Veteran Log First Testosterone Cycle Log

I am fukn pumped!

I just hit a 2 plate bench for the first time ever in my life. Then hit 235lbs right after. The failed 245 lol.

The last time I did 1 rep maxes was a mock meet I did about a year ago and I hit 440 deadlift, 380 squat and 195 bench.

I have long arms and a shoulder surgery that's kept my bench weak forever. 2 years of grinding before that mock meet and I barely put 10lbs on the bar.

Now this year I changed up my bench technique and being on cycle now for 11 weeks I got curious and man am I happy right now. I can finally say I got the 4 3 2. So happy

Final cycle phase starting.
300 test/ 250 Primo/ 300 NPP/ 30 Var/ 25 Proviron

I didn't increase my Primo because I didn't see the point with only 4 weeks left in my cycle. Maybe I'm wrong? If so please let me know. My thinking was my test in estrogen are in pretty good balance right now so why mess with it and 50mgs of extra primo probably won't even be felt until after my cycle is over.


First time pinning my pec last night. Think it went pretty smoothly. No pain this morning. Thanks @stevesmi for the great advice on that one.

Sky looks orange this morning, more forest fire smoke in the air again. Gonna rearrange my work schedule to work more indoors today. Working in the heat and smoke is pretty brutal on your respiratory system.

Recovery is very high today. Yesterday was a high output work day and my Whoop strap said I over reached and pushed my limits. Then I did my back day lol.


Messed up my pre-workout routine and I was pretty tired so no progression yesterday. Basically all the same numbers as last week

Ya it's still weak in the overall picture but for me it's big all things considered. I think the bodybuilding training with all the variation is helping correct some imbalances I have. That shoulder surgery really messed me up. The 5 surgeries on my right arm probably don't help either lol.

My plan is to have my wife keep tabs on me just incase I start getting wild again and don't realize it. The NPP I'm on now has fueled up my aggression a bit but I caught myself and just count to 10 and chill. @BodyMonster34

It's crazy how much just counting to 10 can help

Thanks bro.

I know it's not a lot, and it's kinda silly that it matters so much for some reason, but a 2 plate bench is always one of those must haves as a weight lifter and I never thought I'd get it with all my issues. I got the 4 plate dead and 3 plate squat so easy but the 2 plate bench always seemed unobtanium for me.

The 2 plate was really the last number I really cared about hitting. From now on everything is gravy lol

Is my logic sound regarding not upping my primo. My thinking was adding 50mg a week for the last 4 weeks wouldn't have any noticeable change because the amount of time it takes to kick in.

It's crazy I'm on information overload lol.

I'm reading mobsters tips thread right now, while listening through all the backlog podcasts, and reading people's logs. What I know know vs just a few months ago is unreal. Evo has been an unreal resource.

I'll definitely give that EQ thread a read. EQ, Tren, and Mast are top of my list for next cycle. @LevButlerov

Ya I remember looking into l-carnitine years ago and that's what I heard...waste of money. No benefits other than superficial pumps was the conclusion from what I saw. @LevButlerov

I think @BeMe is a very level headed guy. Top tren candidate. Also has good bloodwork without medication or excessive supplements, but I didn’t examine everything he’s doing.

I aspire to be level headed, and I can be pretty solid when things get hairy, but no tren for me. I would need a team of people protecting me from my own impulsive tendencies and everything else. I bet I would look super crazy though

In Mexico they made guns illegal, and if your neighbor rats you out for having guns, the army will show up at your house and torture you until they are satisfied. This can happen anywhere under the right circumstances. Of course, this type of government action has done more to empower criminal enterprises than anything.

That sucks that Toronto has become that way. That’s the kind of stuff I grew up around. There was a drive by shooting at my sister’s high school years ago. Unloaded a clip on the PE class. Killed a kid. Our police force has military grade equipment and they use it. When a cop here shoots a criminal, no one complains really. People are sick of the robberies

I think people say l-carnitine is a fat burner. It hurts to inject. I just used up the last of what I had, and won’t probably get more. Definitely pros do use it. Maybe when you’re looking to get even the most fractional results, things can be more noticeable.

Counting to 10 and breathing helped me a lot back in the day. I don't have to do it as often these days cuz of it. I think my wife had a real calming effect on me too. The me from 10 years ago would've been a menace to society on Tren.

But then it goes too far and society degrades and all that woke is meaningless in the face of chaos.

Yea the world is always swinging too hard one way or the other. That's what I miss about Canada. It's used to be a truly centerists country. People didn't disagree on much. Usually it was just where and how much the government should spend. Everything else we were all in total agreement.

Law of the jungle would be good to a point, but compassion and support of people worse off than you is also important too. Life should always be about balance, but we've forgotten about that somewhere along the way. I blame the media, especially social media, and the government.

Recovery was decent yesterday. Had some heavy work days and yesterday was my 3rd day in a row training and I was pretty tired. Still had good progression though. Upped weight or reps on a few sets, so all in all pretty good.

