Newbie Intro

New member
New to this forum. Late 30's, 6' 235lbs @20% BF, been lifting since high school. I've never run gear and I'm looking to educate myself thoroughly before I do. Been lurking around for a bit and think this is a great resource. Looking for info on everything from supplements, diet, workouts, gear, etc. My goal is to put on some serious size. People tell me i'm already pretty big but I just don't see it. Not afraid of needles or orals, so anything goes. Gonna try getting TRT so at least I have a legit prescription. Any help will be appreciated and I'll do my best to do some research before I ask questions.

Welcome Brother! From someone that is 5'7" 185 lbs...yes, you are pretty big! Good luck with your goals and make sure to keep a log if you decide to run gear at some point.
 
Welcome! I'm on TRT myself. It nice to have a legit prescription. You have to time your cycles between the routine dr visits, which start at every 3 months and then usually every 6 after they dial in your dose correctly.

Cut that BF% down from 20 to 10%.

Welcome to EVO. First and foremost you should concentrate on getting into better shape before starting a cycle. Get your bodyfat down to 12-15% at least.
 
Thank you all for the welcome. I know the BF % is high, but it's winter, I'm bulking ;) Seriously, I'm not sure if I want to cut body fat first or rev up the engine with some heavy basic lifts. Definitely not starting a cycle soon. I want to build a firm (not 20% squishy) foundation before running anything. Even then I'll probably start conservative with a simple run of test-e. Going in for a vasectomy soon, so lifting of any kind will have to wait. Thanks again for greetings

My thought is this; start with TRT (if the doc will prescribe, I don't even know what my T level is, never had it tested), hypothetically lets say I'm around 250-300, see what type of dose he puts me on (probably very low for starters) see how my body reacts to the low dose of pharmaceutical grade test (I see what my body does, if anything, and I get to feel what good quality testosterone feels like) as well as get educated on injection techniques all under the care of a doctor. With this knowledge, and what I gain from the research I do on my own, I believe I will be better able to venture into AAS without falling prey to some of the common pitfalls of beginners. Know the tricky part will be timing blood tests that my TRT doc will schedule with cycles that I run myself, allowing enough time to pass so that my normal test production will have returned as well as some of the other "markers" (cholesterol, RBC count, liver enzymes, etc) being within normal ranges.

HELL NO!!! DON"T YOU THAT!!! Are you knocking up every pussy you get? Then stop it! Do Not get a VAS! This is going to definitely interfere with any and all muscular gains in the future.

I appreciate the concern bro, but the procedure happened a couple of days ago. I'm not concerned about the procedure effecting my long term goals in the gym though. Tell me why you believe this procedure will interfere. Maybe some other fellas can chime in here regarding their gains after having a vasectomy. I know in the short term it will, I can't go to the gym for a week and will not go back to lifting heavy for two weeks, but beyond that I don't see how having a vasectomy will cause a problem in the gym.

what are your test levels? if you want to get on trt you need to get blood tests for starts.
