is put it in the pan with grapeseed oil spray then cover it and slow cook it, then flip it a couple times to make sure its fully cooked. vs. just frying it
 
Jesus....some of the shit you hear people say. That is complete bullshit. Some things when you cook you want to make sure you remove the fat from. Chicken for example. Always remove the skin otherwise it gets cooked into the chicken. To avoid that problem, buy boneless skinless breasts. Perfect BB food. Low fat, not carb, HIGH PROTEIN. Now eggs are the only thing better than chicken itself....PROVIDED YOU DONT EAT THE YOLKS. NEWSFLASH....THE YOLKS ARE BAD!. Egg whites are the cleanest, purest, protein in a food you can buy. Prove me wrong. The only drawback with egg whites is they have ZERO vitamins and minerals. ALL the vit and min are in the yolk. So, I usually have 1 yolk for every 8 whites. There is absoloutely no benifit to having more. All you are doing is consuming a great deal of fat and cholesterol which equates to calories and problems when taking AAS. Those that are eating 12 yolks a day ....FUCK!! Even if you take cholesterol out of the equation, you are not going to lean out doing that. Bulking diets are different. No one really seems to give a shit what they eat. However, if you are trying to drop down in BF and you are consuming egg yolks you are going in the wrong direction
