Ok guys, I figure I should post something since I’ve been commenting. It only seems right that if I’m sharing information people want to know where it’s coming from.

I’ll try not to make this too long.

I have a very strenuous, dangerous, demanding career as a cable lineman running my own business and doing most of my own work. Over the first two decades I went from getting stronger and fitter every year to eventually working myself down to a skeleton. I was 150 pounds and 6’ tall. I was getting injured regularly.

So at about 36 years old I actually got tricked into being carnivore. Which was a huge help compared previously horrible diet. And that led me into the fitness world. Started lifting weights, and got stronger steadily for a couple years with no more injuries, but as I learned the very basics of barbell lifting, I was shocked to find that I’m pretty weak when it comes to lifting weights. My whole life people were shocked by how strong I am for my size.

So I learned about progressive overload, and because I was still working really hard, I’m probably not eating the best diet for getting super strong. I started hurting myself again. And then I found out about peptides, and then I talked to real people who were like yeah peptides are cool but they’re expensive and limited and what you really really want is testosterone. And I experimented with that, and nandrolone and a lot of peptides. Basically, as soon as I started taking androgens, I started feeling hypoglycemic, and I added things like rice and fruit to my diet

. Overall, everything I’ve been doing has been working really well, although I am currently having what I believe to be tendinitis flare in my left hand, which is something I’ll probably always have to deal with on and off.

I’m going to attach some recent pictures, workouts, and meals. I’ll do my best to keep up with it, and I am looking forward to advice from all of you. I had to figure all this stuff out on my own.

Some things I know I’m doing wrong right now are:
I haven’t gotten blood work in almost a year, my blood pressure isn’t always in check, I suspect that’s from coffee and Kratom mixed together, which is a vice. I haven’t been able to stop because I work myself way too hard sometimes.

Yes, I’m doing TRT, 30 mg TE daily. So 210mg/week. It’s Beligas, from domestic-supply, of course! That’s plenty for what I’m doing right now, as I haven’t made time for blood work, and although I do find time to lift I can’t be consistent enough to regularly lift more weight right now. My job does keep me very fit but it’s not the same as progressive overload.

Tricked into being carnivore

Well, some like, ten years ago now I herniated a disc in my neck. It really messed me up, I could not hardly do anything for like a year, I could never sleep from the nerve pain shooting down my arm, I couldn’t relax my traps, and my rhomboids were so sore it felt like I got hit with a bat. When I tried to do certain movements with my right arm, my whole right shoulder blade would pop out like teradactyl wing because the nerves were cut off so I couldn’t move right.

A good friend, actually my first gf ever from when we were kids😂, is a really smart chick. Her dad is a science professor from Taiwan. She told me I could see if something specific was inflaming me by eating red meat only and adding things back in one at a time. I was kind of a foodie, I loved going out and getting all types of Indian food, Lebanese, Jamaican, I grew up on Mexican food prepared from absolutely scratch by my Mexican grandmother, etc etc, so I thought eating only meat was obviously retarded and I would die of scurvy in like two weeks hahaha, but I’m fairly humble sometimes and recognize that she is much smarter and more informed than I am so I tried it.

Well. I guess I’m well suited to it because I felt better than I had maybe ever in my life within two days. Then I shit the bed, and then I basically didn’t fart again or have any stupid pain until I feel off once and ate a bunch of trash and regretted it so sorely that I didn’t eat one single non animal thing except kratom for four years!!!
I had to figure out how I wasn’t supposed to die of scurvy and stuff and that led me to the internet. I had been strictly off of all social media, no YouTube or any type of digital entertainment. I do somewhat regret that, but Pandora’s box is open and that’s the way it is now. I think I was like 6 months into being carnivore before I started following all the influencers, who I think are mostly dishonest narcissists. Al the best information was from The Fat of the Land (a 100 year old book you can get for free) and the things shared on the internet by Owsley Stanley before he died. You can find all that for free as well, without following any prima-donnas social media where they try to convince you they invented being carnivore. They didn’t. They read the same stuff I did, and then put their spin on it to make money.

