Veteran Log 16 week Summer Cut Cycle Log - closing 2025

Day 14 - Sunday/rest day

So just a recap for week 2.
Average weekly steps were a touch less then last week at just shy of 18k, just under 125k for the weekly total.
Sleep has definitely improved weekly average was 7.3hrs each night. This is a big priority for me currently and hopefully can get this a little better as week 3 progresses.

Food and macros has been very good, there was a couple of the low carb days that were a touch higher not by much but i need to make sure week 3 everything is on target. going to hold the line for one more week and assess moving foward.

Morning fasted weight was 85.1kg
This is in increase from last week by nearly 2kg. I did eat very late Saturday night which would have some influence but such a significant drop on the first week i was kinda hoping not to see another drop again this week. Wasnt expecting an increase but still leaves me with 1.5kg of weight loss after the 2 weeks which is fairly on the money for the rate i would like to lose. I have maintained the detail i gained from the drop last week and i feel full so im happy with where im at.
I definitely will be taking proper photos to post as of next weekend so i can get some other eyes on the progress to help me see things i may or may not be noticing.

Blood pressure is still great.

Bg was a point out of range but as i said i had eaten my dinner at 11pm so im thinking that is the reason. Ill check monday morning to see if it has dropped.

Some meal prep pics for ya too, same food though lol just chicken, beef, rice and veg haha. Its boring for most but it just makes everything easy to track and manage and it digests for me the best.

With weight gain is there a point when you will be gaining muscle in a deficit when using PEDs causing your weight to go up?

With weight gain is there a point when you will be gaining muscle in a deficit when using PEDs causing your weight to go up?
I feel there is for sure a possibility of recomposition, especially a carb cycling approach with high carb days on high output days. All whilst maintaining the right protien and fats for recovery. Being in my first year too im hoping to still capitalise on some 'newbie' gains. But i would say it wouldn't be a significant case as in, i doubt i would get to 10% bf and maintain my starting weight. One could only wish lol. But as long as i push hard on my compound movements and really focus on tempo with my accessorie movements i would hope to still build a little muscle throughout this cut. 🤞🤞🤞

90kg was fucking heavy after the increase in volume for the flys. Felt good on my first set an hit a wall on the 7th rep couldnt even get the bar back up and had to roll it down to my waist and tip the plates off. Dropped the weight for the second set and pushed what reps i could. Short rest before the burnout set.

Splitting injections to 3 per week moving foward just to save on the volume per pin lol.

Solid recap. Steps and sleep are both in a good spot, averaging over 7hrs is already a big improvement and 18k steps keeps output high. The 2kg up on the scale after a late meal isn’t a setback, you’re still down 1.5kg over 2 weeks which is right on pace. Food being consistent with simple prep is why you’re digesting well and holding fullness, boring works. Sponsors will be happy with the way you’re carrying yourself and the progress you’re showing. Chest and triceps session looked strong, especially holding form strict with that tempo even as fatigue built. Good call adjusting weight on the incline bench when 90kg hit a wall, still got quality reps across the sets and finished with a solid burnout. Pec deck and decline fly volume had your chest loaded before pressing so strength dips there made sense. Dips looked great with reps climbing, and skullcrushers holding near 10 a set at 45kg is solid pressing support. Weight at 84.1kg with BG back in range shows the plan is right on track heading into this next phase.

Solid recap. Steps and sleep are both in a good spot, averaging over 7hrs is already a big improvement and 18k steps keeps output high. The 2kg up on the scale after a late meal isn’t a setback, you’re still down 1.5kg over 2 weeks which is right on pace. Food being consistent with simple prep is why you’re digesting well and holding fullness, boring works. Sponsors will be happy with the way you’re carrying yourself and the progress you’re showing. Chest and triceps session looked strong, especially holding form strict with that tempo even as fatigue built. Good call adjusting weight on the incline bench when 90kg hit a wall, still got quality reps across the sets and finished with a solid burnout. Pec deck and decline fly volume had your chest loaded before pressing so strength dips there made sense. Dips looked great with reps climbing, and skullcrushers holding near 10 a set at 45kg is solid pressing support. Weight at 84.1kg with BG back in range shows the plan is right on track heading into this next phase.

