I’m looking for some constructive criticism on my cycle setup that me and a buddy of mine’s put together
my goals are to cut down I’m currently around 17% body fat and I’m approximately 217 lbs
I would like to lean out a little bit I’m 26 years old
my metabolism is sort of slow so I was thinking of maybe using primo and maybe a little testosterone should I go with 600 mg of primo and go pretty high and then run 200 mg of testosterone for 14 weeks or should I try something different?
17% body fat at 217lbs, cool, but what’s your body composition? Are you carrying 170lbs of lean tissue with abs in the mirror, or is this just a "get lean for summer" thing? Because unless you're competing or pushing for something long-term (e.g., growth phase prep, photoshoot, etc.), dropping body fat from 17% isn't functionally necessary, it’s mostly just vanity. Which is fine, but let’s be honest about the why.
Also, there’s no such thing as a "slow metabolism." That’s a cop-out. Metabolism is surprisingly efficient, and if you're not dropping weight, it’s a calories issue, not a mythical thyroid goblin. So don’t let that idea be the foundation for running PEDs.
Is this your first cycle? If yes, do not start with Primo and Test. That’s like test-driving a Ferrari while blindfolded. Run test-only first (e.g., 200mg–250mg per week) and see how you respond: libido, BP, hematocrit, lipids, mood, recovery, etc. Then you’ll know what’s you and what’s the compound. Only after that should you even think about adding something else like Primo.
If you insist on running both now (still not recommended if you're new), yes, Primo 600mg + Test 200mg together, not one after the other. But be aware: 600mg of Primo is a pretty hefty dose for a first-time compound. If it's legit (which is a huge if), you’ll see results from as low as 300–400mg.
Also, 14 weeks is short for Primo. It’s a long-ester compound and takes time to show its value. If you're going that route, 16–20 weeks is more typical, and you'd ideally taper back into a TRT dose after.
But again, if this is your first rodeo, just run Test and diet properly. PEDs don’t override poor programming or nutrition.
