Pet Log Delta's Double Cruciate Ligament Rehab Log - Dog

G'day Evo Family,

I'm currently trying to rehabilitate my Staffy, Delta after several cruciate ligament surgeries and corrective repair surgeries.

Here's the link to her intro and a bit of a run down.

https://www.evolutionary.org/forums/threads/doctakays-velvet-hippo-delly.108295/

I'm about 1 week in on her treatment with Austrix BPC 157. And today we started Rosehip Vital Canine.

I would like to take the time to thank Mr Wolf @Wolfenstein as he has sent me a couple of Christmas presents this month. His BPC is an excellent product and I greatly appreciate his generosity. 🙏🏻💜🙏🏻

Her rehab and healing process has been sub optimal given the slippage on the floorboards of our home and the fact that she tried to be as active post surgery as she was before. I had some positive results after her first surgery with BPC but dogs being dogs they dont understand taking it easy and she busted her right one, then the left again. After her 3rd surgery she has calmed down and doesnt get as excitable.

It's been a few weeks since her last surgery so now I'm trying her on BPC157 again as the animal trials showed great promise. Its been working for me and my tendon issues.

I'm also now giving her Rose Hip Vital for its anti inflammation properties and promising reviews online. I can see she's modified her gait to take up the discomfort and puts alot of weight on her front legs and pivots with her hips. I think she has a problem with her knee again. The vet said its likely to pop in and out.

I'll post more info and videos of her gait as we progress with her treatment. I'm going to be realistic with expectations, she'll never be 100% again because we're talking about artificial ligaments but I'm optimistic that this rehab protocol improves her mobility.

This is a repost from Delta's intro because I'm using a phone I don't know how to link it. 😅

Site injecting BPC157 Subcutaneously

For most sub cutaneous injections, the vet will usually pinch the scruff of the neck. Given the anecdotal reports of BPC being more effective closer to the injury, I'm pinning in a less sensitive area close to her knee not on top of it.

When injecting myself Sub Q at the site I find it to be kinda painful. Sometimes with strong pain lasting a few days later along my tendon. To avoid any discomfort to Delta, I'm pinning in a spot that has "thicker skin" but still close by. She's a pretty stoic dog, but so far she hasn't shown any signs to me that this is causing her any distress, pain or discomfort.

I had to heavily compress the video for it to be allowed for some reason. So please forgive the quality 🙏🏻

Scars on both legs are healed well for being opened up a couple of times...

Thanks @LevButlerov for suggesting I start this log. Hopefully we collect some useful info for other Evo Family Pets.

My dog tore her knee up pretty good many years ago, and it cost $4,500. I'm sure today it would cost like $10,000-$12,000. I wish I had BPC in those days.

Absolutely! @stevesmi ACL is such a common yet super expensive injury.

I was only just saying to my brother today how I really believe peptides are going to be the way of the future hey.

Appreciate the Love my bro. Thanks for having a squiz at the Log. 🙏🏻

Even today I'm seeing improved mobility and extended walking time. She even hopped up a small step today. Something she hasnt been able to do for ages. 😁
It's not much but to me it was a major win.

Definitely let us know how it goes. I'm thinking about getting a dog myself.
Definately brother. Appreciate you having a look at the log.

I'll be posting progress videos of her mobility and distance progression. I'll also make sure to list any supplements used along with the BPC.

Mobility Check Sunday 21/12/2025

Here is an update on Deltas mobility.
She is still using her hips alot to move and locking her knees in, but she is putting less drive through her front legs today by the looks of it.

Now that she's rested and back home though she's become alot stiffer than in the video again. Still better than last fortnight but not as fast as she was moving this morning.

Sorry for the video quality but I had to reduce file size to 2mb... 🤷‍♂️

@Doctakay I'm very curious to see how he does. It's really sad when a pet is suffering like this. Hopefully this helps.

Mobility Check Sunday Arvo 21/12/2025

As the day went on she got a little stiff. You can see her knees locking up again.
Unfortunately she didn't want to eat much of the rosehip and turkey this evening.

When her back legs and hips start getting sore, she shifts her weight to her front (she's built like a rig thru the chest and back now) and when she wants to pivot or sit, she will balance on her front legs to lower herself like she's doing a dip.

