Its been 4 days since I last posted up here in my log. Honestly it felt like it was getting tedious and negative constantly talking about how sick I am and how I can't do anything. Turned into a bummer of a log so I figured I'd stay out until I got some positive news to report.

Thursday I got the day off work cuz of a blizzard and staying home all day really helped. I worked outside in the cold all day yesterday and felt kinda wrecked when I got home from work, but better than before. Today I woke up feeling pretty much all better finally. The only lingering symptom is the occasional congestion and some minor shortness of breath.

Honestly I'm feeling like myself again for the first time in a week and half. Feels like with a good night's sleep tonight and more rest tomorrow I'll be back to full strength again.

Currently my mood is back up, libido is back, and appetite is way up again. Its been 9 days off cycle and 10 days since I last trained. Looks like this week could be the time I finally get back at it again.

The only real negative is my weight fell off a cliff these last few days. I was maintaining my macros and calories throughout the sickness, but I guess my body was burning a ton of extra energy fighting off this flu. Nothing I could do about it cuz I was already force feeding myself just trying to maintain macros.

No more scary healthy warning on my whoop strap and my recovery is almost peaked today. Looking close to my normal self again according to the metrics.

Would like to see your resting heart rate drop into the 60s. @BeMe it definitely should be lower. Mid 70s is okay but for an athlete you want to be closer to 65 or 60 or less.

It sounds like you're getting over your sickness. Being sick is really tough. Just keep in mind, though, your body is still going to be vulnerable so be careful. You don't want to catch something else. @BeMe
 
It’s weird for me. I never did it thinking I was going to get rich or anything. It wasn’t greed. I just didn’t see a better way at the time. Was there a better way? Surely. But that was the opportunity that was available to me. I never intended to make a career out of it. My regrets are for the people around me. That was what I took for granted.
Yea that's what really made me change. Letting down the people I care about. Promised my parents I wouldn't put them through that again the first time but the second time was actually a lot harder on them. When I was at court my mom actually ran into one of her friends which was probably embarassing for her. That ladies son was in the holding cells with me and he was on manslaughter charges so it was probably worse for the other lady lol
 
I've run a log through all but the worst days of illness. If, for no other reason, than people offering help and suggestions to mitigate the illness
I'd be fine with that if I was showing signs of improvement and had something to offer. I kept it going for over a week but by the middle of week 2 it felt like it was just way to much negativity and no results

Neither of us were into fast food so each day was close to $200 and up. If we went out with friends that weren't making a lot of money I'd always pickup the tab too.

Up here plumbers usually charge a little bit more than us. Its pretty much the same but I think their union rate is a dollar or 2 an hour higher than us.

Bro u just gotta charge her for the BBC lol
 
Sometimes it takes a couple of strikeouts to finally learn your lesson. @BeMe I know I've learned my lesson hard dealing with women over the years. But it's good, at least we have the gym to free our minds.
Ya the gym is a must. All this time off being sick really messed with my head. Being inactive doesn't work for me. I'm like that dog breed that chews up the house if it doesn't get walked enough

Yea my RHR always goes up on cycle and in the winter. Off cycle during the non snowy months my RHR is usually around 67-68. Could be better though. Vaping probably doesn't help

yep for normal people who aren't constantly getting family money coming in all the time we gotta live modest.

i know a guy who comes from a super rich family who never worked a day in his life, everytime he has an aunt or uncle die he collects 150K or inherits a house. its a constant income stream. he does nothing but party, vacations, and casinos. he is such a moron with money too that he loses so much playing the markets and gambling it all away. yet he doesn't have to worry cause his family is so damn wealthy so he got more money coming

I'm gonna give it 1 more day just to make sure I'm 100% then I'm gonna start training again on Tuesday.

Cardio was definitely part of the plan to try and get my lung capacity back. I've been hitting the sauna daily right now to try and help with that a bit.

I was thinking this week I'm going to run a deload training week. Keep everything light and low volume and feel things out as the week progresses.

and you should be doing a very light week back did you see my push ups suggestion?
push ups squats sit ups planks and small home cardio 1st for 3-4 days get your breathing back no weights no machines

Yea I was waiter myself for a few years so I was always a big tipper too. Alotta people don't realize that servers make almost nothing in base pay. Its all tips. Where I worked my hourly rate was $4. If the restaurant was dead then I literally made nothing. I didn't mind tho cuz I was hustling at that time lol. I liked serving and it was good having an all cash job to explain my earnings to my parents or the bank on applications

Yea but I can't really do proper push ups. My messed up wrist only had about 60% mobility and I can only achieve like 20 degrees of dorsiflexion. Its pretty bad.

I used dumbells for pushups sometimes though.

I'd like to run a deload variation of my program to start going through all the motions again and work on some progression through the week to see how it goes. This way I have a better gauge of where I'm at now vs before.

Never been sick like this before or taken this much time off. I'm in no man's land at the moment.

it was about 20-25 years ago man. so def not these days. pretty sure he OD'd on coke and just didn't wake up. but just shows the mentality of people like this. they don't take life seriously like you said cause they never had to grind in life, it was all given to them by family. i personally got zero respect for trust fund babies, they will never get it at all.