As I mentioned earlier, as soon as I touched androgens I found I needed to eat carbohydrates , and I also tolerate them much better. I seem to have some sort of inflammation issue, so have degenerative disc disease, arthritis, lifelong IBS. Currently some kind of tendinitis flare up in my left arm. If If I eat strict carnivore I can be symptom free sometimes within a day. So that is an amazing tool for me that has really given me my life back, my career back, and I’m also active in a sport that would probably dox me if I said it. Not sure if I care yet, but as a person who’s been incarcerated and lost everything and got it all back twice…. I’m a little shy about that.

@toddthelineman you are looking great on this opening. Your job sounds really interesting. Maybe you can post a video or some pictures of the type of job you do.

@toddthelineman thats interesting, first time I heard of someone being tricked into carnivore lol :P It's a smart move to go mean and add things back to see, very straight up.

You are saying you can't use testosterone because you want to eat? we can mitigate this with retatrutide fairly easy. Have you considered it?

@toddthelineman Bros. I hear you across the board. I don't know if you know my story, but I am a plumber and years ago, I fell through the floor. Ended up on the bottom floor below. Got very injured and had to quit weight training for about 2 years, but now I came back strong.

No no, I am currently taking testosterone and will continue to. 210mg/week is my trt, I’ve gone higher but I don’t feel the need to. I don’t think I need any type of sema-tetra-tirza-or any other “tide”. I’ve had abs since I was a toddler. I can eat pizza and icecream and whole cheesecakes every single day, I will not get fat, but I will get very sick. Testosterone greatly helps my stomach for some reason. If I take more than like 350mg a week, I can eat absolutely anything with zero arthritis or whatever itis I would normally get.

Plumbing is so hardcore man. I grew up with ooooold steel pipes and we took them apart and cleaned them and reused them all. As a kid, that was a very vivid memory of all the thick, fishy build up. Gnarly. I just battled a bunch of clogged pipes under my concrete slab house. Yup. Concrete saw and sledge hammer right through the dining room. I let the pipes stay clogged long enough to make sure my adult kids were sorry and wouldn’t do it again. Do the dishes in the yard😂

Glad you got better. My recovery took sooooo long because it was a workers comp case and they were just… hoping I’d get hit by a bus or something?! They didn’t do shit. I suffered for years until I figured it out for myself. I hate the insurance companies. Never will I trust them ever, they are all horrible people, no one can change my mind

I'd like to see you meal prep :D but temp sushi will do.
I need to meal prep or I will fall into the absolute worst food habits. Whole bags of candy, gas station pizza, all that. Itll happen. I have a huge appetite and need to keep my weight up as my biggest priority, so I’ll post it and be accountable. I appreciate all of you. You can’t talk about this stuff to everyday people lol

You look really goodat 182, I think your perfect weight is 190 a big more mass :D but really tight arms, great chest and wide shoulders. @toddthelineman
Two years ago, when I was hitting my PRs and taking more gear, I peaked at 195 and I was maybe a bit watery but still lean. My arms have always been my best feature even when I was a skinny skater kid, I could arm wrestle someone and people would be like “did his arm just get bigger? Wtf was that?!” Hahaha. I have somewhat wide hips and being on T, plus doing squats and deadlifts, has thickened my body a lot and I look much better. I never really thought of myself as broad shouldered, I barely wear a large t shirt.

Lets get meal prep started this week. :D @toddthelineman
Otherwise food control is difficult and planning macros is hard without it.

And EVO family here to help you. WE talk about this all day LOL :P I know I do.

@toddthelineman If you have that body memory, that knows to be skinny, then you'll become skinny in no time. Just get back into it.

@toddthelineman This will be a really fun one to follow. We have a lot of guys on the Forum who also worked these types of jobs, It's a challenge but I know you'll be up to it.

@toddthelineman bros of course insurance bad people. nobody get into that biz who honest. when i had accident they didn't pay me anything either

@toddthelineman bro the plumbing i did was hard for sure. lots of times i was inches away from death hanging in places and changing pipes

I think what I ate today seems like something I can sustain without resorting to junk food, so I’m going to start planning around this as a model. 250g rice, 2 pounds of meat, six eggs, pound of fruit, as the staple? of my diet. The main courses? I haven’t done the numbers yet, but something close to 300g of protein, but this may be a lot less calories than I often eat, so I might end up gorging on pizza or something after a few days. We’ll see.