This evening she's stiff and looks a bit sore from getting about. I've been carrying her here and there so she doesnt put much more stress on her legs.

Here's an example in this video.

I love what your doing here for your blue staffy my bro,i had a staffy for 16 years before my current dogs and they are prone to rear hip/leg issues as they get older for sure i never had access to peptides and stuff back then and wish I did but I think you will have good success in what your doing, have you considered using TB500 as well I think it would help alot

Hey Thanks my bro @MarshMonsta
I would love to add TB500 to her stack, the two compounds would work synergistically. It would deffo help.
I'm just on a very tight budget brother, so working with what I can for now.
Appreciate you checking out the log brother, you've done some great work yourself with Zeus on the peptides.

I noticed the same thing with Rose Hip as well they wouldnt eat it at times,so I found a brand called Petzpark they have superior products for all applications and are beef flavour...they are a real game changer and I recommend them for sure.
Theres a pic of both the hip and joint as well as the antistress products they have bro hope it helps and the staffy comes good🙏

Delta deserves her own log and I'll be following. Prayers for her from me tonight! 🙏

So she might've overdone it again yesterday. Looks like her left knee might be out of its location. Not sure. Either that or its a massive amount of scar tissue.

It appears to be a little hard lump that moves laterally across the knee area.

This was a similar thing that happened toner right knee, which had to have an operation to relocate the band more securely behind it, and the Vet had to remove a small amount of muscle tissue to accommodate the band, which was pulling the knee cap out of location under tension.

She isnt expressing any pain, just showing its a bit tender.

We're off to the vet this arvo to find out if there is a technique where i can manually pop it back into location when it happens and also get her nails trimmed because they appear to be at a length that they could be making it uncomfortable in her paws as she walks.

I've attached some photos of her knee here. I'll try and compress the videos that show it better.

Have you tried to lightly massage it and see? maybe infrared lamp would work on dogs as well not sure

It's pretty solid out of place what ever it is.
She's not vocally objecting, but isn't real.keen on me touching it. Ahe'll let me stretch her leg out, move the lump a bit but not for too long.

I was able to convert the video to size.
Is there a problem with uploading larger file sizes like 30mb? @LevButlerov They take forever for me to convert on my phone 😅

Use panda video app brother can choose the size to shrink to

Back from the Vet and she's all good.
The lump appears to be part of the bone growing over where the artificial ligament was attached and isn't causing her any pain or discomfort.

We had to hold her down with the canine gracie jujitsu to trim her nails though 🤣 She hates having her nails touched.

The Vets here are wonderful people. They've been a great help since day one.

Her hips seem fine but she could deffo stand to loose a little more weight. She's down 2kg from last visit which is cool.

She's weighing in at 22.7kg now. Still a chonk and should probably be closer to 20 really.

The left hand knee cap does have a bit of movement in it, but if it does, it pops back into place when she straightens her leg
She has full mobility in her legs so its still a bit of a mystery as to whats stopping her from putting more drive through her legs. 🤔

It's pretty solid out of place what ever it is.
She's not vocally objecting, but isn't real.keen on me touching it. Ahe'll let me stretch her leg out, move the lump a bit but not for too long.

Takeaway Observations

Keeping your animals at an optimal weight with whole and natural foods, with regular exercise takes the stress off their joints and connective tissue, and as a preventative measure, is much preferred to finding a cure for these kinds of problems.
I thought to say it was something we can massage out but I can see vet knows better :D I need to learn animals more.

She ok to walk now?

I'll keep an eye on the lump just in case it grows. But he's observations are an educated guess without imaging. Couldnt hurt to massage it.

She's walking well now. She's at her best in the first part of the day. She gets worn down after too long on her feet. We talked about peptides and he asked to be kept updated.

As an aside we discussed the use of AAS is canines. He brought it up. He is currently treating an arthritic dog with stanozanol for muscle wasting. They also use Nandralone and Boldenone.
I reckon Nandralone would've been a better compound for arthritis given the drying nature of winnie, but thats his business. 🤷‍♂️ He didnt say they would be suitable in Deltas current situation but at least they are pretty open to the idea of AAS and Peps.

If she walks fine I think that's a start, but not sure about compounds for pets though. I only know eq and winny lol :P
I hope she recovers soon from this.

