I'm currently trying to rehabilitate my Staffy, Delta after several cruciate ligament surgeries and corrective repair surgeries.

I'm about 1 week in on her treatment with Austrix BPC 157. And today we started Rosehip Vital Canine.

I would like to take the time to thank Mr Wolf @Wolfenstein as he has sent me a couple of Christmas presents this month. His BPC is an excellent product and I greatly appreciate his generosity.

Her rehab and healing process has been sub optimal given the slippage on the floorboards of our home and the fact that she tried to be as active post surgery as she was before. I had some positive results after her first surgery with BPC but dogs being dogs they dont understand taking it easy and she busted her right one, then the left again. After her 3rd surgery she has calmed down and doesnt get as excitable.

Site injecting BPC157 Subcutaneously

For most sub cutaneous injections, the vet will usually pinch the scruff of the neck. Given the anecdotal reports of BPC being more effective closer to the injury, I'm pinning in a less sensitive area close to her knee not on top of it.

When injecting myself Sub Q at the site I find it to be kinda painful. Sometimes with strong pain lasting a few days later along my tendon. To avoid any discomfort to Delta, I'm pinning in a spot that has "thicker skin" but still close by. She's a pretty stoic dog, but so far she hasn't shown any signs to me that this is causing her any distress, pain or discomfort.

250mcg am & pm

Rosehip Vital
5gm per 50gm lean mince (2 scoops)

The past week I "front loaded" her BPC at 500mcg am and 250mcg pm. Now I'll keep the dose rate at 250mcg because I have to ration it for now.

Even today I'm seeing improved mobility and extended walking time. She even hopped up a small step today. Something she hasnt been able to do for ages.
It's not much but to me it was a major win.

Mobility Check Sunday 21/12/2025

Here is an update on Deltas mobility.
She is still using her hips alot to move and locking her knees in, but she is putting less drive through her front legs today by the looks of it.

Now that she's rested and back home though she's become alot stiffer than in the video again. Still better than last fortnight but not as fast as she was moving this morning.

Mobility Check Sunday Arvo 21/12/2025

As the day went on she got a little stiff. You can see her knees locking up again.
Unfortunately she didn't want to eat much of the rosehip and turkey this evening.

When her back legs and hips start getting sore, she shifts her weight to her front (she's built like a rig thru the chest and back now) and when she wants to pivot or sit, she will balance on her front legs to lower herself like she's doing a dip.

This evening she's stiff and looks a bit sore from getting about. I've been carrying her here and there so she doesnt put much more stress on her legs.

I love what your doing here for your blue staffy my bro,i had a staffy for 16 years before my current dogs and they are prone to rear hip/leg issues as they get older for sure i never had access to peptides and stuff back then and wish I did but I think you will have good success in what your doing,have you considered using TB500 as well I think it would help alot

I love what your doing here for your blue staffy my bro,i had a staffy for 16 years before my current dogs and they are prone to rear hip/leg issues as they get older for sure i never had access to peptides and stuff back then and wish I did but I think you will have good success in what your doing,have you considered using TB500 as well I think it would help alot

I noticed the same thing with Rose Hip as well they wouldnt eat it at times,so I found a brand called Petzpark they have superior products for all applications and are beef flavour...they are a real game changer and I recommend them for sure.
Theres a pic of both the hip and joint as well as the antistress products they have bro hope it helps and the staffy comes good

So she might've overdone it again yesterday. Looks like her left knee might be out of its location. Not sure. Either that or its a massive amount of scar tissue.

It appears to be a little hard lump that moves laterally across the knee area.

This was a similar thing that happened toner right knee, which had to have an operation to relocate the band more securely behind it, and the Vet had to remove a small amount of muscle tissue to accommodate the band, which was pulling the knee cap out of location under tension.

She isnt expressing any pain, just showing its a bit tender.