Day 11 – Thursday | Rest Day

Another solid night’s sleep in the bank — well needed. Quads were already sore the following day and step count was kept a little lower, not by much but I was mindful of not overdoing it.

Macros were right where they needed to be and recovery feels like it’s improving as the days go on. Joints however are feeling a bit dry. I’ve been running BPC/TB from @ZenithHealth and can only really put it down to my crushed E2.

Had every intention of pulling LCMS testing today to get a true reading at such a low range. The other week when libido dropped hard, I cut out all AI as I’d already lowered my test dose to 500 mg from the previous cycle. That was about 4 weeks back — the same time I started 400 mg weekly EQ. I noticed the dry joints roughly 2 weeks after starting the current protocol (500 test / 400 EQ).

At week 3 (start of this log), I bumped test back up to 750 mg weekly and pulled bloods a week after — results showed E2 below 60 pmol/L, basically crushed. Instead of re-testing too soon after, I’m thinking it’s smarter to wait another couple weeks to let the 750 test dose stabilize more before running bloods again. Thoughts on this @LevButlerov?

Anyway, hope everyone’s smashing it. Shoulders and arms session up next.

Yeah, cool, my gym is pretty basic, i’ve never used one of them before.
I really like it, allows me to load it up and not have a barbell pressed up on me and can pick up the heavier weight from a safer height 👌

Just to finish off yesterday’s log:
Steps didnt quiet make it to 20k but was pretty much there, sleep was good and quality seems to be improving every night.
Morning fasted weight was 84.3kg so has come down a touch again but ill hit the scales each day to work out the weekly average. Not a slave to the scales just want to make sure im not dropping too fast is all.
Food is where it needs to be and carb volume changes as the plan has set.
Second day for the week in the bank and momentum is building 🔥

Im really crossing my fingers and hoping i can continue to bring my legs up a little more even in a cut. Two muscle groups that need the most attention are my chest and legs but for now the legs are the lower hanging fruit while the the focus is on the cut. Need to keep patient as next year will be the time to grow.

Not sure if better sleep is improving my mood or mentality but i just feel soo fucking engaged right now. All i was to do is throw iron and see how much progress i can make. Im developing a dark love for the hard work and pain its crazy lol. All that matters to me right now is time with my family and gym everything outside of that just feels like robotic structure and its strange how ok i am with that.
Anyone close to me understands when im locked in on something most other things are locked out and for this 16 weeks thats just how it is.
Each day i just want to push through so i can sleep and get straight back in the gym for more punishment, almost becoming an obsession.

Looking foward to the long weekend though here in Aus. 5 days off work get to train with the wifey and got some solid days i cant wait to suprise the kids with ❤️

Im really crossing my fingers and hoping i can continue to bring my legs up a little more even in a cut. Two muscle groups that need the most attention are my chest and legs but for now the legs are the lower hanging fruit while the the focus is on the cut. Not sure if better sleep is improving my mood or mentality but i just feel soo fucking engaged right now. All i was to do is throw iron and see how much progress i can make. Im developing a dark love for the hard work and pain its crazy lol. All that matters to me right now is time with my family and gym everything outside of that just feels like robotic structure and its strange how ok i am with that.
Anyone close to me understands when im locked in on something most other things are locked out and for this 16 weeks thats just how it is.
Each day i just want to push through so i can sleep and get straight back in the gym for more punishment, almost becoming an obsession.

Looking foward to the long weekend though here in Aus. 5 days off work get to train with the wifey and got some solid days i cant wait to suprise the kids with ❤️

90kg was fucking heavy after the increase in volume for the flys. Felt good on my first set an hit a wall on the 7th rep couldnt even get the bar back up and had to roll it down to my waist and tip the plates off. Dropped the weight for the second set and pushed what reps i could. Short rest before the burnout set.

@Allupfromhere not a bad idea to split your injections up to three times a week. That’s a lot of liquid going in. I’m sure it will help with PIP also, if you even have any.

Do you find the EQ smashes your E2? I've seen some people say it's comparable to Primo but others their E2 get annihilated

It did with me brother for sure 500mg test e/400mg eq and e2 was tanked within 2 weeks. Have bumped up test to 750mg and will retest e2 at the 4 week mark 🤞🤞🤞 its funny as i aromatise crazy

Learn some is the main thing. It would be nice if there was a cookie cutter cycle that worked for all of us guaranteed but it just doesn't work that way. Live, learn, adjust, improve. Then improve some more lol. You'll get it figured and next cycle will be better.

