I don't usually post on a Sunday but it's been an interesting morning and it's not even 11am yet.

One of two (the other is brand new, made to order and due soon) Saxon Bars just arrived (see pic)

So out comes the calculator for 1 of the challenges I set myself. One is the upcoming September 'cut'. To be followed by, in late November, a 'bulk/power' cycle. Arrived Sunday was the Saxon bar I trained with Lewis Graddon/Phillips on. The new one, by MagniGrip. arrives tomorrow. My PB was 112.5kg so I've calculated the percentages for a 7 week attack to take me to 115kg (the current WR is 132.5kg)

to 82.5kg/181lbs x 6 reps (no touch to pins)

Saxon Bar
bar (12.5kg/26lbs@) x 8 reps, 42.5kg/93.5lbs x 6 reps, 69.25kg/ 152.5lbs (as close as I could get it to the target weight - the additional load was on my RH/dominant side) x 3 (hands off / on), then 3 n/s (hands stayed on) followed by 10 reps. Easy

Bwt: 324.7lbs

That slight tweak in my back was a little better. Took a pain killer and the walk to the gym helped - as did the rows. @ Powerhouse Gym with Ken (back from hols)

Close Grip Bench Press
to 140kg/308lbs x 6, 7 and (equal to my old PB) 8 reps

Double ratio machine so...
200kg / 20 stack plates (eqv to 120kg/264lbs)

I've been doing mine on the arsenal machine. Would highly suggest if you have one around.
I wish. I'm not sure if any gym here in the UK has their products (ironic as to the role originally Welsh BB Flex Lewis plays in Arsenal) . If I win the lotto tonight there's a branded gym company here I'd have build me some bits of gym kit to my design. By way of example I have a low row machine in my gym which goes to 150kg/330lbs and is a single ratio cable set up. But you used to be able to buy similar machines with 450lb stacks. PowerTec has a plate loaded version which can take 500lbs... now we're talking lol

The only reason I'm doing 20 reps is cos I can. Had the stack been heavier I'd do more weight for less reps. I like to mix a back movement in not for BB reasons (feeling huge in the chest etc) but because it aids my bench press. A pumped and strong upper back is what you push off when you bench. You'll see top bench specialists do this and rear delt work. That and heavy tricep work (see Thursday)

Most gym users don't use a Low Row properly. I'll vary the handle I use - from the V type where my hands are 6-inches apart to a full length lat pulldown type bar. Today was a medium width Mag Grip type handle. No1 tip is a LITTLE forward stretch. No 2 is elbows back AND chest high.

I live hours from the nearest commercial gym, but on the other hand, I have numerous barn buildings, so I have a good bit of experience buying stuff from a lot of these places. The Arsenal stuff I have is really good, but it is no better in leverages, and worse in execution, than Watson that you guys have out there. Not cheap, but nice people to work with, and they finish projects on time, which is rare in the industry. I’d put them second only to Atlantis, which is always the best choice.

My lotto dream would be a small holding with outbuildings and one as a gym. I've half an eye open for the 4 pin Watson Leg Press on marketplace
 
Watson does some clever things that others miss. Even just raising their 45 degree hyper up lets you have plenty of ROM for using a barbell, where with all the others you run out of real estate at the bottom. We don’t see a lot of their bigger pieces over here, just because of shipping costs, but their new version of the pendulum squat looks really nice as well.

Offering more made to measure options. Their pac man line as well as thick handle dumbbell options. Not cheap but it starts to feel worthwhile

Along with the obviously great ROM and biomechanics it allows for, it also makes dumbbells that are still easy to kick into position very challenging at around 10 reps since it overloads the bottom so much, where normally a challenging 10 rep bell is a pain in the ass to kick up into place.

Ironically I bought a fat pad Mirafit flat bench at the beginning of Covid and we all used it and since the gyms reopened it's gathered dust. The covering is done in such a way as to 'grab' the upper back when benching. I was think of the 'pac man' adjustable angle Hack Squat
 
When I start the cut I'll run a log for that copying the info into this one. But here's what I've done so far (there's a few little bits left to do). The cut will be 4 weeks/28 days

Nutrition
I've stocked up on salmon. I've some frozen and a bunch of tinned (21 tins of 213g/approx 4oz). I've tray of frozen chicken breast and I might need a few more. I've bunch of brown and white rice. I'll be switching between that or all vegetables. The more veg I eat the less water I'll store. I'll either measure (using a cup) or weight my food which I don't do usually. I'll up my fruit a little.

Out of gym activity
I'll up my steps. I average two walks a day and over the week that comes out to 6000 a day. I'll try and up that to 8000 av a day. Less strolling along enjoying nature and more fat burning

PEDs etc
As previously discussed it's a ParaPharma Cut 150. As I've never used ANY of the AAS in the forms this comes in (Testosterone Prop 50mg/ml, Trenbolone Ace 50mg/ml, Drostanolone P (Masteron) 50mg/ml) there might be issues with either PIP (they're all shorter esters) or the tren side effects. So... I'll probably go with 1ml day 1. Just to see how I get on. The plan will then be to up it to 3x a week. I bought pins, syringes and a sharps bin from eBay and Amazon. I've a ton of stuff I can rub on my skin.

I suspect the real problems is gonna be actually pinning myself as frequently as will be required. It'll be more than I've done in the past. Then just plain being hungry lol. Followed my getting used to less carbs (esp when walking and training) and LOT cleaner diet. The pluses should be, ignoring any tren issues, just being lighter.

I'll take shirt and shorts on pics. I'm NOT (not for years) a bodybuilder but I will get (or should) leaner in my arms, forearms, quads etc. I can see separation in those now and that's with my power/ice cream belly. So seeing more muscle popping will be amazing. No1 aim is weight loss. I think 10lbs is the minimum (so an av of about 315lbs down from av of 325lbs at the mo). I'll stay on my current training prog on the saxon bar (cos that's just started) and if Tren is as good as others claim I might even see other lifts climb although, worst case, is I'll just try to maintain.

That's where I am today. Adjustments etc will be added.

`100%. Never used Masteron either. And while I HAVE used test never prop. I actually expect to see a little strength boost. Hopefully my stomach shrinking will be the No1 difference

to 75kg/165lbs (tgt was 74.75) x 3, 3 (both these sets were hands off and a step back each time, 3 non stop reps, 3 hands open and close reps. Last set was 10 hands on throughout reps (could have done 12). No belt etc

In smooth like a knife through hot butter. So far zero PIP. Right now the plan is 3 jabs a week but I MIGHT go to EOD (a little under 800mg a week). It'll be down to sides and or PIP

10kg per x 12 reps, 15kg per x 12 reps, 20kg/44lbs (new weight on this plan) 5 x 8 reps. I work on the contraction here. Then dropped to 7.5kg/16lbs x 20 reps

Coffee at gym. Humid and I felt sluggish (not the food etc as I literally just started lol). Trained with Ken. Slight delay waiting on Shay. Saw Kirk too. I'll be donating my other Saxon bar to the gym. I was also offered a free ticket to the Giants Live Deadlift event in Cardiff (£25000 if someone pulls 505kg) by the former IFBB Pro. Very kind but I said let someone else have it

Minor tweaks. I added protein (tin of salmon) to a meal deal. Precooked some chicken breasts (4) in a bag. Still a bit hard to finish off. Needed a little more veg too (mex style mix - low cal so not an issue)