We're off to the vet this arvo to find out if there is a technique where i can manually pop it back into location when it happens and also get her nails trimmed because they appear to be at a length that they could be making it uncomfortable in her paws as she walks.

Have you tried to lightly massage it and see? maybe infrared lamp would work on dogs as well not sure

Back from the Vet and she's all good.
The lump appears to be part of the bone growing over where the artificial ligament was attached and isn't causing her any pain or discomfort.

We had to hold her down with the canine gracie jujitsu to trim her nails though She hates having her nails touched.

The Vets here are wonderful people. They've been a great help since day one.

Her hips seem fine but she could deffo stand to loose a little more weight. She's down 2kg from last visit which is cool.

She's weighing in at 22.7kg now. Still a chonk and should probably be closer to 20 really.

The left hand knee cap does have a bit of movement in it, but if it does, it pops back into place when she straightens her leg
She has full mobility in her legs so its still a bit of a mystery as to whats stopping her from putting more drive through her legs.

Takeaway Observations

Keeping your animals at an optimal weight with whole and natural foods, with regular exercise takes the stress off their joints and connective tissue, and as a preventative measure, is much preferred to finding a cure for these kinds of problems.

Her hips seem fine but she could deffo stand to loose a little more weight. She's down 2kg from last visit which is cool.

She's weighing in at 22.7kg now. Still a chonk and should probably be closer to 20 really.

The left hand knee cap does have a bit of movement in it, but if it does, it pops back into place when she straightens her leg
She has full mobility in her legs so its still a bit of a mystery as to whats stopping her from putting more drive through her legs.

Takeaway Observations

Keeping your animals at an optimal weight with whole and natural foods, with regular exercise takes the stress off their joints and connective tissue, and as a preventative measure, is much preferred to finding a cure for these kinds of problems.

Mobility Check Sunday 21/12/2025

Here is an update on Deltas mobility.
She is still using her hips alot to move and locking her knees in, but she is putting less drive through her front legs today by the looks of it.

Now that she's rested and back home though she's become alot stiffer than in the video again. Still better than last fortnight but not as fast as she was moving this morning.

As the day went on she got a little stiff. You can see her knees locking up again.
Unfortunately she didn't want to eat much of the rosehip and turkey this evening.

When her back legs and hips start getting sore, she shifts her weight to her front (she's built like a rig thru the chest and back now) and when she wants to pivot or sit, she will balance on her front legs to lower herself like she's doing a dip.

This evening she's stiff and looks a bit sore from getting about. I've been carrying her here and there so she doesnt put much more stress on her legs.

I noticed a bit of a lump on her leg which I thought was giving her issues on Monday so booked her into the Vet back home before travelling back. She just didnt want to move about much at all.

Vets are approved to use Nandralone Laurate, it's not an ester I'd ever heard of before. I think it would be good for her joints but being an un-neutered female, theres a host of other complications to consider too.

Now that one I had to look up! It's an IM depot injection that lasts up to 3-4 weeks and is called Laurabolin. Less pins for Delta; the vet would probably give it monthly and she'd get nandrolone slowly over the month, interesting.

She negotiated the steps downward without an issue (i still worry about her going arse over tit though cos she's so front heavy) so I'm very happy with that. Its amazing how resilient dogs are. Nothing keeps them down. Whatever happens they just keep motoring along like all is well.

Whatever you gotta do to get them to eat it right haha. Spent more days than I can count hand feeding. Atleast she's eating and the trick is working for the rose hips. Sometimes they figure those things out and you just gotta keep coming up with more creative tricks to use on them.

Thanks my bro, she's making decent improvements. She just gets tapped out after a while. She's spent the last three months pretty much sitting around while she healed with only very short 10-20M walks. She's doing alot more distance now.

She looks ok here although still stiff and not putting a great deal of drive or force to plant her back legs. She's putting most of her weight on her front legs still.

This is where I need to consider the variables when it comes to her willingness to move about. She is a Bully breed after all and if she doesnt wanna do something, she'll just not.

