@ugfreak

Hello everyone hope you all are doing well, I just got over being sick a few days ago and back on the grind. I was sick for about a week, thankfully it cleared up quick.

I worked out Wednesday and Thursday so far hitting my pull and push days. I went alot less volume and weight so I could just get back into the swing of things.

Meal prepping is going good, I cooked 22 meals when I was sick and froze them so I was prepared for my return.

Current weight is 226lbs and I have now begun to eat in a calorie deficit so I can cut and get lean.

Current calories daily is 2,290 I eat the same meals and same foods everyday so this won't ever change, until I need to cut calories more when progression stops.

Some people asked for some photos when I'm in the gym so I took some tonight, I'm very proud my front delt veins are starting to come in again, as well as other areas.

I average 4 meals a day + 1 protein shake to hit my target goals for this cut, fats need to be a little higher so I will end up adding 1 avocado in each day to boost that number.

Foods consist of 93/7 turkey 93/7 beef boneless skinless chicken breast broccoli/green beans
tuna & brown rice & one protein shake

water will be keep at (2-3 L ) each day.

Calories 2,290
Fat 71.5g
Fiber 23g
Carbs 160g
Sugar 1g
Protein 229g

@ugfreak

I find myself in a really good spot right now with my diet, my meal prepping is consistent week after week I'm staying ahead of the curve on that.

My calories are at a nice starting deficit and cardio I'm keeping at 45 minutes a day 3-4 times a week, the goal is a slow burn long term get lean, im in no hurry quality over quantity.

@gearhead Who is coaching me is 95% happy with my macors he didn't like my fats being so low typically in the 50-70g range daily. He advised me to pick up walnuts and avocado so coach orders it coach gets it. My calories will go up slightly not concerned still will be in a deficit easily.

He calls me on my nonsense if need be he praises me for my hard work and transparency as I am 100% open and honest with him ( it won't work if your not, no point in having a coach if you don't 100% pull your weight daily)

Right now my break down is pretty simple and I like it that way easy meals simple steps and i just put in the work and wait for the results.

Typical day of eating for me goes like this, sometimes the carbs and protein will go up depending on my meal selections that day)

Garage freezer best investment I've ever made for bodybuilding. Prep is a breeze now.

I try to become machine like when i go into the cutting phase ive always been that way easier for me to stay the path.

2 meals of 96/4 beef/rice/broccoli
2 meals 93/7 turkey/rice/brocoli
1 protein shake.

Calories 2,290( will go up some)
Fat 71.5g ( this will be going up )
Fiber 23g
Carbs 160g
Sugar 1g
Protein 229g
Water 2L

I also picked up some stuff for meal prep today and I didn't get much, somehow still spent 60 dollars lol.

1000003408.jpg

I also wanted to share a comparison photo from a ways back into current day, because I couldn't believe looking back on it how fat I used to be before cycling and getting back on the wagon with hard training and diet. I never want to be at that place ever again.

Just to give everyone an idea how much my body has changed since that photo was taken of me in the blue t-shirt, it will only get better as time goes on.

@Noah Wixx meal prep of real champs bro :)

that pic on the right bottom you hella fat daymnnnn, impressive you've gotten so lean now WOW!!!

nice work on this
Thanks Steve I got a long way I am proud of how far I've come since dedicating myself back into the craft fully.

broccoli is very nutritious lots of good things in it

you're gonna cook the rice in a rice cooker

I really have a lot of respect with what you're doing you're getting good protein fats and carbs

para pharma has the best gear hands down
From that picture of me in the blue t-shirt shirt till now and I'm only 1 and 1/2 cycles in, be crazy to think another year or 2 from now where I will be. Basic cycles just test and primo little tbol nothing over 600-700mgs para pharma gear is incredibly strong that is a fact.

you're looking more and more conditioned each update
Yeah it is weird going from down and out zero confidence into a transformation where u start to feel good and look good, it truly is humbling seeing my start to my current point.

that's a lot of red meat right there
I don't eat it all in one shot typically 4oz a day of red meat and 4oz of tukery a day 2 cups of rice 4 servings of broccoli 4 walnuts one whole avocado and 1 protein shake I keep it very basic other than a cheat meal here and there once every 2 weeks.

broccoli is very nutritious lots of good things in it
I love broccoli I never get tired of eating it and as you stated to many good things not to eat it.

you're gonna cook the rice in a rice cooker
I typically just boil it on the stove top while everything else is cooking up.