Day 18 - Thursday rest day

Just a recap for yesterday and and small update.
Sleep! Man sleep is getting so good right now almost sleeping all the way through without a piss break in the middle lol.
Have killed screen time well before bed and the last 2 nights a have introduced dsip.
First night was good but last night was crazy good. Woke up feeling brand new, really hoping this continues as i didnt even take any melatonin or valerian before bed.

Keen to get the e2 bloods done again next week to see where it is at so i can just enjoy this cycle and cut. I do have a feeling i may be bumping up the test that little bit more yet but don't want to over correct. Bloods first, adjustments after.

Current morning weight was down again at 82.7kg and this is after a couple of days where carbs were still a touch high from where they needed to be. On sunday at the completion of week 3 if im under 82kg im going to re-adjust. At that rate ill be a string bean by christmas and not what i want.
Woke up this morning looking flat and feeling small lol, arms tiny. Though i am definitely leaning out lol. I feel like the more my body changes the worse the dysmorphia becomes haha.

Day 18 - Thursday rest day

Just a recap for yesterday and and small update.
Sleep! Man sleep is getting so good right now almost sleeping all the way through without a piss break in the middle lol.
Have killed screen time well before bed and the last 2 nights a have introduced dsip.
First night was good but last night was crazy good. Woke up feeling brand new, really hoping this continues as i didnt even take any melatonin or valerian before bed.

Keen to get the e2 bloods done again next week to see where it is at so i can just enjoy this cycle and cut. I do have a feeling i may be bumping up the test that little bit more yet but don't want to over correct. Bloods first, adjustments after.

Current morning weight was down again at 82.7kg and this is after a couple of days where carbs were still a touch high from where they needed to be. On sunday at the completion of week 3 if im under 82kg im going to re-adjust. At that rate ill be a string bean by christmas and not what i want.
Woke up this morning looking flat and feeling small lol, arms tiny. Though i am definitely leaning out lol. I feel like the more my body changes the worse the dysmorphia becomes haha.

Weight fasted 82.7kg

At the end of week 4 i will post a complete set of progress photos and then every 2 weeks from then on. Same poses same lighting for best comparison.

That shot your wife grabbed looks solid, you’re definitely leaner even if you feel flat. Sleep improving with dsip is huge, recovery shows in how you’re looking right now. Weight trending down right while still keeping carbs in tells me you’re on point, bloods next week will give you the green light to adjust test if needed. Post pump shoulders and arms after a carb up will have you feeling fuller and looking even sharper. :D

Im missing my DSIP cant wait to get home and get a full night's sleep. Glad your seeing results as well, ill be keen to see if it keeps on going for you. Like I said previously I take a few nights off a week and still get great sleep. Im hoping this is my long term solution as Melatonin and Valerian etc seem to diminish over time or im groggy during the day.

Bro, gonna have to get you eating more, you gonna be skin and bones.
Nothing really flat about it, You gonna have 45 degree angles to your muscle definition by the end of this!

Im hoping so much the dsip is everything it seems to be turning into for sure haha, im the same with melatonin and Valerian. I swear the valerian gives me some proper crazy dreams lol... like wouldnt share them with my doctor in fear of being institutionalised 🫣😂

I take 5mg cialis daily on this cycle only because the increase in haemoglobin and hematocrit from the eq. Otherwise i dont use it and bp has always been good 😊

Stomach is already flat as and got abs at the start of 16 weeks is impressive.

😂 yeah i burn pretty hot all the time so im always thirsty and find myself drinking water right up until bed everyday. Then boom natural naturally takes course haha

Yeah 100% bro. Was thinking of maybe just running the 770 inbody scan under the same parameters each time just to give me ball park figures through the weeks and pay the money to get a accurate measurement at the end with dexa to see where i land.

Basically sends an electrical current through your body and gives different feedback through fat cells, muscle tissue, water and bone density.
Accuracy can be influenced from body temp and hydration though so need to try and make sure your under the same condition each time you test.
They say its Accuracy variation has around a 3-5% disparity. But for general check ins each fortnight isnt a too bad of an option.
Dexa for the end though definitely.
