What Diet?

Hey guys and gals-
I read thru the evo diet and the ratio with your body weight and etc. How many have tried this, and what kind of results were seen? I read whittinator's log on it, and it seems complicated. What diet do you guys recommend that is both simple to follow and simple to cook for, and wont break the bank? Also, if there are some good diet folks on here, I wouldn't paying a little, but I cant afford a lot. I am not obese, I am not a fatty, I have a sloppy 6 pack, but I want to get a lot leaner.
Any help really appreciated,
thanks

I'm glad to see you're trying to improve your life and lean out. The evolutionary diet (http://www.evolutionary.org/the-evolutionary-diet) is a hybrid-CKD/anabolic diet that is a bit more hardcore, which allows for maximum results from "low-carbs." If you are looking for something very simple, I'm not sure if the evo diet is your best option. I would suggest a straight or modified anabolic diet, where you can eat with less restrictions. Though, keep in mind the results aren't the same when compared to evo.

Overall, I have a few clients running the evolutionary diet right now and they are happy with it. Like any ketogenic diet, the natural fasting process that's involved makes it hard to function the first 2 weeks, but it's smooth sailing thereafter.

Also I think you should first figure out your BMR and make sure you have the calorie intake properly set for your goals then you can tailor your meals and when to eat them around that.

KRAZIEONE - for all your DIO LABS needs....

^^^^ "straight or modified anabolic diet" can you suggest one please kind sir?

That's going to depend on the results you want and the dedication you are willing to put in. I don't believe low-carb or ketogenic diets are for everyone, so it's up to you what direction you choose to go. Realistically, it's going to depend on your diet and lifestyle right now, which will determine how hard it will be for you to make a ketogenic/dietary shift.

If you don't mind, post up your current stats, along with your current diet with breakdown of carbs, fats, and protein. We can help you critique this for the most benefit in reaching your goal

I am currently eating the P90x diet, and doing ALOT of cardio, taking sarms, protein drinks, pre-workout powder, and N2guard. I lift weights after I do my cardio. I am on TRT. I am willing to put the work in. I don't drink, and I don't smoke. I don't do drugs either. I work in exterior conditions for 8 days, then I am off duty from work for 6 days. Does this help for info? My ultimate goal is either side of 10 percent body fat.

I weigh 210 pounds, I am 6 feet tall. I am 40 years old. I have started training again for 3 months. Years ago, I was a state record holder powerlifter. The P90X diet has chicken , turkey, fish, beef, veggies, etc. You have to weigh every single thing. I am currently taking in 3200 calories per day

Ok that's cool bro. So I assume at this point, you are not tracking calories or counting macros. Is that correct? If so, I highly recommend to start doing that. Get yourself a good calorie tracking app like myfitnesspal to start keeping track of everything you eat. You want to stick to lean meats, complex carbs, and healthy fats with lots of green veggies. What exact breakdown of macros is dependent from person to person, but I personally like high protein, moderate carbs, and lower fats which works very well for me to lose bodyfat.

Ok I didn't see this post before I posted mine. If you are weighing and tracking things, can you list what your current macro breakdown is?

it doesn't have that RickRock, the diet just tells us how much weight of each food to eat according to how much we weigh in order to burn the correct amount of calories. I am wanting to burn or drop body fat and put lean muscle mass on at the same time. I am not hard to please am I ? LOL

I say US, my wife is also doing the diet.

Leangains is worth checking out, I love it n it works well with my lifestyle. The ultimate diet 2.0 is another good one

I just don't do "diets" in general... They are generally not sustainable, and its so hard to just post a "diet" and say its good for you... I specialize in what I do because I PERSONALLY CUSTOMIZE everything for EACH INDIVIDUAL... I will never be one that provides or gives a generic meal and diet plan for people... I just can't bring myself to do it as I already know when it comes to something like that, it needs to be formulated for each individuals anatomy, needs, etc... One person may be able to eat carbs all day where as another can't even be in the same room as them or it will negatively effect them... That's just an example... Everything needs to be custom tailored to each individual... A TRUE nutritionist grasps this concept and only works in this manner... Yes, one can post a reference on a diet and you can implement bits and pieces but generalized diets are not anything i go near or advise...