Thank you brother hopefully others see the log and the inspiration from it or diet tips and tricks or maybe something from my workout routine and it helps improve aspects for them in their own life.

Sounds like a good coach
Definitely is I've come a long way thanks to him, gearhead always helped me out alot, I asked him one day if he would be willing to fully coach me and prep me, he saw enough heart and dedication and potential in me that he was kind enough to agree and come on as my official coach. I owe him alot.

I agree on the freezer. Game changer! @gearhead is a legend man. Awesome to see him as your coach. I have known him for probably 15 years now. Never disappoints.

No he does not and he is super patient I remember when I was here for a while and then my mental health and depression took a hit badly, I told I'd be back when I'm at my best. I messaged him and it's like I never even left he was in my corner first day I came back and it's been like that for the last year, he is a brother and family to me with how he treats me, he'll of a man and mentor, he had been guiding me every step of the way on all aspects in life not just the gym, i owe him alot.

I completely get what you mean. He has been gracious to even give me phone calls when I needed to talk. A true legend on the forum. Love following your log man.

Wtf he doesn't let me call him I'm stuck with Dms 😂😂 jk 15 years is a long time so u built that connection. Yeah I lean on him alot when things are up and down and he always gets back to me and keeps me positive, he taught me how to stay the course when nothing is going right, he is an absolute legend, I appreciate you following me brother, just got to hit it hard and make sure I get to where I need to be, yeah I can't say enough great things about him, he'll he believed in my mindset and passion when u looked like shit and was fat, he saw all the things I couldn't see, he is a huge factor other than the community and my vison why I go so hard to provide a quality transformation.

Nice job

@ugfreak

After speaking with my coach we made some small changes with the food intake calories wise and fats wise. The issue was I could be under eating for what I am trying to accomplish.

I also did my meal prep on tuesday of this week went well, last night I hit the gym, was not going for anything specific as I still feel a bit weak from when I was sick.

So I just did what felt good and used it get my muscles firing again and back in groove.

Also I found out I love avocado I actually get a satisfying dopamine hit when I eat them makes me feel happy for some reason.

My meals very similar. I just cooked up a bunch of hamburger to go with rice and broccoli or asparagus. Going to live on it for the next few weeks.
Story of my life brother i used to live on this kind of diet year round, I trained my mind into becoming machine like with my approach. I would convince myself I'm eating for results not for taste and over time made it easier for me to stick to it and do it.

I finally am at the point where it's time to get down to business and full send with the prepping week in and week out for the foreseeable future, long ways to go.

Yeah they are helping already, I notice after eating them I feel better, I think the low fat was affecting alot of things possibly. The addition of walnuts and avocado has helped already, im sure the long term benefits will be great.

It doesn't hurt to change things up here and there
That is true, while I agree change can be good. I try to keep this as simplistic as possible and take the path that will yield me the best results if that makes sense.

you save a fortune in food bills when you prep your own food like this

you're doing it the right way and you're gonna have some really good results

Looking great Noah!! Making me hungry for sure!

Good of GearHead
Absolutely he is 100% the key factor in all this, I am very grateful and thankful I have him as my coach and as a brother and friend. He has been instrumental in all the changes and teaches me every single day, once I stopped being stubborn and let him fully take control and I just take a back seat and execute his plan of attack, I have been seeing the difference and the results have been coming. I did it solo for so long it was hard to let go of old habits, he has been patient with me and help me break them.

