Who takes or has taken Digestive Enzymes?
Do you feel they offer(ed) any benefit?

I already take 1100mg Ginger Root w/ my 1lb Cottage Cheese (60g protein) right before I go to bed, but I was thinking of adding "NOW" Super Digestive Enzymes w/ my first 2 whole-food meals to aid in the breakdown/absorption of nutrients.

Any benefit???

I have in the past. Check out products with gut friendly bacteria / probiotics.

i keep a bottle in case i am going to eat out or a large meal

if you are depending on them everyday though then you need to seriously alter your diet. throwing food at your body that you cannot digest without an enzyme is a sure fire way to destroy your gut health

Ginger root haven't digestive enzymes. If you want to increase digestion you need enzymes themselfs or stimulators of pancreas.
Enzymes from pancreas of animals. In Russia that pharmacy called pancreatine(панкреатин). Or enzymes from plants, for example papaine(for breakdown of some kinds proteins).
My choosing is pancreatine. It have various proportions of enzymes. For breakdown of protein, polysacharides and fats. If you wand using plant's enzymes you need make hard mix of it, to breakdown all kinds of energetic compounds.
I used it for years and effect is visible in here and now. Especially if your own pancreas is overloaded - by inhibitors of enzymes(as in soy) or large quantity of food.

Also you may be want to stimulate bile secretion(for better absorbtion of fats) and/or gastric juice. But there only need if you have obvious problems, IMHO. Fatty stool for example

LOL
"Both ginger and cumin lowered the activities of most of the pancreatic enzymes when given as a single oral dose"