By that I mean they aren't judgemental, or jumping to conclusions about peptide use. I was hesitant about mentioning the bpc until I Worked out he was cool about peptides and he went on to talk about other things they use.

She still has limited mobility, but its not terrible.
The missus was talking with me about trying to get more of that drive into her back legs with some light stair climbing physio, leg stretches and short walks on the grass more often.

Definately brother. Appreciate you having a look at the log.

I'll be posting progress videos of her mobility and distance progression. I'll also make sure to list any supplements used along with the BPC.
Definitely want to see those videos.

G'day @Ulter , I appreciate your interest Brother. 🙏🏻
Here is our mobility check for our day out and about on Sunday.

I noticed a bit of a lump on her leg which I thought was giving her issues on Monday so booked her into the Vet back home before travelling back. She just didnt want to move about much at all.

It's pretty solid out of place what ever it is.
She's not vocally objecting, but isn't real.keen on me touching it. Ahe'll let me stretch her leg out, move the lump a bit but not for too long.

Here's the lump video, she was a bit over it, and wasn't very keen on getting about.

She'll be resting at home this morning while I workout and when I get back i'll be posting.

She's such a good dog! So trusting.

That is super interesting they're open to AAS for pets. I wonder if deca would be good for her joints.

She's got such a bomb proof temperament hey. Thanks brother, She's a good egg. 😊

Vets are approved to use Nandralone Laurate, it's not an ester I'd ever heard of before. I think it would be good for her joints but being an un-neutered female, theres a host of other complications to consider too.

Now that one I had to look up! It's an IM depot injection that lasts up to 3-4 weeks and is called Laurabolin. Less pins for Delta; the vet would probably give it monthly and she'd get nandrolone slowly over the month, interesting.

I think your lady is right, some mobility work for her is important imo

Mobility Update 23/12/2025

6:00am
250mcg BPC157 SubCu Right thigh.
4gm rosehip
100gm turkey mince.

Firstly is her morning mobility straight out of bed about 5:45am.
Then a test to see how she goes getting up a small step about 12:30pm after the gym.
Then over to a nearby town to see how she goes getting around in the park.
Not long after the first park video, she goes to the bbq's under the shelter, and then promptly lays down. She didnt feel like moving around much more from there. So after a drink of water and a lay down, she had a roll around, walked to the nearest tree amd sniffed some birds nests, then the last video starts.
She's pretty tuckered out now and she's sleeping in the loungeroom under the airco.

Pretty happy with her handling the small step. She usually waits for me to help her over small steps and edges, but (as long as its safe) she has to start re-learning how to do it for herself.

Congratulations :D @Doctakay you have an approved pets log now, it counts for your sponsor as well as helps your little one recovery with EVO family support :D

looks like she moved around today, looks cute
I see that limp but she's trying hard :D

She looked like she was smiling when she got over that step! Watching her in improvement is really heart warming bro! She's a girl on a mission when she's roaming around. No signs of slowing down

They love rolling in the stinkiest stuff they can find. The Eagles and Ospreys drop dead fish outta the sky all the time and my boys love finding those things and rolling in them LOL..like you said, whatever makes them happy

Thanks brother, I really think she was hey! I'm insisting she do that step all by herself from now on. Yesterday I wanted her to head out the back yard and I normally carry her down the steps. She negotiated the steps downward without an issue (i still worry about her going arse over tit though cos she's so front heavy🤣) so I'm very happy with that. Then after a bit of a walk around and a wee, I had to duck inside to the loo, and while i was gone she managed to get herself up two of the steps but stopped and waited for me there and I carried her back inside.

Man I can see her thinking about it from a mile away she'll be sniffing around and then does this tiny little shoulder tuck just before she drives herself into the most foul remains she can find. I dont normally mind unless ive just washed her tho 😅

Its amazing how resilient dogs are. Nothing keeps them down. Whatever happens they just keep motoring along like all is well.

Lol that's the great thing about short haired breeds, easy to wash. Smelly shit must be like perfume to them or something. They smell it and think I wanna smell like this all the time haha

She had her 250mcg BPC157 last night and this morning also.

I though I was filming her mobility this morning. I ended up with two photos tho 😒 a start and finish.