Tried my first pec injection Wednesday night and it went pretty smooth. All was well until I started training. As soon as I hit my first set of dips it got a little sore and still is today. Nothing too bad, just feels like muscle soreness after a heavy chest workout. I'm happy to have a new injection site now. I think a 6 site rotation will work well. I'm injecting 3 times a week now so I can do right side one week then left side the next. With my new Wednesday injection I only did the 100mg of NPP but I think from now on I'll just do all my compounds on all 3 days split up evenly. Up my primo to 260 to keep it easier and I think that will work well.

you're more new, hitting chest is pro level and you can hit all sorts of wrong things in the chest
again seems right but say with glutes, delts, bis, tris, lats, those are the best and easiest @BeMe

Straight up from the nipple and toward the center a bit, flex pecs, feel for peak of the pec muscle, pin there. I can feel the spot he's talking about pretty easily.

Seemed pretty straightforward with such clear instructions and pics from @stevesmi

I need my delts and lats for work, can't afford to damage them by pinning.

Ya I thought it went really well and your instructions were really clear and easy to follow. I pinned for the first time a couple days ago and I thought it went really well and super convenient like you said @stevesmi

I tried a Google search to find any reasons why intramuscular injections in the pec might be dangerous but I couldn't find a single thing.

you gotta go 6 inches to get anywhere close to the heart. the needles we use are 1.5" max and most of us use 1" so you aren't gonna risk coming anywhere close

@BeMe i would say when it comes to injecting spots is try different muscles. see which ones suit you.
you can pin before a training session and try it. but some people don't react well
I usually pin at night after dinner. So the nearest training session after I pin is probably 18hrs away.

You're running a pretty serious stack, where do you like to pin bro? @2Thick

bros that a funny question. over years i've changed where i pin. overall i like the bigger muscles. quads, pecs, delts, lats, ventro, glutes. i used to pin in arms too

Left left you worry cuz your heart?

I tried my right pec and I loved it. So convenient. Easy to hold steady, felt in total control. All was smooth but the next day when I was training I got a bit of soreness but not bad at all.

I like ventro, but the bigger my chest gets the harder it gets to twist and pin. I'm not a fan of pinning with 1 hand cuz I like to steady the syringe with 1 hand and plunge with the other. The few times I've pinned with 1 hand only I've gotten pretty sore after.

@BeMe Everybody is going to react differently to injection spots. Everyone likes to do the glutes, but I hate the glutes. That's just one example.
 
Log Day 84

Last rest day of the week and I was pretty tired so I took it easy. Got just under 10k steps from work and a long trail walk the wife and dogs last night.

Recovery has been really on point this week. Looking back through my tracking it looks like from week 2 on the NPP til now my recovery has been much improved. It will be interesting to see how this changes now that I've added an extra 100mg a week of NPP this week and my training starts to ramp up.

Bodyweight seems to be stuck around 187lbs these past 2 weeks. I've been eating what used to be surplus calories pretty consistently over these weeks but the scale isn't moving. This week I averaged 4135kcal. Not sure how I could possibly eat more without changing my diet to more high cal food.

I had a shot in my glute that had me thinking I was injured. Test prop. That stuff sucks. Idk why I never see people pinning their hip flexor. It’s up front, painless as far as I can tell. I don’t usually pin oils more than a ml at a time, and usually much less. So I can pin almost anywhere. I don’t like quads. Too nervy. Makes you jump. I’ve pinned traps before. That was fine. Love the ventroglute. Mainly I use the glute for large injections. Which kind of sucks because my hands and wrists are trainwrecks, and 3ml and larger syringes are hard to press, so I’m having to reset my hand multiple times.

I wanted to try the n2bm stuff but I couldn't find anyone that sells in Canada. I think there was one guy on eBay selling that would ship to Canada but the prices were kind of crazy
 
@stevesmi advised I should use my pecs during our consult. He even sent me a website with diagrams and gave me a really good explanation. Straight up from the nipple and toward the center a bit, flex pecs, feel for peak of the pec muscle, pin there. I can feel the spot he's talking about pretty easily.

I need my delts and lats for work, can't afford to damage them by pinning.

Bi' s and tri's sound interesting and could work, but Steve was really adamant that PEC is the best option for me.

Ya I thought it went really well and your instructions were really clear and easy to follow. I pinned for the first time a couple days ago and I thought it went really well and super convenient like you said @stevesmi

I tried a Google search to find any reasons why intramuscular injections in the pec might be dangerous but I couldn't find a single thing.

It would only get lumpy from scar tissue right? But I shouldn't get scar tissue is I do a job job pinning and rotating

Left left you worry cuz your heart?

I tried my right pec and I loved it. So convenient. Easy to hold steady, felt in total control. All was smooth but the next day when I was training I got a bit of soreness but not bad at all.