@toddthelineman you should add some protein bars if you need something sweet.
Immediately got hungry after writing this.
More yogurt, honey, cinnamon
You can do that or add a protein bar to help cravings.

I love it. I can eat way more steak than I can afford lol. I need to fill my freezer
bro you should raise own cattle like me. move to texas and buy a ranch next to me and i will show you how. plus you can put trailer on land and live rent/mortgage free. i got used trailer i can sell you just gotta replace carpet and get rid of smell and you good

@toddthelineman That's great. That you have some good blood pressure numbers, that's really hard to find, especially among bodybuilders. Keep up the good work. Nice updates. I like the different eggs.
Tbh my blood pressure isn’t always that good. I’ve been avoiding coffee and it seems to be helping, and I take telmisartan, and cialis, and it’s often higher in my right arm than my left. This is one reason why I’m not too rushed to raise my doses or take other compounds. A lot of people in my life are having heart attacks. I think I can do a lot more before I need to take more gear.

When I get really good sleep me blood pressure is always much better. That’s the most powerful factor I have found.

@toddthelineman blood pressure looks surprisingly good

I think a lot of bodybuilders need to do a better job of monitoring that number even though it's pretty scary. In most situations also resting heart rate is very solid. Good job.
My resting heart rate when I was younger and natty was in the low forties. I trained boxing with a friend who was golden gloves and ran with him quite a lot when we worked on the road together.

I get shin splints now and can barely tolerate much running, but I get absurd amounts of steps at work, sometimes over 28000, and that’s jogging, carrying, pulling, hills, climbing with weight on me and 10lb boots. In the winter it’s ridiculous. So I feel like I’m almost doing too much cardio sometimes.

Staying healthy and uninjured is my number one priority and my goal is really just reaching my own personal peak performance in any way I can get it.

@toddthelineman nice picture updates man. i like the different foods you have there. you cooked that meat to perfection for sure!
I cook most of my meat this way. It’s so much cheaper to buy the meat as roasts. Then it’s 500° for five minutes per pound, then leave it in the oven with the heat off for one hour. It comes out like this every single time. From little ones like these all the way to a whole prime rib.

And if I don’t eat the whole thing, I’ll cut it up and salt it and that’s my meal prep. I’ll bring it to work and leave it in the dashboard in a metal or glass container and it will be warm and delicious by the time I’m hungry.

This is actually my retirement plan. If that ever is possible. I’ve got the tiger by the tail with a fairly new business right now. If I stopped I would be out a lot. My kids are in college and living with me until they get adulthood dialed in. Once they fly away I’m turning my house into an Airbnb (it’s on a river with good boating and fishing) and I’m going to go as hard as possible building cable all over the country until the industry collapses again and then I’m out.

I was actually thinking bison, which I understand would be way over my head intially, but I can get material for the best possible fencing for free through my work. Old telephone poles and steel wire, plus the tools to install it I already have. So there’s that at least. I just like bison because they don’t follow rules. Anarchy cows lol

The little stuff that people forget when BB is discussed. 'It's all roids bro'. No. It's this
Mobster, it was the podcast that brought me here. I appreciate your feedback very much. Everyone checking in on me and giving feedback daily makes this log very rewarding.

In the course of my work I have seen many young men take gear because they felt like they weren’t strong enough. We had a guy everyone called “meathead” and he would hook you up. I never did do it though, I became a climber and being smaller was an advantage for me. We also had several collegiate athletes including the boss’s son who was an nfl hopeful. Those dudes were all sauced seriously. I remember going over to their apartment and they were all shaving each other😂. My whole career I had dudes telling me “you would look so good on gear”. But most of those dudes would just swell up on whatever they were taking(they probably didn’t even know) and they would get strong but then flabby, and I saw some gyno that a t shirt couldn’t hide. When I finally did start dabbling I had been actually lifting and learning how to actually lift like the big three, for four years. And because I had been injured and atrophied before that, people actually did think I was juicing before I ever did.

But I never successfully tracked my food for very long. I don’t have the best impulse control, and I’ve always felt that I should just eat as much as I can because I’m one of those people that will look like a head on a stick if I’m not force feeding myself.

I’m going to post physique update pictures soon. I already look better just from having less bloat and excellent digestion.