She moved well though and took a massive dump on the neighbours lawn. I went inside and got a dog bag and sorted that and she went up the steo by herself without much of an issue at all.

I've found an easier way to get Dell to eat her rosehip. I break the turkey mince into smaller chunks and throw them into an old yoghurt container with the scoops of rosehip vital. I then shake the piss out of it and it makes these tiny little nugget bites.

Her royal highness insists on being fed by hand though. 🙄

I'll get another mobility vid later today but for now she's resting while I get our things ready for Christmas visits.

Whatever you gotta do to get them to eat it right haha. Spent more days than I can count hand feeding. Atleast she's eating and the trick is working for the rose hips. Sometimes they figure those things out and you just gotta keep coming up with more creative tricks to use on them.

Dropping a deuce on the neighbours lawn is pretty funny..she's out marking some new territory haha.

Good to see the dog is walking good and going to the neighbor's. @Doctakay but if a dog pooped in my yard, I'd get very upset. Nobody touches my grass. I got mad at my neighbor a couple years ago for accidentally cutting one inch on my property.

Yeah I totally get it, its more like the shared street front but it was right on his boundary. I did the righty and picked it up.
He's not gunna approach me over anything tho, I had to put him in his place before.

My neighbours a dickhead, but I was sure to clean it up even though he didn't see it, cos you gotta do the righty no matter what.
Sounds like you should put it in a paper bag then lit it on fire on his doorstep lol

Thanks my bro, she's making decent improvements. She just gets tapped out after a while. She's spent the last three months pretty much sitting around while she healed with only very short 10-20M walks. She's doing alot more distance now.

Mobility Update 24/12/2025

Its another stinker of a day already. The past week we've seen 40+deg days and Delta doesn't do well in the heat.

She looks ok here although still stiff and not putting a great deal of drive or force to plant her back legs. She's putting most of her weight on her front legs still.

This is where I need to consider the variables when it comes to her willingness to move about. She is a Bully breed after all and if she doesnt wanna do something, she'll just not. 🤣

But there is an overlap in her fatigue levels I should take notice of. Is she staying put because she's sore or is it because its hot and she's puffed out?

The third variable is she also likes to take the piss. If she can get her way or get me me to do something for her, rather than her doing it herself, she will. Good example is the door step video, I ended up picking her up and bringing her inside.

Even though she had half a go, you can see how she is putting all her weight on the front legs, i think she was bludging it a bit rather than trying to bolster her rear.

We're headed off soon for a couple of days and can't bring her gear with us, so we'll pin 1mg before we leave.

As an aside. I've noticed her digestion is improved and her bowel movements are more regular and not as runny as they had been the past month.

She's favouring it but it's nice to see her mobile. This is truly one of my favourite logs right now. God bless Delta 🙏

Aww she's probably just tired from all the excercise and heat and worried about the step. If given the option, I'd like to be carried inside after running around in the 40 degree heat haha

@Doctakay looking really good on this. Hopefully the dog feels better. The fact that it can go to the bathroom is a good sign without any pain.

Always good to see a dog as part of the Evo family feeling better. Nice idea too with the turkey. That's a good protein source for them. @Doctakay

it was a she. She did not like picking up dog poop because she was a prissy chick. But if you're going to get a dog, you better learn how to pick up poop and stop being a wuss about it.

I'd just get a shovel and throw it back at them. I caught some dipshit throwing his dog shit bags up in a tree in our neighbourhood. Was looking for him for years til one day I finally caught him in the act. Then when I ran up on him he called me a bully LMAO!!!

I did that one day cause i got super pissed. problem was it later on escalated from there cause her new bf was a drug addict and psycho and he got nasty with me bigtime. so its a tough situation beefing with neighbors. that is why i like living in a neighborhood with a strict HOA. this way everyone is screened and you can't just let some random loser move in or let your dog shit everywhere.

Yeah I totally get it, its more like the shared street front but it was right on his boundary. I did the righty and picked it up.
He's not gunna approach me over anything tho, I had to put him in his place before.
yeah the neighbors kids were cutting the grass and when they turned the mower around it cut an inch of my grass. i came outside screaming at them to get the hell off my lawn !