Meal prep looks good man. Diet overall looking really good. Lets see the impact of adding the bit extra food to get to your goals. I am also a huge avocado fan!

It's so damn easy to eat rice and burger. I've been eating it for almost every meal since yesterday. Tastes good with Braggs Liquid Aminos.
@RoidRage69 you talking no sodium ground meat? when you call it burger and whats the fat level. Too much fat when cutting might be an issue man.

@Noah Wixx Meal prep is good.......

Saturday July 27 2024

@ugfreak

I wanted to start out with a few coaching updates for everyone.

One we are keeping the fats higher. I feel overall better since doing so, recovery wise and body wise less aches & pains etc.

Gearhead wants me to cut down from 45 minutes of cardio into 30 minutes a session, still doing cardio 4-5 times a week. ( limit burn out possibilities)

he is prepping me in advance as he wants me to complete a recomp as our next target goal on the list of things to accomplish

Main foucs right now is dropping 20-26lbs cut down and onto the recomp phase.

I check in with him daily multiple times a day, I like he keeps me fully accountable everyday and makes sure I handle my end.

He really cares about my happiness, my health and my well-being. It is why I give him my very best and go all out to my limit for him and myself.

Having the right fit with a coach is an eye opening experience and puts so many things into perspective, absolute game changing experience, as I've never had a coach before, it was me solo for a long time. I am absolutely blessed and thankful for this opportunity working with him.

Diet overall has been going great I have been fully sticking with the diet, the plan and the foods.

Enjoy the update everyone!

Wixx 💪

Just an update on some positive changes and a really big change and step forward for me.

Starting weight was 226.8 current weight in my cut 222.6

I felt like something was missing in my jounery with trying to one day turn pro in men's physique.

I have been battling my mind for months because we as humans don't like change very much.

With all that said...... I canceled my planet fitness membership after looking around I was able to locate a powerlifting and bodybuilding gym very close to home.

Planet fitness is stupid u have to go in person to cancel... I found a loop hole, if u transfer your gym to a location in California they let u cancel online, which I did that and it worked! I couldn't believe it that is a win lol, Fresno California here I come jk.

Which is super convenient because it is accessible 24/7 365 days a year, I felt in order to achieve more and push my mind and body I needed a gym with racks, free bench and specialized equipment to ensure my success in chasing my vision and dream.

No doubt I will be like a fish out of water not utilizing smith machines any longer I don't know how my lifts will look, I know one thing this is needed to force growth and train my body and mind to do the difficult things.

I am excited to share this new chapter with all of you

It's in a warehouse type setting which I really dig. The dumbells go up into 100s as well so that would be cool to try and attempt those one day lol.

Nice I’m jealous got real squat rack u can adjust the height between Lifters. But u don’t have the safety bars if you go down Better have either get out strategy or a spotter. U like to lift alone.
And a deadlift platform with a plate loader you can just load and let down to the floor! Nice!l looks like a belt squat wish we could find gym with one! U can spread your wings now! 💪🌸

Yeah it will be a nice change that is 100% what I feel has been needed for me to grow and take my conditioning into the next level. I feel maybe with the right equipment and setting my legs will see more growth and stimulus, even though they don't judge legs in the class I am competing in, it would he foolish not to try and build an all around physique.

Yes this will definitely be a new chapter and adventure for me, I am so uses to having the assistance of the smith machine, I think I'm gonna go lighter weights for a while and foucs on volume untill my body adjusts without having help in stabilizing.

You will be fine. Just start out lighter until I get used to not having the smith. You will most likely feel muscles you never knew u had.

Yeah I might have the doms effect for a while, this is is good and will help me be more tuned with my body and hopefully force growth in areas I just couldn't get at the global gym I was at. Plus it's a small local owned gym, so I can support a local business.

You can probably also train with some powerlifters which is a good way to learn.
