Veteran Log First Testosterone Cycle Log

Do you or did you sweat that much that electrolytes are an issue?
I sweat at work sometimes. I sweat a lot on my cardio days and a decent amount on weight training days. I don't wake up with a soaking wet bed anymore since I got the Eight Sleep but I think I still sweat a bit overnight.

Naw didn't take any pics. It was a mess though. We had a really bad ice storm here a couple weeks back. Wasn't pretty. People without power for over a week. Pretty Canadian problem to have a devistating ice storm in mid April lol

Log Day 18

Yesterday was a cardio day. Weather was beautiful, for Canada, so I went for a walk to get my steps up to 10k. Then I did a 30min pyramid row for 8.5km.

Electrolytes seem to be helping with the cramping I was getting at work. Still feeling glute pumps after extended periods of ladder work. I guess that's the Anavar.

Excited to hit the weights after work. Hoping to feel the primo start helping out my training sometime soon.

Do you take deload weeks on cycle? I usually train 5 weeks then 1 week deload. I started my gear 2.5 weeks ago, but this week is my 6th/deload week in my training cycle.

Yesterday was a rest day and my mom's bday. Went up to the family cottage and had some family time. Managed to get 14k steps in on a hike and clearing up some trees that were down after a recent storm.

I forgot my electrolytes and by the end of the day I did notice a bunch of joint pain. My knuckles, one big toe, wrists, knees, and one elbow felt dry and achy. It got progressively worse into the evening, but I feel good so far this morning. Slept well last night but went to bed later than usual.

Weekly Update 3
Test 200mg, Primo 100mg, 20mg anavar/daily

Just got back home so don't have time for update pics. Will add some when I get a chance.

Training progression has continued on the same dose as I started with. Tomorrow night will be my 6th bi weekly injection.

Sleep has been good, weekly results below.

Weight is unchanged. I seem to have stopped gaining this week.

All other bio markers seem good. Recovery was worse that usual this week but I did feel like my body might be battling off a bit of a sickness.

Thanks bro. Sounds like your a fellow data nerd who loves tracking too? The more you track the more you know right.

I can't even count the number of little adjustments I've made incrementally over these past 2 years. Especially when it comes to improving sleep quality.

That's the goal. Try to be consistent and make it as simple as possible to allow for members the follow my progression and offer up their input. I've gotten so much great advice already and made a lot of improvements. I'm new to peds so every bit of advice is a big deal for me.

Your body weight is trending up. Good job. Keep putting on the muscle.
 
deload doesnt have to be 100% bro i have clients doing deload meaning 50% less volume not nothing at all lol
Yea my program drops me to around 50%

I'm an all or nothing kind of guy in everything I do. Sometimes it's good sometimes it's bad. These days I make sure I'm all in on the good.

I don't even like my first 2 weeks of a training cycle when I have to leave 3 or 2 RIR. I trust the science so I do what's best, but I love going til I can't go anymore.

I checked out your log and wow. You're running a serious stack. Looks like you're really knowledgeable when it comes to the science. Your HRV and RHR are amazing. Do you mind if I ask how old you are? I wish I could get numbers like that.
 
Ya now that summer is coming it definitely will be. I live in Canada and all my hobbies involve riding and above zero weather...I really need to move.

I have been known to ride my motorcycle in 3 degree Celsius days. That's 37 degrees for you southern boys lol

Really depends on what time of year it is up here. A month ago if it was 37 and sunny with no wind we'd be outside in t shirts enjoying the "warm weather" haha

@LevButlerov it's on me..just stress stuff. Had to get out of bed and take some time to intentionally calm myself. A little meditation and walking around helps me. I sleep very well typically.

While I got you master yoda, my 7th injection is coming up tomorrow. Since day 1 been running 200mg test, 100mg primo weekly with the 20mg anavar sublingually daily. Mind you my TRT dose for the 6 months prior was 180mg weekly and estrogen was good and test was around 900.

Weight has not been going up even though I'm averaging 3400cal a day following your 300Protein 250 Carb outline.

Sleep is good overall.

Libido is raging lol. No joint pain.

Energy good, but recovery hasn't been as great as earlier in the cycle.

You mentioned titration wouldn't take place til around 4 weeks in. Should I start bumping up? If I did titrate should I maintain this ratio or start getting close to 1:1

Sorry for all the questions but I've been following all your advice to a tee thus far and I'd rather defer to your expertise then deviate on my own and possibly mess something up.
 
One other important thing I forgot to mention is my appetite is wayyyy up. Especially this past week. I feel like I'm a metabolic furnace. I've been limiting my carbs so only 1 pb sandwich at lunch, but I feel like I could eat 3. That one sandwich is heavenly lol. PB on Ezekiel never tasted so good

Appetite is up thats perfect, but with bp sandwich use almond butter.

Probiotics are arriving on Saturday. I found a brand I like after doing some research. I can pickup some psyllium too if necessary.

I'm curious because I'm wondering when I should titrate up my test and primo and not spike my estradiol too high.

@BeMe it really depends on the person, but I would say 3-4 weeks really starts going.