Switch to planks, sit ups, sissy squats, and some light cardio, avoid full training 1st days back

deload start 3 days after you do natty exercises just stretching and bodyweight training
after 3 days, next 3 days you got 30% of your normal volume in reps/weight and only 1 set per exercises
time off 2 days
next 3 days you got 50% of your normal volume in reps/weight and only 1 set per exercises
after this we can see how you feel

That’s a shame. Coke OD is rare. I’ve known a couple of trust fund kids that were pretty down to earth. Mostly not though. My friend Tom, his dad was one of the biggest land developers around here. Tom had a yacht and stuff. Super ridiculously hard working and generous. He’s personally frugal in his day to day life. You wouldn’t have known he had a yacht. My grandma worked for him which allowed her to raise five kids on her her own with a small farm and a new Benz. But you would’ve thought she was his boss by the looks of it hahaha. He’s super old now still works full time at a casino.

Yea that kinda rich, guys usually turn out ok. I know a couple of big builders sons and most of them turned out good. Its the mega rich kids that end up really messed up almost always from what I've seen. Especially when their parents live in forwing countries and just send them endless money

it might not have been coke. he went to sleep and didn't wake up with blood coming out from his nose. gf was sleeping next to him the whole night and never knew he died. left a 1 year old baby behind a damn shame

vaping definitely doesn't help. I'm surprised you are doing that. It's horrible for you and it's no wonder that you're sick all the time.

It’s easier to quit vaping than smoking, by a fair amount. I don’t prefer to quit cold turkey. I did it twice, really quit, for years. Other people, best thing is to just quit and be done. I get waaaaay too irritable

Use the patch IMO. Amazon has these really inexpensive patches that are 28mg and are perforated four ways. Pouches are almost like chewing, the way I see it, and chewing is the absolute hardest ROÍ to quit. From what I’ve seen. With the patch, you get a more than adequate amount of nicotine steady in your blood stream so you only have to deal with the mental/physical habit. But whatever you do, don’t take any other nicotine with the patch on or you’ll quickly raise your tolerance and defeat the whole purpose. I’d knock a square off every month or so. That gives you four months to drop to zero. And then don’t ever touch it again because we are addicted to nicotine for life. If I hit a vape or smoke a cigarette I’ll be right back at it like I never quit. Nicotine addiction has a genetic component.

Patches are pretty awesome🤷‍♂️. Bonus you have the BEST dreams of you wear them when you’re sleeping. Goes good with gh because you want to sleep, but the patch makes going to sleep exciting hahahaha. Get your nightly pre bed ritual on in preparation of of flying through an alien landscape with your mom hahaha

Yea bro I count my blessings everyday, literally. Always take a few moments out of everyday to be grateful for my wife, my family, and the life I have. Sometimes I really almost can't believe how good things turned out all things considered. I was dead broke and addicted to opiates a little over a decade ago

I think in many states in usa you can vape anywhere.
Though, I like the nicotine pouches not the vaping, the vaping just reminds me of smoking too much @BeMe

I quit for the very most part after ten years. That was the first cold turkey. Did it over Christmas and wouldn’t barely talk to anyone for a week. Basically didn’t get out of bed because everything made me irrationally angry and I didn’t want to put that on anyone.

Didn’t touch nicotine for about a year and a half and after I was over the cravings I felt amaaaaazing.

Smoked one cigarette, got sick, bought a pack. And then kept quitting and failing for… years

Let's do out cardio together bro! can't stand cardio too and usually skip it. My lung capacity is smashed after that flu so it's a must now. I wonder who else I know could use some improved cardio following an illness..lol

Yea bro it's not safe going to work like this. Plus by the time I got outta the shower last night my wife was already sleeping!!! Man was I pissed LOL. Very quick to anger at work today. Had to let emails sit in the draft box for a while before sending them just so I wouldn't slip up and tell people how stupid their questions were

Sorry bro too late. Started my deload training tonight and I gotta say it felt amazing. Got 26mins in on the treadmill after too. Felt alive again. I was actually happy when I was on a treadmill lol. That never happens.

I can't do the bodyweight stuff. Something about it feels so lame. Especially planks and sissy squats lol. They're hard but not in a fun way, more annoying.

I'll be smart and listen to my body. I always know what's going on, I'm well in tune with my body. I just choose to ignore it and power through all the time. I won't do that right now promise.

I thought the exact same thing when I woke up this morning lol. I think it might have to do with the fact that I basically didn't wake up all night. Woke up around 3am to take a leak but other than that it was pretty much solid sleep. Most nights u got like 30-40 mins of awake time

Lol nothing like waking up and getting a bitching from your tracker eh. Its funny cuz sometimes when you wake up you feel great and you're like this thing doesn't know shit, then later in the day the fatigue sets in and you're like damn..it was right.

Its weird, for me the 19nors improve my sleep. Improve my mood as well.

