BPC157

deejal01

V.I.P.
EVO Logger
I have a torn labrum in my shoulder. I have had two rounds of PRP and they have helped tremendously. Today, while at my medspa doctor, he mentioned today xsosome stem cell and asked if I have ever tried BPC 157. No, never. I literally just saw that Steve posted a video a few days ago about BPC 157 and I am about to watch it after I eat these tacos.

For those who have used BPC 157, how were the results? Protocol?

I am going to search the forums, too.

@deejal01 good to see you back posting. EVO family missed you

my experience with bpc is it will speed up recovery, but it isn't something that will give you a miracle if its a major injury. but its worth trying

@deejal01 have you done an MRI on it? just to see how bad it is. bpc will help speed the process along but if it needs surgery then it needs surgery

Thanks my man. My life has been “life-ing” and it’s been quite hectic for the past 4 weeks. I am trying to purchase a home in Palm Springs and things have just become crazy. I wanted to step back on stage but I just cannot get myself in the right frame of mind. I was going to enter prep but I have a 2 week interruption (vacation) coming mid-July and, at 52, I want to enjoy vacation without having to count macros. I’ll be back in full glory soon.

I am also in the process of seeking a new prep coach.

Yes. MRI was about 6 months ago. My ortho had several options: tenytomy, PRP, xsos

The ortho had a few recommendations for me: tenytomy (insurance covers), stem cell (not insurance covered), PRP (not insurance covered) and I chose the PRP. The PRP at Beacon Orthopedic is $750 per injection. The first injection was simply quite amazing! It’s a very long needle and no anesthesia can be used. The needle is plunged into 3 areas of the shoulder under the guidance of ultrasound. The results, simply put, are amazing. My friend had it done 15 years ago in her knee and her knee is still feeling great! I waited three months and there was still an annoying pinch where the bone was hitting my rotator cuff and bursa. Side note: my rotator cuff is fully intact. So, I had a second injection and the response was definitely delayed, however, I now have full range of motion in my right shoulder. I have zero regrets and would do it again without hesitation. Final results may take 6-12 months. Every day is better than the previous.

My medspa doctor suggested the BPC 157 and shockwave. I have had shockwave therapy before at my chiropractor and the response was minimal. My chiropractor provided two sessions to see how I responded. Because the response was minimal, she said it would be a waste of money and time to purchase a package. Shockwave therapy is quite interesting, however!

Dr. Weldon also suggested exsosome therapy, too. Now, I get a little leery when a medical doctor who specializes in facial fillers, laser hair removal, hair restorationPRP, and everything cosmetic begins to recommend exsosome therapy; that’s not his specialty. Exsosome therapy is similar to stem cell therapy but alters slightly because exsosome therapy is sort of an aftermarket of stem cell therapy. I’m going to hold off on all of that right now because the PRP has been such a positive experience.

Yeah. MRI revealed the tear. Torn labrum is rarely repaired. Good news was that everything else inside the shoulder was completely intact. Bad news; torn labrum never heals in its own.

I have another MRI coming up on my left shoulder. I can feel the initial pinching and I am not going to wait like I did with my right shoulder.

The best news is that downtime isn’t best to help the tear. Stretching is the best, either. Although, I do go to StretchLab and my flexologist is gentle with my shoulders. My ortho, who is highly active (she climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro or some mountain), flat out told me to keep the strength training and do not alter too many exercises because then the other tendons will begin to compensate and then that could result in more injury. I have zero restrictions. Push days can be a bit messy but pull days are not affected.

I know I am rambling; the edible kicked in. If the upcoming MRI reveals a tear in the left shoulder, I actually might consider a stem cell therapy just to see how the PRP compares to stem cell. The PRP was great! It depends how much stem cell therapy costs.

I’ve used it a few times with good results, using it currently. It pairs really well with TB500.

I dose the BPC at 500mcg am and 500mcg pm.
Thats the combo im utilizing as well with good results.

@deejal01 Sounds like you have a good plan. The peptides definitely wouldn't hurt to try.

@deejal01 wow that sounds good. but $750 per injection is insane. i would hope it worked!