I like ventro, but the bigger my chest gets the harder it gets to twist and pin. I'm not a fan of pinning with 1 hand cuz I like to steady the syringe with 1 hand and plunge with the other. The few times I've pinned with 1 hand only I've gotten pretty sore after.

Thanks for taking the time to answer bro. The main reason I joined EVO is to learn from guys like you. I'm a contractor and apprenticeships are how we learn. Ask questions and listen to what the guys who've done it before are telling you.

I'm here to be a sponge and absorb as much info as people are willing to share. Hopefully I'm not being annoying lol. I read your log and you're obviously doing this at a really high level and your results show it. I can learn a lot from someone like you. I'm not much for book learning, but when someone tells me or shows me something my brain can hold onto it forever.

Even when your wife is pinning you your left doesn't like it?

My left never goes as good as my right but I'm pinning myself or wife assisted and I think it has to do with the left being my non dominant side.

Maybe there's something else too it tho like you say.

Log day 85

Solid day of training making some steady progression and hitting most of my targets. Nothing crazy but decent. Trained earlier then usual to free up the rest of my day for some fun outdoor with the wife. Got about 2hrs of riding in, took the dogs on a long walk, great day.

Ordered in last night and I was pretty hungry when we ordered and I ate like shit lol. Ate almost a pound of BBQ brisket and about a quarter pound of pulled pork...with french fries. Pretty high fat dinner and I paid the price today. I didn't eat the visible fat but the brisket was literally floating in fat...tasted great tho.

My recovery tanked today, sleep was off, body temp over night was up, RHR was up during sleep as well. My body was probably working hard to digest all that fat. Not the end of the world to have a cheat meal once and a while tho. Atleast I didn't eat the dinner rolls that came with it haha.

Saw a guy at O’hare airport who was all lumpy from synthol or implants or something, and you could see that he had been huuuumongous, but had completely atrophied. It was a real spectacle man🫣

I think pec injections can work if you do them right, but I tend to side with @Npcclassicphysique champ only do it if you need to step on stage.
It's easier to pin shoulders (delts), arms (bis/tris) and lats, with the tried and tested glutes too.
 
Log Day 83

Recovery was decent yesterday. Had some heavy work days and yesterday was my 3rd day in a row training and I was pretty tired. Still had good progression though. Upped weight or reps on a few sets, so all in all pretty good.

Tried my first pec injection Wednesday night and it went pretty smooth. All was well until I started training. As soon as I hit my first set of dips it got a little sore and still is today. Nothing too bad, just feels like muscle soreness after a heavy chest workout. I'm happy to have a new injection site now. I think a 6 site rotation will work well. I'm injecting 3 times a week now so I can do right side one week then left side the next. With my new Wednesday injection I only did the 100mg of NPP but I think from now on I'll just do all my compounds on all 3 days split up evenly. Up my primo to 260 to keep it easier and I think that will work well.

Delts are a no go for me because my work is overhead a lot. Can't afford a bad pin messing with my work.

Bis/tris could work but @Mobster says you can't pin a muscle you're training and I do a 5 day split so my bis/tris are getting some work on pretty much everyday.

I guess that leaves lats maybe.

Have you had bad PIP before? I have, but it’s been the longest time, and it was always something known to be painful like test prop, l carnitine, ghk-cu. I don’t always work over my head, usually chest level, or from the ground, but holy shit do I use my shoulders so much and I don’t worry about pinning delts. I wouldn’t worry at all about an ml of test e with a 27g pin in my shoulder. It’s such a convenient place. I am a pin cushion at this point and I may be forgetting… maybe I did used to get pain more often? Only one time it was bad enough that I was really worried and thought I shouldn’t be working like that

I do a lot of lighting work, so working overhead for long periods of time. A little bit of soreness for a heavy delt session makes work shittier, so a bad pin would really mess me up. Ventro glutes I can hit with 2 hands, same with pecs which is kinda why I liked it. My wife helps work the plunger when I do my glutes and that's 50/50 whether it goes well or not lol. A sore ass I can deal with tho.

I heard you can get auto injectors for test… my hands are shaky too. My left had can’t even turn small screws and stuff anymore. And when I was new to injecting I shook bad and was really bad at it. I dropped a 10ml syringe with a 1.5” 25g needle into my foot bro. I was like “what am I doing with my life?” Hahaha
 
Log Day 86

Pretty stiff this morning after yesterday's workout. Feeling pretty tired but according to my trackers I slept pretty well.

Had a ton of office work to do yesterday for the end of Q2 and it messed up my eating schedule. Had to jam most of my eating into a short period of time between 4-8pm. It was pretty surprising how much I was able to eat, even when I thought I was full. Guess that's the NPP at work.

Training was pretty strong yesterday. That was a 2 RIR day but I cheated and took the squats and deadlifts to 1 RIR cuz I'm a meat head. Shoulders, back, and knees are feeling it today.