But there is an overlap in her fatigue levels I should take notice of. Is she staying put because she's sore or is it because its hot and she's puffed out?

The third variable is she also likes to take the piss. If she can get her way or get me me to do something for her, rather than her doing it herself, she will. Good example is the door step video, I ended up picking her up and bringing her inside.

Even though she had half a go, you can see how she is putting all her weight on the front legs, i think she was bludging it a bit rather than trying to bolster her rear.

We're headed off soon for a couple of days and can't bring her gear with us, so we'll pin 1mg before we leave.

As an aside. I've noticed her digestion is improved and her bowel movements are more regular and not as runny as they had been the past month.

I did that one day cause i got super pissed. problem was it later on escalated from there cause her new bf was a drug addict and psycho and he got nasty with me bigtime. so its a tough situation beefing with neighbors. that is why i like living in a neighborhood with a strict HOA. this way everyone is screened and you can't just let some random loser move in or let your dog shit everywhere.

Thanks my bro, she's making decent improvements. She just gets tapped out after a while. She's spent the last three months pretty much sitting around while she healed with only very short 10-20M walks. She's doing alot more distance now.

Merry Christmas Evo Fam

Hope everyone had a grouse day with Loved ones or doing something you Love.

Delta had a HUGE day with her buddy Alfonso today. She woke up a little stiff but was ok to walk down the step and have a squat. Then went down a whole flight of stairs by herself with no drama.

At first I was a tiny bit apprehensive about a day with Alf as he is such a rambunctious goldy, and they usually pummel each other for hours on end.
He went in pretty hard at the start but he quickly worked out that she isn't at full capacity and tamed it down. I kept a very close eye on them, but let her draw her own boundaries with him and whenever she needed to, she'd give him a corrective bark, or a nip.

She's dead to the world right now and completely exhausted, snoring on my
bed.
The full on play and exercise was the best form of physio today, she just kept coming at him for more.
She's been at her best when she's excited.
I think we've seen some improvement today, her leg drive was better even though she still favours the front.
I saw her run up a step and step up, and over several taller edges today.
Whenever she wanted a time out she could go inside away from Alf and chill on her bed. Which happened only twice. She preferred just chilling under the table if she wasn't out playing.

I've given her the last left over 300mg gabapeptin tablet before bed in some cheese so there's some anti-inflammatory action happening while she sleeps and recovers tonight from an enormous day of endless exercise.

Its taking me some time to convert video files, so in the meantime here's some photo's we took through the day.

She had plenty of horizontal drive when she wants to go say hello to other dogs, or walk into gardens to sniff rabbit scratchings. Just no vertical drive to push herself upward or hop like she used to.

No problems hopping down stairs, or stepping up small steps now. We ran out of BPC yesterday but I think there will be something nice in the mailbox tomorrow.

She takes to the rosehip vital without too much of a drama if she's hungry or realises there's no other option for her to be fussy about.

Once we got back home we both took the advantage of our rest day in the loungeroom having a kip on the floor on her dog bed.

That's bang on @Mobster. too right. She's confident on single steps now and coming down stairways. When she's excited and playing with Arch, there's no worries hopping over small ledges like up onto the deck and back because she's there in the moment.

I've been working with her to do more steps upward, by helping her with the movement of her back legs as if she would be springing upward. Its been slow going but she can do 2 steps up by herself and then she sort of starts to worry about going up any higher by herself. Its like she's worried if she slips she has a further ways to fall down. But I know she can do it. Just need to build that confidence back up in her.

Quick check in on some mobility.
After a coffee and a bite to eat down the street with a short walk, we navigated the front step again. Force of habit has her waiting to see if I'll pick her up, she gets it though.

Once we got home she had her BPC157.

A bit of humour Delta has the shits that Cruickshanks is sleeping on her bed. But isnt willing to do much about it
