It looks like my strain is getting better – still haven’t purchased any peptides yet.
yesterday I did 4x4 back squat at 80% + some wall balls and push presses, no pain at all.
I believe TRT is helping with reducing the inflammation. I also had a physio session, which I plan to repeat next week.
Luckily, on Monday I’m scheduled to get the hyaluronic acid injection in my knee (I do this twice a year).
I’m going to test a new compound for my knee called Cross Linked. They say it’s “revolutionary” – let’s see how it goes.
Meanwhile, I got my driver’s license suspended due to a hazardous overtaking (f*ck off). So, it’s a lot of biking for me lately. I’ve also joined a new CrossFit gym that’s closer to home. The workouts are a bit lighter, but still enough to keep me on track.
Riding a bike here can feel kind of rough – we don’t have proper bike lanes (it’s dangerous!), the streets are narrow with poor lighting (winter is coming) and in general, people associate cycling with those who can’t afford a car, don’t have legal documents (immigrants), and work in delivery. But honestly, I don’t care.
I should be able to drive again in about 20 days. Until then, I’ll enjoy this de-load period in the new gym.
My regular gym feels like the Tiger’s Den – heavy lifting, long sessions, short rests, tons of ego lifters, and poor technique. So ironically, I’m actually feeling more motivated in this “sh*tty” period.
Also, yesterday after 20 years or so, I ran into an old-school bodybuilder and gym owner from my village – the guy who first introduced me to bodybuilding when I was 18. To me, he’s like Master Roshi from Dragon Ball (if you know what I mean). He said I’m in great shape, and honestly, that meant a lot to me.
Tonight I’m grabbing a pint and a spliff with some friends – just chilling, catching up, and dealing with house stuff with the missus. And yeah, riding a bike doesn’t mean I’ll overdo it with booze... if I want do do it, I do it even when I drive....
I’ll post again soon about the TRT journey – I’ll be tracking my weight and body fat just to see where I’m at.
Sorry for unloading all my stuff here – it’s just a so-so period with the missus right now. We’re not talking much in these days, and when we do, we don’t really share the same passions, so sometimes it’s a bit frustrating, but that's life, they say.
