Second Cycle Options - Test/EQ?

26 / 5f10 / 75kg currently – Looking for advice on second cycle for lean, keepable gains

Hey guys,

Just looking for some opinions from people who’ve actually run longer, lower-dose lean bulk cycles and had decent results from them.

Quick background:

  • 26 years old
  • Currently sitting around 75kg after a cut
  • First cycle was 350mg test only for 20 weeks
  • Got up to my heaviest at 87kg
  • After the cycle I cruised on 150mg TRT for about 8 weeks while deciding whether I wanted to blast/cruise long term or fully come off
  • Ended up deciding to PCT because I’d rather keep trying proper cycles while recovery still works, then think about TRT later down the line if needed
Honestly recovery went way better than I expected:

  • Around 3 weeks after PCT my bloodwork/test levels were already back around my old mid-normal natural range
  • Muscles filled back out pretty quickly once hormones normalized again
  • Settled around 83kg after PCT before starting my cut
Spent the last couple months cutting and obviously lost a bit of size, but overall I actually look a lot better now — leaner, tighter, and happier with the physique overall (photos attached).

For this next cycle I’m not really chasing crazy scale weight or that super watery “big” look. More interested in:

  • clean lean tissue
  • slower gains I can realistically hold onto
  • low side effects
  • something manageable over a longer run (thinking around 20 weeks again)
Current idea:

  • 350 test
  • 175 EQ
Main reason for EQ is that primo is ridiculously expensive.

Also tossing up adding either:

  • Anavar for the first 6 weeks
    OR
  • Tbol for the first 6 weeks
Main questions:

  • Would you just stick with test only again since I responded well the first time?
  • Is EQ even worth running at 175mg or is that too low to notice much other than a AI?
  • Anavar vs Tbol for a lean bulk/recomp style setup?
  • Any other compounds you’d recommend that are relatively low-side-effect for slow quality gains?
  • And is another 20-week run reasonable for this kind of approach?
Would appreciate advice from people who’ve actually done similar cycles rather than just repeating theory online.

Cycle set up ain't bad - 16 weeks will be fine. For some even a 2:1 test/EQ ratio will still nuke their E2. I don't think thats too low - could always go 400T/200EQ. You could always go test and deca at the same ratio - you shouldn't blow up - it certainly worked for me.
Var - run it at the back end for the last 6 weeks.

I’d love to run deca or npp but I don’t feel confident managing progrestone and won’t be able to come off if I chose decca. Plus reading horror stories of the mental sides can be intimidating. Any experience of tbol vs anavar? After research the back end might be the go to not mess health markers up at the start of cycle. Thanks for the reply

Yes its worth it even at 50-100mgs

but what you need to do is start a log now even before the cycle because we need your day to day bodyweight, calories and macros, training numbers, sleep, BP, and labs so we can actually dial the EQ and aromasin and stop guessing. We dont even know your pre cycle log and we are guessing on this as well tbh. 15min to start a pre cycle log where we talk about dialing in.

HOW-TO LOG?

Why is a Log Journal important?

  • Doing a log will actually help you way more than just dropping random updates. When you lay it all out week by week you start to see patterns in your body that you won’t catch otherwise.
  • Other guys here run logs all the time and there’s no privacy issue, nobody is asking for your name or anything personal, it is just training, diet, and how the compound feels.
  • The feedback you get is also way better because people can follow along and spot things you might miss. It also helps the next guy who is thinking about running the same compound so you are giving back while you learn.
  • Even if you think you might not stick with it, just starting the log makes it easier to come back and add quick notes. That way you get more out of what you are running instead of keeping it all in your head.

To really guide you we need more info from you:
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight,height,age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.

@jcampbell 350 test and 175 eq would work. i like adding an oral to it. that will be perfectly fine

I appreciate the reply and feedback! I’ll definitely start a log after holidays as im in Phillipines for a month starting Monday. I could actually log over there. That might even be the plan to fill my time in as I’ll still be training most days. Thanks

You should start a log asap not wait for a month :D you can easily log in PH just share training food @jcampbell

You could reverse things and put the EQ at a higher dosage in the testosterone to let the EQ shine.
 
Is crashing Estrogen an issue though ? I would be keen as I assume not as many side affects as half as Androgenic as test. Have you run higher eq then test before ?
I've always done it that way and I never had crashed estrogen but hey, everybody is different.

I'm seeing a lot of people using equipoise these days. It's really coming on strong because it's a very versatile steroid. I think you'll enjoy it.

you need to adjust things to suit you. everyone converts different and your body does change. don't be afraid to do things your own way if that makes sense

Bros, you should do fine on this. Anavar and TBol, that's a tough choice. Anavar, though, would get my vote but it's a little more expensive.
