I am going through this situation, I actually started a thread on it. I won't go into all the details again but basically I got covid about midway through mt test and eq blast. I'm on TRT which makes a difference in my opinion because recovery isn't an issue.
I lost 20 lbs the week I was totally down with covid and I was out of the gym for 3 weeks total.
My first week back in the gym was hell, I almost wanted to give up. Everything felt like a ton of bricks. My last chest session before covid I was benching 305 for reps and my first workout after I struggled with 8x185. My body just felt so weak and frail. I also got winded super easy and had trouble catching my breath.
This week was my second week back and it was a noticeable difference. My stamina has increased some, the weights are feeling lighter, I've put some weight back on and I'm looking better. I'm actually looking forward to next week.
I was close to dropping my blast but I decided to stick it out. Maybe it is sort of a waste and I know I'm not getting the most out of it. But I feel its helping me push through these rough weeks and it has helped somewhat to prevent some muscle loss.
Now as someone mentioned above if I was on Tren it would be a totally different story. I also may have a different mindset if I wasn't on TRT.