For testosterone, up it by week 4 to around 250mgs, can you do that?

When I read a bunch of the other guys old logs a lot of them were running primo higher than test. One member suggested if test goes over 300 you need to run the Primo much higher to avoid a need for an AI. I've been trying to read as much as I can here and the iron gorillas ebooks.

Done and done. I always had a pretty good metabolism but I can literally feel my body burning energy now. My body is running hotter and I'm always hungry. I just ate a giant bowl of veggies, a bowl of fruit, hummus, wheat crackers, and 2 bags of jerky 2 hours ago and I was barely satiated. Looking forward to sushi in an hour lol

I guess that makes sense. Especially if it's only like a TRT+ kinda cycle. My cycle kickstart with the Anavar felt pretty good. Maybe I'll add some NPP towards the end of this cycle to get that super physiological push.

Ya I've seen people say you can run primo at a low dose for way longer than other cycles. I wouldn't mind going for 16 weeks with a blast at some point in the middle or towards the end.

Log Day 22

Still on 200mg test, 100mg primo, 20mg anavar, 7th injection on cycle last night.

Yesterday was a rest day on my deload week, so I just did a zone 2/3 steady state 30min row.

New macro targets from today on. Protein 350, Fat 130, Carbs 300. Hopefully these new macros will help me start putting some weight back on, because man am I lean right now.

Went to an insanely high end omakase sushi restaurant last night, but I fucked up and drank too much green tea and messed up my sleep. Small price to pay for that meal though. Almost would've been better just having a Japanese beer like I wanted but thought better of.

Ya I figured as much. I guess what I was trying to understand is the dosing plan based off how others have gone about it. If I'm bumping my test I'm thinking I need to maintain the primo ratio for now. Then increase primo according to how I react to the bump in test?

I'm pretty tuned in with my body so I can do a decent job of flying blind. My next bloodwork is booked for May 31. I'll be talking to my doctor about doing monthly draws from that point on while I'm on cycle.

Thanks for treating me like a client. I appreciate the professional help. I was more concerned up increasing the test than the primo. From everything I've read test is the more risky of the two.

Not gonna lie, I did consider taking pics for the EVO fam, but this was a really really classy restaurant. Like $40 a piece of sushi classy. The restaurant only seats 12 people and 3 sushi chefs work for 4 people all night. I just couldn't be that guy lol

Isn't primo a DHT derivative like anavar, but different molecularly. I think it was an oxygen molecule in the var if I remember right from YouTube.

Primo wouldn't help to balance out NPP the way var or proviron do?

@BeMe it is a DHT yes, but proviron is the best at balancing out DHN.

Interesting thanks. You just gave me another rabbit hole to dive down. So if I wanted to add NPP I'd really be adding 2 compounds at once on top of the test, primo, and var. Sounds like a lot to manage for noob like me

proviron can be classified more as a drug then a steroid. it is a very unique one.

From what I see on the main page, we both looking for longevity in our approach. Very pleased to see that. I often see insane protocols from the get go. I just don't adhere to that.

You have an amazing foundation and are very structured. Lean starting point is always great. And you've got a lot of mass on the frame already. I'm sure you are already hooked like I am 🤣

Looking forward to following your journey. Evo family has been amazing for me so far.. I'm glad we can share our experiences openly without judgement. 🙌🏻

You have an amazing foundation and are very structured. Lean starting point is always great. And you've got a lot of mass on the frame already. I'm sure you are already hooked like I am 🤣

I was always curious how it would feel to be super physiological and wanted to add about 10-15lbs lean so why not give it a go. I've always been serious about diet, supplementation, and fitness so this seemed like the next logical progression for a bit.

I just checked out your log and if I looked like you I probably wouldn't even be doing this lol. How were you so dry before even hopping on?? Your starting pics look like your about to hop on stage in a physique show.

I'm 40 and I was on TRT before I started this cycle. I started TRT about 7 months ago just before I turned 40.

Wow you weren't kidding about Provirons unique characteristics. Sounds pretty interesting. I hope it wouldn't increase my fertility tho. I love my TRT fertility lol. Having small balls that don't do anything is awesome.

Sound like you have to front load Proviron. I saw a recommended dosing schedule of 75mg/day for a month then drop down to 25-50mg for a 6-12 week cycle. I would probably have to run N2guard on top of my Tudca if I was eating that many lipid smashing pills right.

@BeMe I can tell that with your work ethic and structure, your 10 pounds of lean tissues will be very possible even at low dose. You are obviously not going to let randomness interfere with all your planning and analysis. So far I'm amazed with what we can achieve with mild dosage and very basic compounds. But of course everything else needs to be on point. No shortcut. Training, diet, sleep, stress management, first. Then, gear. Seems like you are preaching this approach too and with your starting point, the evolution will be beautiful 🎖️your log will be on my reading list for tomorrow morning with my coffee.