Tren had me sleeping like a baby and happy as a clam lol

I haven't found a compound yet that effects my sleep negatively thankfully but if I do I'll have to drop it cuz sleep is top priority for me and my job. If I'm a couple hours short on sleep I get sloppy at work and it can be dangerous. I was worried that was gonna be a problem with Tren but even at 40mg ED I was still sleeping great.

That way I cant cheat and do a bunch of extra reps to make up for the lack of weight lol. Its a great system to keep me in line. I figured out everything before I trained with the reps and sets and stuck to my number exactly.

Cut all the sets down to 1 or 2 for each movement as well.

Having this type of structure will keep me in check.

No extra reps at all. Not even 1. Just 60% weight, exact same reps as I was doing previously. No excuses, just stickn to the formula.

Yea bro openness and honesty is all you'll ever get from me. I always speak my mind even if it gets me in trouble lol. I just figure as long as I'm keeping it real and being honest I can't be wrong to speak my mind.

Yea bro it's literally my 1 last vice in life. I don't even drink energy drinks anymore lol. Such a lame. The traffic here in Toronto is so bad and I do so much driving for work I duno how I would get through it without getting in endless fights without my vape. Its gotta go this year tho. Its amazing how much just a quick thought about your blessings each day puts everything else into perspective. Even after a bad day just having your health is enough to be thankful for and wash the day away.

Well that's not true. Its propelyne glycol, same stuff as smoke machines. I don't vape around people who don't smoke or vape and I use a small vape so I don't really exhale all that much. Not like the old box mods where you're chucking clouds. The new ones are more low key

First day back moving some weight around in the gym and man it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders, pun intended. It wasn't much, but even that little workout did something big for me mentally. Having a bit of a cheat pump felt like getting high lol. I was walking on my treadmill after so happy, and I hate the treadmill lol

Managed to maintain my self control and stick to the deload program. No extra reps, no cheating to get extra work at all. Just focusing on great form and execution and being thankful to just train again.

Recovery is great again today. Woke up feeling well rested, no soreness or illness creeping back. If I can keep this up into next week I'm gonna get back into it and start training for real again. Even my lungs are feeling better. Not getting windy or dizzy at all anymore. Just gotta keep up with my cardio and recovery and I should be back to full strength in no time.

First day back moving some weight around in the gym and man it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders, pun intended. It wasn't much, but even that little workout did something big for me mentally. Having a bit of a cheat pump felt like getting high lol. I was walking on my treadmill after so happy, and I hate the treadmill lol

Managed to maintain my self control and stick to the deload program. No extra reps, no cheating to get extra work at all. Just focusing on great form and execution and being thankful to just train again.

Recovery is great again today. Woke up feeling well rested, no soreness or illness creeping back. If I can keep this up into next week I'm gonna get back into it and start training for real again. Even my lungs are feeling better. Not getting windy or dizzy at all anymore. Just gotta keep up with my cardio and recovery and I should be back to full strength in no time.

Glad to see your tracking back to health brother. Getting back in the gym would be a huge load off mentally. Your BP is excellent, wasn't it a bit higher recently? Watch out for that increase in cardio (whatever that is????) It could have been what was raising your BP before 😁🩵

Yea I better stop the cardio to keep my BP in check lol

Yea it was creeping up there in the mid 130s on Tren. I was partially to blame skipping my cardio, like everyday lol.

BP looks better today cuz I actually sat for a couple minutes before taking the reading. Usually I'm in a rush so I just sit down and take the reading right away. Probably being so healthy again and recovering so well is helping to bring it down too
 
Naw that's how people are depressed when they have everything they could ever need in life. Its amazing how much just a quick thought about your blessings each day puts everything else into perspective. Even after a bad day just having your health is enough to be thankful for and wash the day away.
Really good idea first thing in the morning to give thanks to three or five things that you have.

Actually I didn't even think about it til now but it's been 2 weeks...thanks for reminding me bro LOL!! The pain is fresh again

I'm gonna hop back on soon. My bodies feeling normal again so maybe next week. I'm running Tren A so it will come back quick


Yeah I been off Tren for couple weeks , but I think I actually have withdrawals or some shit coz I’m actually in the foulest mood today for no particular reason

Well that's not true. Its propelyne glycol, same stuff as smoke machines. I don't vape around people who don't smoke or vape and I use a small vape so I don't really exhale all that much. Not like the old box mods where you're chucking clouds. The new ones are more low key
yeah it's really absurd but I'm glad that you don't smoke in front of people.
It gives you something to shoot for, quitting the vape. You don't need it and it's not good for you.

I say affirmations in the morning. It sounds corny and hippy dippy but it starts my day positively everyday. Then I count my blessings when I get home and settled down after a workday. Sort of like a de-stressing excercise.

Just doing those 2 things I think has made me a much calmer happier person overall

Yea it makes a pretty big difference. Just 2 or 3 minutes of sitting still and relaxing can change the reading by a lot. Guess that's why they say we should do it everytime LOL

If I don't have time I can sorta estimate where I'm really at so it's fine.