I’ll be doing blood work and heart imaging at some point, and deciding if I want to run some real gear in the fall. Right now, I know I will continue to progress for a couple months before I pass my PRs from two years ago. I hadn’t touched a barbell in a year as of April.

@toddthelineman Wow, this looks fantastic, man. You gotta love that food. Looks very Juicy and Delicious. Keep up the good work.
Thank you, man! I never miss a podcast. This whole thing is outstanding. Crazy to think if I had found something like this when I was young. This has to be one of the most positive spaces on the whole internet.

Yeah I think our project on here has turned out great. It’s a community of love ❤️ and respect for each other. And very knowledgeable

Nothing like social media or other sites full of hatred and jealousy

My blood pressure hasn’t been this consistently good in years. I’m not sure why. I’ve been sleeping really well, and that is probably what’s doing it, but I can’t fully explain that either. Dropping the coffee, and possibly from the pinealon I’ve been taking. Tendinitis was again better today, enough that I did my barbell curl warm ups, but I’m not trusting it with weight yet.

@toddthelineman shin splints are the worst. its more annoying then just breaking your leg lol

@toddthelineman food prep is on point!
Thank you! I’m getting there. I think I need to get a big ass smoker that doesn’t need to be watched all day. Idk how else I can prep for a week at a time. I’m still doing this daily or every other day, so I know I’m going to fail sooner or later. I’d like to make like, a whole brisket and a few chickens on sundays. Something like that. I’m not going to do a cycle until I can get everything else as close to perfect as possible.

My budget is total chaos, unfortunately, and will continue to be for some time. I’m in a very volatile business. So like, I could make anything happen one week, and the next week be scrambling to make things work. I need to marry an ugly accountant like my dad did lol.

I gives o thought some smokers are set up with WiFi or something so I don’t have to be constantly attending it. That would never work for me. I can’t even sit still haha

I understand, in that case, best you buy food in bulk and prep for 2-3 weeks. :D

I must already spend $200-300 a week feeding myself by the time it all adds up. I’d like to spend less and eat better honestly. I’m never going to earn money off a physique, although my fitness and health does pay me back.

Blood pressure even better than before, and that’s my left arm, where it’s usually higher. I can’t explain this, but it’s very encouraging. The first time I found hbp was after listening to a podcast talking about hgh sometimes causing it. I had gotten some blue tops, and was just using 2iu a day. I checked my blood pressure for the first time and it was in the 150s, and I could not get it below 140s after stopping hgh, and then getting lisinopril I was in the 130s, and that’s where it stayed for the last couple years. I have a few notebooks where I scrawled down a lot of information, but right now I think the major contributors are great sleep, and probably lower estrogen as I’m on such a mild trt dose whereas I used to run 250+ a week. I’m going to schedule bloodwork to see where I’m at since this looks so good and I want to keep my blood pressure like this even if I run a little blast or some gh

@toddthelineman food is on point now but fats a bit high, cut them to around 100 grams IMO

@toddthelineman bro only time my blood pressure good is after i done with lot lizard lol
otherwise it always high. but then again i use tren as my base

Couldn’t lift today. 8 hours at work and another three waterskiing. I was huuuuungry all day, but I am not sure I was under eating. I slept like shit last night, today my blood pressure was up, and I had to try a few times to get a number under 130. So that confirms my suspicion that my blood pressure is directly link to my sleep quality.

@toddthelineman Oh wow, man. That's a good update right there. Very cool stuff with the rice. I know rice can be very heavy, that's why it's expensive. If you buy it already cooked,
I’ve been buying dry organic white rice and cooking the whole bag. So that’s maybe $13 a week. Not too bad. I’ll warm it up on the microwave or reheat it in a pan with a tab of butter

I’ve been considering dropping my fat intake as an experiment, but it would change the way I eat quite a bit, so it’ll take sure figuring out. I’m looking leaner already in just a week because I haven’t really pigged out on anything like I often had been.

For now, I’m going to stay the course until I get bloodwork, and then make changes with a goal in mind.
You have some BP tracking for us?
I’ve been posting it daily. It’s been really good. My old logs are all on paper, abbreviated heavily, so that only I can read it. It’s going to take time to go through it all
