Hey guys, I just joined the forum and had a chance to read a lot of different helpful posts, but I was hoping to get some advice from you guys.

Im 40 years old, active life, I have been training for 2.5 years and I try my best to maintain a good diet. Recently had a blood test done and testo was 299. I tried TRT but according to the doctor I am not eligible because this level of testo is good for my age.

I Have decided to start TRT on my own. Is there a better testo to start? What would be the best dosage? How ofren should I do blood test to check?

I would start with 125mg/wk to start. Stay there for four months and get bloods to see where you are at. Once you get bloods you can and going by how you feel you can adjust from there and repeat.

@Engutc welcome to the EVO family :D thank you for sharing your TRT situation, but at 40 years old having such low Testosterone usually means there are other alterations you need to make to your life.
Meaning, just pinning testosterone, which is something we highly support, wont be the fix, you will also need to work on other parts of your lifestyle.

But to even tell you to pin self-TRT and what dose is hard because we know nothing about you. Like guess work telling you to use X or Y dose without knowing more about you, so what you need to do is share with our EVO family, HOW? its actually easy, start a NEW thread with your LOG, share training diet cardio and history and we will guide you into a full self-TRT and while you're on it. Takes about 15-20min per week to update, easy to do.

HOW-TO LOG?
  • To really guide you we need more info from you.
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight,height,age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.

The idea behind trt is to get your levels to a normal range it's not to exceed that

From there you can go ahead and blast and then go back to trt from there
 
we know that getting into better shape is the best way to boost testosterone levels naturally.

but if you want to go on trt I would start at 100 mg and go from there.
 
if you want to do trt safely you should run a property or to dose.

you can get high quality testosterone from ugfreak.
 
there is no Ironclad rule when it comes to trt.

being flexible and adjusting your dosing is a smart way to do it.

Good? No. In range - just.
 
you will need to get blood work posted so that we can help adjust things for you.
this is why we recommend a log Journal
 
definitely log your experience.

there's a lot of improvements that you can make and we can help you along the way
 
I would start at 100mg per week. Run that for 4-6 weeks and see where that gets things as far as test and estrogen. Adjust from there. The goal is to be in the upper end of normal but not so high that your estrogen is above normal.
 
Hey bro, my levels were quite similar to yours and i decided to hop on "trt". I started at 125mg a week and pinning myself twice a week.. currently 3 weeks in now and starting to feel like a man again.. training is getting better by the day and libido is starting to climb ;) I'd suggest starting around the same dosage and after 6-8 weeks get some bloods done and see how you're looking and adjust dosage accordingly.