To be honest, because of my athletic past, my weight as always been a mental issue of mine. The lighter I was on the bike the more performant I was. So when I switched to bodybuilding, i never actually did a proper bulk to go from 135 to 165 pounds. I always stayed very lean as I was afraid of getting fat. Because I basically had no muscle mass at the start, I was able to gain while staying very dry and lean year round. But I store most of the fat I have in my legs. So the upper body is misleading. Add a great vascularity to the mix and yeah, I guess it seems like I am always on prep 😆 wanting to stay lean and not properly bulk came at a cost though. Upper body had developed much more than the legs. And because I still like aerobic sports like hiking and cycling, I have a hard time growing them.

Thanks 👍🏻 yes, rough times last year. Bad habits are now out of the way. The good thing is I still had the iron to lift me up when I was down low. If it wasn't for the love of the sport, honestly, I can't imagine how bad things would be today 😔💪🏻

I'm the opposite of you, always big legs and upper body lags. I played hockey competitively from the time I was little so I got the classic big quads and hockey butt that never fit any jeans right. Always gotta size up 2 sizes and pull the waist in with a belt lol.

Glad to meet you bro. Keep up the hard work and positivity cuz it's very obvious that it's already paying off big time.

So you are in QC tho? If so, then yes I have a rough idea of where you're at and I'm really jealous if I'm right. We don't have any "Monts" in Ontario. I have a mountain bike rack for one of my motorcycles and I'm thinking of trying a road trip out there at some point. I can be in Gatineau in about 4 hours and I hear there's some nice riding out there.

Crazy that your legs don't blow up from all the riding. A lot of MTB guys have pretty big quads and massive calves.

Gatineau is nice indeed. Some nice roads there but I really don't like driving places to ride. Guess I'm just spoiled being next to the trails. If I ever take the car it's to go the Kingdom Trails in the US.

Legs and arms are hard gainers. And my long freaking forearms don't help. Thats is justy silly excuse 🤪 They get lean and vascular but can't really build mass without gaining tons of fats. Fat distribution is not in my favor for lower body.

Talking of lower body. I saw your home gym setup. I also train 40% of the time at home and been looking for a decent leg curl and leg extension that is plate loaded. What is yours and do you like the resistance curve of it? All I can find that is decent is selectorized machines. A few plate loaded pop up here and there on marketplace but they usually aren't commercial grades. Leg curls are very difficult to find :/

I've been reading on gear for a year before jumping in to understand the interactions and the human body as a whole. I would probably be totally messed up have I used the "bro" doses. Good thing I went slow and responsibly like you are doing. This is no joke. For instance you run 180mg of test on TRT. I over aromatize at a similar dose with estradiol at 255 pmol/L. A baby dose for most hard core bodybuilder. But that is what I love, there is no one size fits all and the challenge is the be able to navigate through all this data to fine tune and make it work and find the most effective dose for the least amount of side effects. For data nerds like us, this is a dream. 😅

You are looking insane honestly. And it's only the beginning. 176-180 lbs lean is a great starting point. This gives me tons of motivation as I'm still at the peak of my bulk at 180 lbs. I can only aspire to work diligently like you are doing to get to this weight while being lean.

The one I had previously was good for the money. I got it brand new for $250 so I couldn't complain. The resistance curve was ok..not a great stretch because of the lever arm style. This cam style will fix that but it's obviously more expensive. I preordered this one 3 months ago. The down side of this one is I'm losing the seated curl in lieu of a laying curl.

I hope you will like this machine! when i started building my home gym, i bought an Altas adjustable bench. Semi-commercial grade, but was wayyy cheaper than Atlantis and other commercial names. And i regret it ever since. The plastic knob for adjustment (the part we use the most) is made of plastic and breaks down every now and then. The foam pad is thick but not very hard. Too soft for proper benching, gets wobbly. The saying about you get what you pay for was right in this case. Hopefully the extension machine will serve you better than my bench did.

I'm very jealous of your transformer bar though :(
 
Log Day 23

Overshot my carbs a bit but nailed the protein. First day on new macros, feeling good this morning. Sleep was great and I noticed my muscles looked less flat this morning, I'm thinking that's the extra carbs. Training was fine, still on my deload week. Got just over 11k steps on the trails with my dogs. Overall feeling good and another strong day on the books.

Honestly, just buy Rep. Bang for buck Rep is the best and it's holds its value well for resale if that day ever comes. Rogue is great to, but pricey.

The transformer bar was a must for me. I had shoulder surgery years ago and lost mobility. Reaching behind for barbell squats is pretty painful. I had an SSB before but the transformer took it too a whole new level better replicating actually low bar and highbar squats. Kabuki really knows what they're doing.
 
How long does it typically take you guys to start feeling the Primo? From what I read it's 3-6weeks?

I'm curious because I'm wondering when I should titrate up my test and primo and not spike my estradiol too high.

Last check Feb. 22/25, 180mg test weekly, estradiol 161 pmol/L, free test 920 pmol/L
Primobolan isnf something you typically will feel and everyone repsonds differently with any compounds you use if i had to say for a feel, i noticed week 8-12 i got alot stronger and my endurance was up, not something u feel, unless we talking about pip i felt that shit day 1 😂