Thanks my bro, she's making decent improvements. She just gets tapped out after a while. She's spent the last three months pretty much sitting around while she healed with only very short 10-20M walks. She's doing alot more distance now.
Bros, that's good though. She trying.

Merry Christmas Evo Fam

Hope everyone had a grouse day with Loved ones or doing something you Love.

Delta had a HUGE day with her buddy Alfonso today. She woke up a little stiff but was ok to walk down the step and have a squat. Then went down a whole flight of stairs by herself with no drama.

At first I was a tiny bit apprehensive about a day with Alf as he is such a rambunctious goldy, and they usually pummel each other for hours on end.
He went in pretty hard at the start but he quickly worked out that she isn't at full capacity and tamed it down. I kept a very close eye on them, but let her draw her own boundaries with him and whenever she needed to, she'd give him a corrective bark, or a nip.

She's dead to the world right now and completely exhausted, snoring on my
bed.
The full on play and exercise was the best form of physio today, she just kept coming at him for more.
She's been at her best when she's excited.
I think we've seen some improvement today, her leg drive was better even though she still favours the front.
I saw her run up a step and step up, and over several taller edges today.
Whenever she wanted a time out she could go inside away from Alf and chill on her bed. Which happened only twice. She preferred just chilling under the table if she wasn't out playing.

I've given her the last left over 300mg gabapeptin tablet before bed in some cheese so there's some anti-inflammatory action happening while she sleeps and recovers tonight from an enormous day of endless exercise.

Its taking me some time to convert video files, so in the meantime here's some photo's we took through the day.

They look so happy playing together. Good to see Delta in such good spirits and getting her reps in haha!

They had the best day together Brother.
They have this game where one of them grabs a ball and the other has to pull the ball from the others mouth.
A full day of push and pull. 💪🏻🤣

Here is Delly negotiating some steps. The back step on Christmas Day, and the flight of steps at the front door this morning on Boxing Day.

We're getting there Evo Fam. She's getting more confidence back which I believe is a big chunk the battle won. 👍🏻

Mobility Check Sunday 28/12025

We've been out and about today. She walked plenty of places like from.the car to the venues and didn't seem to fatigue.

She had plenty of horizontal drive when she wants to go say hello to other dogs, or walk into gardens to sniff rabbit scratchings. Just no vertical drive to push herself upward or hop like she used to.

No problems hopping down stairs, or stepping up small steps now. We ran out of BPC yesterday but I think there will be something nice in the mailbox tomorrow.

She takes to the rosehip vital without too much of a drama if she's hungry or realises there's no other option for her to be fussy about. 😅

Once we got back home we both took the advantage of our rest day in the loungeroom having a kip on the floor on her dog bed.

She flew down those stairs once she got going. Her mobility is looking a lot better. Her gate is looking a lot less laboured and more natural.

@Doctakay Awesome, man. This is a good update. I'm glad she's doing better and better.

Sometimes with pets they'll hold back from fear of the pain they had before. If there's no pain you have to help them do the old movements to let them overcome that fear.
That's bang on @Mobster. too right. She's confident on single steps now and coming down stairways. When she's excited and playing with Arch, there's no worries hopping over small ledges like up onto the deck and back because she's there in the moment.

I've been working with her to do more steps upward, by helping her with the movement of her back legs as if she would be springing upward. Its been slow going but she can do 2 steps up by herself and then she sort of starts to worry about going up any higher by herself. Its like she's worried if she slips she has a further ways to fall down. But I know she can do it. Just need to build that confidence back up in her. 💪🏻

Quick check in on some mobility.
After a coffee and a bite to eat down the street with a short walk, we navigated the front step again. Force of habit has her waiting to see if I'll pick her up, she gets it though.

Once we got home she had her BPC157.

A bit of humour Delta has the shits that Cruickshanks is sleeping on her bed. But isnt willing to do much about it 😆

The dog looks kind of sad in that picture. Maybe that's just the way its face looks. Do you think it's sad or is it just happy but it has that weird face? @Doctakay

She was deffo having a sook in that photo @Ulter bro. She's happy tho. She's just bungin' it on. She has a very expressive face, and wasn't in the mood for photos, she just wanted a nap and a treat.

Bros, that's good. That they're able to go downstairs and stuff. That's something I had years ago with a dog. It couldn't go up the stairs.
